Yeah, we don't get quite as many responses as we did in the beginning. But hey, that just makes it more of a challenge! :)

Aw, that's too bad! We had a doozy of a storm here yesterday, but other than that it's been pretty nice.

Yes, it's an odd lull, isn't it? I hope it's because people are enjoying the great outdoors and are away from their computers. :)

Movie adaptations - this is a sore subject for most book lovers. What movie adaptations of books that you've read have angered or frustrated you?

I just read Vanity Fair, then watched the recent movie adaptation starring Reese Witherspoon. I was horrified - they missed the point of the book entirely! That kind of thing happens so often. Such a shame.

I'm going to nominate We, by Yevgeny Zamyatin.

The Genre of the Month for July is Utopian/Dystopian. Basically, if a book is set in the future and has either an oddly grim view or an oddly optimistic view of where we're heading, it counts for this month's genre.
