118012 I put my name in on a bunch of beachy audiobooks at the library and of course they all just came in at once. I'm going to need more ears.

118012 I'm thinking about Plum Island. I don't think I've read anything by Nelson DeMille before but he seems quite popular.

118012 This challenge will run between very specific dates: July 3-August 11. Considered a period of the hottest summer temperatures. There are some interesting historical details which can be read via the address below...

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dog_Days

This is a one book challenge. Read a book with the hottest title you can find. ;-)
Anything related to heat will do.

For example:

Heat Wave
Catching Fire
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
The Girl Who Played with Fire
Burning Bright
Daughter of Smoke & Bone
Love in the Time of Global Warming
Don't Sweat the Small Stuff ... and it's all small stuff: Simple Ways to Keep the Little Things from Taking Over Your Life

Or my favorite...

Hot Diggity Dog: the History of the Hot Dog

118012 Mission: During July, read one book about the American Revolution. History or Historical Fiction. But first enjoy the fireworks if you happen to be in the states on July 4.

118012 This is a four book maxi-challenge. To complete the challenge you must read 4 books related to the the four compass points: North. South. East. West. You can do this by choosing books with those words in the title or in the author's name. This challenge will run from July until December 31st.

For example:
North: Northanger Abbey
East: The Witches of Eastwick
South: North and South
West: West with the Night
Black Lamb and Grey Falcon by Rebecca West

118012 July 14 is Bastile Day! (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basti...) So let's celebrate with a mini-challenge... And maybe a buttery croissant. Or champagne. Your choice. ;-)

Mission: Read one book in July that celebrates the French. You could go with a French author. French history. French food. French artists. Be creative!

118012 Mission: Read one book in July that is somehow related to Canada. Canadian setting. Canadian author. About Canada geese. Or a Canadian born actor. You get the idea.

Learn a little about Canadian History...

118012 Good for you, Cindy!
118012 Persuasion is my favorite Austen, too, Sonia! Followed closely by Pride and Prejudice. :)

I'll definitely look into Aria. I've been manga free for months now. It's time for something new.
