Oh that still breaks my heart!"The situation with Elder Griffin constantly breaks my heart! You know Carolin is reading that right now, and when she mentioned the wedding, it was like the wound was brand new. Stop hurting us, Stacia. But also, don't stop because I like it.

Oh I love a good heartbreak. One that leaves me in pieces...curled up in the fetal position and unable to function. I delight in the pain and beg for more.

In regards to le alpha male. I think there is a big difference between an alpha male and a chauvinistic, controlling prick. Barrons personifies alpha male. Barrons is hot. Controlling prick is never hot. Controlling prick needs to be put down. Once and for all. Stop crossing that line, authors.

Alright so. I finished this one over the weekend, and I am happy to say it is one of my favorites in the series.
Frost Burned was a little difficult for me to finish, so I wasn't as excited about reading
Night Broken as I might have been. I loved meeting Gary Laughingdog and seeing Honey sticking up for Mercy when no one else would. The Christy factor was absolutely infuriating, especially seeing the other wolves falling all over themselves to help her when Mercy is Adam's mate. What happened to pack, guys?
(view spoiler)[ Mercy's little rant about how Christy shouldn't have slept with a guy she just met if she didn't want a psycho stalker and if she would have gotten to know him this might have never happened hit a nerve for me. For the most part, I was able to move on past the slut shaming. (hide spoiler)] Am I the only one that thinks that it is about time for this series to end? I love Mercy, but I don't want to see it drawn out to the point where the books are still coming out and I've stopped reading them. Thoughts?

I think just go for it! I just bought it! I'm ready :)

Just bought it!

Kyrstan should probably join us too...I see it's on her TBR. Hashtag I'm always creepin'.

Yay -- let's do it!

I think this needs to be the next thing I read. I'm dying for a new series to obsess over.

Happy 'Night Broken' release day! Who's reading it and when? I just got mine, gotta finish 'Frost Burned' tonight and then I should be able to start it tomorrow :)

I wasn't either! I was surprised to find myself addicted to this series. But it is very addicting. I am so happy you are enjoying it, too :)

In UF? I haven't heard of or come across any. It seems like the only novels with gay MCs are romance novels.

Yeah, I also just assumed that she would be changed by love or something, like all of the other authors do to their flawed characters. I love Chess how she is and I'm so glad that Stacia didn't go that route.

YES I agree completely. And she doesn't make it about their virginity or make losing it a big deal. Virginity isn't something that the characters are attached to.

I know! I feel like I have taken a proper break from vampires though...which is hard to do in the UF genre.

Only 9 days until this one comes out! Who is going to be reading it? :)

"Scarlett Bernard knows about personal space: step within ten feet of her, and any supernatural spells or demonic forces are instantly defused—vampires and werewolves become human again, and witches can’t get out so much as a “hocus pocus.” This special skill makes her a null and very valuable to Los Angeles’s three most powerful magical communities, who utilize her ability to scrub crime scenes clean of all traces of the paranormal to keep humanity, and the LAPD, in the dark.
But one night Scarlett’s late arrival to a grisly murder scene reveals her agenda and ends with LAPD’s Jesse Cruz tracking her down to strike a deal: he’ll keep quiet about the undead underworld if she helps solve the case. Their pact doesn’t sit well with Dash, the city’s chief bloodsucker, who fears his whole vampire empire is at stake. And when clues start to point to Scarlett, it’ll take more than her unique powers to catch the real killer and clear her name."

"The first in an all-new urban fantasy series by USA Today bestseller Jaye Wells.
The last thing patrol cop Kate Prospero expected to find on her nightly rounds was a werewolf covered in the blood of his latest victim. But then, she also didn't expect that shooting him would land her in the crosshairs of a Magic Enforcement Agency task force, who wants to know why she killed their lead snitch.
The more Prospero learns about the dangerous new potion the MEA is investigating, the more she's convinced that earning a spot on their task force is the career break she's been wanting. But getting the assignment proves much easier than solving the case. Especially once the investigation reveals their lead suspect is the man she walked away from ten years earlier—on the same day she swore she'd never use dirty magic again.
Kate Prospero's about to learn the hard way that crossing a wizard will always get you burned, and that when it comes to magic, you should be never say never."

I feel like I need to catch up with you guys on this series...but also that I need to commit to reading the books I own and haven't read yet this month.
Like I said, I'm an addict.

I'm going to start
and
this weekend. So...hopefully I will be reading something really good :)
