How to Stand Up to a Dictator is another one I want to read. I've lived unde..."
Democracy needs to flourish and it can't just be accepted as a given. I've never been to Romania. I hope it's improved now that Ceausecu is gone... It must have been so difficult.
I don't know that Ressa has a solution, maybe more of a warning but I'm only half way through.

Add it, Add it, Add it..... :) Enjoy your June reading as well, Lea

Since my mid-month update I've completed 5 more books, for a total of 13 in May.
1. Searoad by Ursula K. Le Guin, the 9th book in my 12 + 4 challenge. It was excellent, a collection of short stories set in the fictional town of Klatsand in Oregon. 5.0 stars (one of 2 5-star books I enjoyed the end of May
2. The Death Miser by John Creasey I focused on the mysteries / thrillers of John Creasey in May and this was the 2nd book. It's the first in the Dept Z thriller series. It was ok, an entertaining thriller but not one of my favorites (2.5 stars)
3. Inspector West Takes Charge by John Creasey My 2nd Creasey book, the 1st in the Inspector West police procedural series. most enjoyable. Good characters, good story. Looking forward to reading the next (4.5 stars)
4. Meet The Baron by Anthony Morton aka John Creasey. The first story in the Baron series. The Baron is a 'cracksman', a cat burglar, a safe cracker. Not perfect but still entertaining (3.0 stars)
5. To Walk in the Way of Lions by H. Leighton Dickson The 2nd book in a fantasy series 'peopled' with lions, tigers, bears, dogs, leopards, etc. The more I got into the story, the more I loved it. Even a few tears shed. My 2nd 5.0 star rating.
