Ohhh, I would LOVE to get Amazon gift cards! I never do, sadly.

And just two weeks ago I gave Charles Dickens' Bleak House to my brother.
^_^"
That's excellent! Spread the Dickens love. :)

What about the presents you GAVE? Did anyone give any good books this year? I'm giving books to most of my family members -
For my 14-year-old niece - Dracula/Frankenstein/Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde one-volume collection.
For my 12-year-old niece - Half of the Golden Filly series I loved at that age.
For my 11-year-old niece - Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass in one volume, and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, which was always my Favourite Christmas Book Ever as a kid.
For my 8-year-old niece - The Magic Faraway Tree series, 3 books in one.
For my 4-year-old nephew - Two Thomas the Tank Engine books.
For my 2-year-old nephew - There Were Ten in the Bed, which is utterly adorable.
For my dad - One of the Clive Cussler books, hopefully one he doesn't already have, haha!
For my mom - One of the Scarlet Pimpernel series, which I don't think she knows exists! She loves the first one and reads it over and over.
Also, for my mom's stocking my dad and I got a bunch of P.G. Wodehouse and Georgette Heyer books from the used bookstore to stuff it full with. Two of her favourite authors!
I get just as excited about giving books as I do about receiving them, LOL. What about you?

We're having a white Christmas here, which is kind of rare in this part of Canada, oddly enough. What about everybody else? What's the weather like where you are? Anybody else getting a white Christmas this year?
Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it! :)

We don't meant to put anybody else to shame, Geoff! As long as everyone feels inspired to fit as much reading into our schedules as we can, this group is doing its job. :)

I just tend to push myself each year to read more than the year before, but I guess I've reached my limit!

Me, I'm frantically trying to read the FOURTEEN BOOKS I still have to complete to meet my 2013 reading goal (EEK!), while also trying to deal with the busyness of the Christmas season. SO MUCH TO DO!

We do have a fun group assembled here, don't we? I'm so excited for sharing my 2014 reading with everyone. :)

I've been wanting to read Bonhoeffer for years. Maybe this year I'll follow your example and finally get around to it. And Chuck Colson! Love him. :)

I plan to read some Proust this year, too, so maybe we can encourage each other as we go. :)
