The Atlas of Hell ★★★★☆ A gangster makes a bookbinder with experience in dark magic go after a map of hell in the Bayou. If I had not already read one of Ballingrud’s tales of hell this would have been shockingly weird.

Mrs. Sorensen and the Sasquatch by Kelly Barnhill ★★★☆☆ A widow with an affinity for animals falls back in love with a Sasquatch. Yes, you read that right, and the community mostly accepts this because they like her and she is one of their own. But this story was too long for one without a twist.

These Deathless Bones by Cassandra Khaw ★★★★★ Prince Joffrey’s witchy step-mother has officially given her last fuck. It was hard to read, even briefly, about this waste of space prince, but it made watching his bones crawl all the more satisfying.

It was. I finally got my Vampires tab sorted so I put up my Subtle Agency review. I’m still fixing the thing up, but at least it’s functional. It would probably take me a year to transfer everything, so I’m starting with the good stuff and by next week I’ll put in a few of the one stars. I keep hearing about reviews being erased, it’s good to have a back up.

Daughter of Necessity by Marie Brennan ★★★☆☆The final days of the Odyssey as told through Penelope’s perspective. Nothing that changes the story.

The Witch of Duva by Leigh Bardugo ★★★★★ Bardugo has given the evil stepmother fairytale a brutal twist! Nadya is forced from her home by her father’s new wife, Karina. Nadya finds refuge with an witch in the woods. After a long winter of peace, and good food, she is healthy enough to return to her village and see her old life with new eyes.
I’m sure I had fun watching those bond movies but I tried to remember the plots - nothing. I didn’t even know that I had see the last one - I had. But I can quote Casino Royal and watch it every other year or so: “I’m the money.”

But it does not apply to everyone: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
When I create images for reviews I have to upload them to a hosting site to link them to my review. I can still, sometimes, grab random images on some websites and make them work but that’s not helpful. I will not be reviewing anymore, just stating what I’ve read and moving on.
I think there is also a chance I’m being single out as revenge for a popular link I started last March before it was controversial: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
GR is trying to ban images on the site. Fewer and fewer users still have the capability and GR is asking us to rat on each other. If you guys could use the Contact: https://www.goodreads.com/about/conta...to register a protest that would be cool. Right now I can’t post images at all. So no more reviews from me. Pray they back down on this.
Saw the new Bond, hated it. There were a thousand violins at the end but no one in my theater cried. You could hear the “WTF?”
That sounds like The Vela, The Mighty Slinger by Karen Lord and Tobias S. Buckle, and The Message (1995) from The Outer Limits - but not one work, no.
