Lance I always love picking out books for you. Not a big sports fan but your lists always have books that make me ask myself why am I not reading more books about sports. Hard to select for you this month since the all seem interesting but I picked the following…. Hope they are good reads….

We Are the Troopers The Women of the Winningest Team in Pro Football History by Stephen Guinan The Hot Seat A Year of Outrage, Pride, and Occasional Games of College Football by Ben Mathis-Lilley This Is Our City Four Teams, Twelve Championships, and How Boston Became the Most Dominant Sports City in the World by Tony Massarotti Comeback Pitchers The Remarkable Careers of Howard Ehmke and Jack Quinn by Lyle Spatz

1176148 You are doing fantastic Jim. Love this idea. A great way to motivate someone to read modern classics. I read The Master and Margarita about a month ago. I had put it on my TBR a few years ago coincidentally because it was published the year of my birth! Happy Reading!

Ummmmmmm…. Let’s just say the author squandered her potential and either/ and / or the author, publisher, PR team misled this as a “hate” to “love” story .
1176148 Anyone else finish?

1176148 Good plan for August. I was chugging along and then slowed down but hoping I do not have to set aside a full month…. As I visualize Thanksgiving and Christmas power reading…🙄

I just love his books! Always something humorous.

1176148 You are doing great Wayne! I have tried to add more NF the last two years but I am not doing so well. Think I will add Homage to my list, but you have a few that look interesting.

Best wishes on the the rest of your challenge!

Nice review. I have been skeptical to read this. Do you plan to read more by him?

1176148 Finished my first pick Sins of a Wicked Duke (The Penwich School for Virtuous Girls #1) by Sophie Jordan a spicy historical romance. Colleen Hoover is up next. With all the reading I do I have never read one of her books. Now I see her books everywhere!
