Amy wrote: "Finished The Maid and counted toward a Highly Anticipated Book. As I mentioned above, I don't know exactly why it was highly anticipated (versus ALL the other books that are release..."I almost always question why something is the most highly anticipated. Most often I find the ones that get little to no hype were better. The big publishing machine at work.

Great month of reading and it looks like your June reads will also be good reads.

I am sad to hear about your cat and your home. Losing companion animals is tough. Some do not understand it is like losing a child. Mother Nature can be so destructive and landlords sometimes make things worse before better. Hoping this are cleaned up before your trip. I hope your June is better and you have a happy and safe trip.
Lillie wrote: "Book #87
What a fantastical book! Though the themes were very serious, it didn't ..."I really enjoyed reading this but I definitely need to listen to the audiobook.
Desley (Cat fosterer) wrote: "Yeah, do they not know we have challenges? :)"Right! And someone told the good reads librarians the current book I am reading is 829 pages 😍, then I start reading and it’s only 479. I would have read it anyway but don’t get a girl’s hopes up that she can check off another task. 😢
Desley (Cat fosterer) wrote: "I can only think how to catch up on my 12+4, never mind next year!!"Me too! I’m just scratching my head thinking why did I pick these books…. Late spring hits and my interest wanes….😏
Lillie wrote: "You two are terrible!! Now I’m starting to think about next year’s list 😂"Nooooooo Lillie, resist the dark side…😈🤣
Desley (Cat fosterer) wrote: "Good job I only went for 5, or I'd have been behind. Annoyingly the one I've just read was 498 pages!"I hate when that happens! Couldn’t the author add some more descriptions or filler for a few more pages! 🤣
Bill wrote: "My review of The Daughters of Yalta: The Churchills, Roosevelts, and Harrimans: A Story of Love and War by Catherine Grace Katz 4.0 stars."Great review Bill. Sounds like an interesting perspective of the war. Going on my TBR.

The library finally told me today I can finally pick up a copy. I had no idea this was so popular because every library in my county has at least one copy and it took almost 8 weeks for my hold.
Jennifer wrote: "Beth, I'm picking
and [bookcover:Sins..."They are fantastic picks, thank you Jennifer.
Martha wrote: "In for one, please.
https://www.goodreads.com/review/list......"Martha since June is traditionally considered bridal month and the second season of the original series came out recently my pick for you is:
.
I hope you enjoy the read and have a wonderful June!

I am always game for a good romance. I put it on hold @ the library but is currently checked out. It might not become available till the second week of June depending on when it was checked out (we have a 3 wk return policy).

Finished
The Master and Margarita and loved this. Finally a Russian classic that made me laugh instead of cry!
Desley (Cat fosterer) wrote: "3 books read so far this month, and 70% into a fourth, I have bought 3 today though!! I didn't enjoy A Morbid Taste for Bones all that much and wasn't sure about ..."At least it wasn’t read 3 buy 5! I like the idea of picking from the tub. I need to try that. Glad your liking
The Color Purple. I saw the movie years ago and like it but never read the book.

I really enjoyed
The House in the Cerulean Sea and
Possession is on my TBR. And my TBR just increased by 5 books so I can not wait for your reviews, lol. You my friend are a literary enabler and I thank you for that! 💖📚💖

Hoping to start this in the next two days, glad to hear everyone is liking it. I’ve had toe paper back collecting dust for years so I am happy to have incentive to sit down and read. Thank you to who ever picked this!

Congratulations Karol🎉📚🎉 Happy to see you also enjoyed the books you selected.
