Yes, that's definitely the intent - characters with a strong friendship bond. It doesn't have to be specifically about friendship. I think the Riyria books take up half of my friendship shelf, Renee. :D
Amber, I have a shelf of books that have a theme of friendship so you could see if anything interests you there. There's not much on it, but there are also some books that you might not think of.
Linda wrote: "Since we're moving and packing, This feels like the last challenge..."It can wait until you're in a better place to figure out the email address part. Good luck moving!
Linda wrote: "Linda's Three-Part Reading Challenge 2017..."Hi Linda, you actually need to set up your own thread to track your personal challenges. To do that, go to the Personal Challenges Folder and click on "New Topic" at the top right of all the other member threads. Let me know if you need more help!
Camille wrote: "(I promise I don't always think about food-related events!)"I love your food-related ideas, Camille!
Ashley, members get to decide which theme by poll after we take nominations, so feel free to suggest one if you like. Otherwise you can wait and join in the voting.
Now accepting nominations for February's theme! It's possible to re-nominate a theme that didn't win before, especially if there was a lot of interest in that theme in the polls. Nominations are open until Saturday, Jan 14th.
Other users have tagged it as Civil Rights, but you never know... seems like maybe from the description.
Would The Secret Life of Bees work for this? If so, I may try to find the time to take a small detour for it.
I read Snow Like Ashes, Sara Raasch's debut novel. Really liked it. It's a good YA Fantasy if you like Fantasy of the lighter type.

We aren't doing a group read, but there's potential for buddy reads, and we can always bring the group reads back if there's enough demand.
Kjs wrote: "What books are we reading for January? I don't see them listed as they were last year."Hi there! We are doing a theme per month instead of a specific book. January's theme is "New Beginnings," so you can read anything related to that theme.
