1176148 Finished my first pick Sins of a Wicked Duke (The Penwich School for Virtuous Girls #1) by Sophie Jordan a spicy historical romance. Colleen Hoover is up next. With all the reading I do I have never read one of her books. Now I see her books everywhere!

1176148 You are doing great Joy📚💖📚 It looks like it’s been some great reads. I need to get my copy of Independent People out of storage and finally read it.

1176148 Welcome back, you are doing great on this challenge. I loved his other book, My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry, but I never got past the first chapter of Anxious People. I have been afraid to try A Man Called Ove because everyone seems to love that one also.

Best wishes on the rest of your challenge.

Now that essays are on my radar I find myself checking more out to see if I want to read them. I have found that collections of short (25 pg. or less each) stories is less to my liking. I have only found one so far that kept me invested in each story.

🤣😂🤣 lmao…. Hate when that happens! Didn’t the author know if you are that close you need to add some more dialogue or descriptions to reach at least a count of 501 because we have goals!

Happy to hear the landlord solved the issue. You have a great mix of reading for June. I just started rereading the Owen Archer series a few months ago. Have book 3 slated for July or August and hope to read them all by new year. Think I have only read the first 4-5 so there will be some new mysteries. Have you read the entire series?

I have not read that yet but I really enjoyed My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry and it’s sequel . Looking forward to your review.

1176148 You have a great variety on your reading list. I also loved The Book of Tea. Happiness is the Wrong Metric: A Liberal Communitarian Response to Populism sounds very interesting.

I am late to the party on this series but starting it this month. Great to know the later books are also great reads.

Have a happy June!

1176148 Sounds like a great May. I have to add The Walk series to my TBR. Several people I know rave about the series.

Hope June is filled with more good books!

Sounds like you had a wonderful trip! I have always wanted to go to Croatia, on my bucket list.

Hope you have a great June.

1176148 What a great reading month. Added Crying in H Mart to my TBR. I have to agree about The Bell Jar in my 20’s it was good, late 40’s reread didn’t hit the same.

Hope you have a wonderful June!

1176148 This book has been out for a year but it must be considered a good summer read because over 50 physical copies are checked out of our library system and I am on the hold list for a digital copy. It was understandable that our buddy read was back logged since it’s only published two weeks ago, but what the H E double hockey sticks is up with this book?

1176148 May Update

Second month in a row I didn’t finish my color challenge. My genre challenge was Literary Fiction/ Classics and I just wasn’t in the mood when I tried to start a few. I did finally read The Master and Margarita and loved it!

I caught up on a few series and finished a 12 volume box set so it was still a great month of reading. Think I am going to move my LitFic/Classics next year to February or March and see if I can keep on track.

I also managed to hit 50 books read in my Cleaning out My TBR challenge. That was my goal for 2022 (all books were on my TBR at least a year). This is the first year I actually hit my goal so I am going to raise the number. As of May 31 I have read a total of 100 books, 9 were boxed sets! In this respect insomnia rocks📚

Number books read for May= 21 (1 box set), 9 new authors!

Total number of pages read is 9,313🤯

June is my Non Fiction month. I have a pile to select from so just going to start a book and if I don’t like it within a chapter move on. I did just get a book of essays I won from a GR giveaway last month so definitely reading that. I also have a ton of romance books this month so it will hopefully be a nice balance. Plus I need a break from YA fantasy/ SciFi since I have been sucked into 5 series I had not planned to read this year.

1176148 It just released May 22nd so maybe the library was late in processing. Delaware is a small state but the bigger branches usually have multiple hard copies of new books if there is big demand prior to release. I have never had to wait for a digital (Hoopla) copy before so I am leaning towards late in uploading into the system.
1176148 Glad to see so many great reviews for Crows. I have had the duo set for ages and need to read it. Hope you enjoy Divergent. I read it years ago, the whole series in about a week. I remember liking it and passing the books on to a neighbor to read. Unfortunately I can no longer remember why I liked it, but I remember they were fast reads. Hopefully your review will jog my memory.
