Don’t worry Glass you’re not the only one to enjoy Everybody’s gone to the rapture. It was a well done game. Firewatch is the other must play walking sim.

I’ll probably subscribe to the tier with included PS5 games when I eventually get a PS5 but only on an ad-hoc basis while there is a game I want to play. Can’t see me subscribing to both games pass and PlayStation plus each and every month. I have games pass to the end of 2024. After then I’ll probably dip in and out on both ps plus and games pass to save money.

Yea at somepoint by the end of 2023 I will probably get myself a PS5. It does ramp-up the 'backlog anxiety syndrome' being dual-console :-). Never going to stretch it to a Switch as well - although the Switch has never really appealed to me. Thing is by the end of 2023 a lot more of MS's developers will be churning out more games (once they've caught up) than they do now so it will only get worse for me and going dual-console taboot. At the moment though for me the backlog is actually quite small.

I don't think I'm burnt out. Sometimes I don't feel the enthusiam to start a new game but it will pass. Always does :-). I am thinking of starting Alan Wake DLC remastered campaigns or Metro Exodus Sam's Story this weekend but I'm in no hurry - see how I feel.

Yea me too. Lost a lot of ethusiasm for gaming recently. Had a weekend off gaming - except a quick stint of multiplayer - so not started anything new since completing the main campaign of Alan Wake Remaster. I'm thinking my next game will be Sniper Elite 5 probably - end of May.

Morning all. Not started anything new of note. Played some BF2042 and albeit it's less buggy than it was the game design is compromised so played a bit of that but I really can't grow to love it like I did all previous BF games. I did start Peggle 2 - such a good chillout game and I even played it on my tablet with cloud gaming. It's like a mobile game anyway. I'm not one for cloud gaming really - not why I signed up to games pass. I did think about starting the Metro Exodus or Alan Wake DLC but I seem to have lost my gaming mojo of late.

Yea that difficulty slider in Control made the game a lot more enjoyable for me. More games should adopt it. Gamers should have more choice on difficulty and this allows that choice perfectly. A game can still have it's default settings but more choice for those that want it doesn't break a hard game if a hard game was the devs original intent. I'd probably play From Soft games then :-).

I liked Exodus as much as the earlier games. Nice to return to it. I’ll probably play the first two again one day too now I have the enhanced versions on the Series X.

Hi all. Not much gaming from me except for completeing the Metro Exodus Two Colonels DLC. Which was pretty good - all underground and mostly with the use of a flamethrower. Only a couple of hours long. Next I'm going to play the Sam's Story DLC which looks a lot more meaty at 5 hours of game play and from what I can tell mostly on the surface - looks really good.

Morning all. Not gamed much recently but I did finally finish Alan Wake Remastered. It's amazing how little I remember of a lot of this game, although I did last play it like 12 years ago or something. Anyway, I absolutely loved it. For me a classic and verging on a masterpiece. I'd completely forgotten the ending, in fact my memory of the ending is a false one lol - must be of something else, or the DLC. So I have the two DLC stories to do - but will take a break from AW for now. So I think next is the Metro Exodus DLC expansion. And then Sniper Elite 5 later in May. Can't wait. Glad you're all enjoying Elden Ring so much but defo not for me.

I think both games will be 60fps on Series X even though they are old 360 games - not 100% sure on this.

Well I hawed the Metro saga bundle for £12.49. I was just going to buy the DLC stories (which I haven't played, and include 7 hours of extra story) for £11.99 but for the sake of 50p why not get Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light that run at 120FPS on Series X - then I can play them again. I've already bought Exodus previously but still a good deal for everything else.

Metro Exodus on its own is only £6.24 if you don't want the other games.

Massive bargain for anyone with an xbox. At least in the UK but hopefully something similair in the EU and US. Metro Saga Bundle £12.49 - that includes Metro 2033, Metro Last Light, Metro Exodus (with all series X improvements) and two story DLCs (The two colonels and Sam's Story). Very tempted myself even though I've played all of them before mainly on PS3/4 (except exodus which I played on xbox). I've not played the DLC however.

Morning all. Still playing Alan Wake Remastered and absolutely loving it. Just completed chapter 4. Really don't regret replaying one of my favourite games of all time after first playing it over 10 years ago. Really has held up very well - ok with a bit of polish in the remastered version but that's all it is.

Sorry glass I’m not a big user of headsets nowadays. I just use, and not very often, my Xbox stereo headset from my Xbox one. There is an MS official stereo headset that plugs into the controller. Not exactly wireless. Otherwise I know nada about headsets.

Personally I'd say wait on getting a new TV. If your TV does 4k and HDR that's more than good enough - that's assuming your TV does HDR and 4k well. 120Hz only really comes into play in multiplayer on the whole - you do notice the difference, it defintely looks and feels smoother, and more responsive. However, the graphical resolution takes a big hit even on Series X - which has turned it into a non-starter for me. Perhaps by Series Y/PS6 when 4k 120Hz is the standard it might be more to my tastes.
The only thing I regret is not going OLED (other than buying my current Sony TV which is an absolute joke) which is more expensive but definitely better than LCD/LED assuming you're not in a very bright room. OLED burn-in albeit still a possibility is less of an issue nowadays - assuming you watch varied content and not the same TV channel with the same positioned logo every day.

I'd guess it's your Pro - like I say mine very occasionally does it too.

Saying that if you've tried everything sounds like you won't be able to fix it. BTW - I also have occasional blank screens when connecting my TV to my Pro - infrequent but they do happen. I think it could be a Pro issue.
