It's like it has next to no auto-aim - even though it's enabled in the settings. I just tried a different controller - no difference.

I think close range you don't notice it so much but medium to longer distance and it really is shockingly bad. The only thing I can try is changing my controller but my controller seems fine with every other FPS but maybe worth a try.

Morning all. Played some more Cyberpunk. I'm probably two thirds of the way through the campaign. It's a really good game, very detailed with dialogue, mission structure and the world itself. Only real complaint is the shooting mechanics - they are truly awful, really spoils the game. I've tried tweaking them in the settings, following recommendations I've seen online and they're still bad. And I see it's a common complaint of the game. If it had good shooting mechanics it would defo be a 9/10 game but with the way it is can't be - it's fundamental to the experience for me.
Also bought some cheaper games pass ultimate vouchers online (with CD Keys) which saved about £35 on the usual price - saves me mining for MS points every day. I mean MS points are good - I was getting a free month of Ultimate for around one month of effort acquiring MS Points - but it does save 10 minutes of my time a day. So now have over 2 years of Ultimate.

I need to stop all forms of external infomation news or social. Some of my facebook friends near to military airfields in the UK say they has seen an increase in B52 bomber activity (fly overs). Perhaps they're looking for something where nothing has changed, and perhaps it's normal, but on the other hand could be a precaution. Anyway. I need to shut up and leave this forum to games. The only thing I have kept up with is MS points collection - at least that's something :-).

I actually stopped playing. :-) Saying that I have been watching far too much news - I need to stop this - and the missus was away last weekend and this is usually a good reason to game a lot but somehow I managed instead to occupy my time with sport/news/movies.

Yes completely agree Decky. This weekend I plan to escape reality in Night City.

Glass I’m the same. Not gamed in almost two weeks for the same reason. It is absolutely horrific. Really saddens me. I’ve actually shed some tears a couple of times watching the news with Ukrainian’s telling their stories and with their bravery. They ultimately stand little chance but I hope the Russian soldiers see sense and refuse to fight or the Russian people protest in their millions - both however extremely unlikely.

I watched some reviews and game play last night. Elden Ring does look amazing. If I wasn’t the type of person that wants to throw a controller out a window when frustrated with a game then I’d definitely be playing it. 😀

Yea same here too. I look at game play videos of Horizon Forbidden West and it looks graphically amazing. However, it looks mostly the same as the first and I really got tired of the game play after around 2/3rds of the way through the campaign. I found it monotonous. I think this is more a personal taste thing than it being bad or something. And I agree with Glass the world felt superficial - looked great, but not very engaging. It's a good game but it sits in the very good category for me, not the amazing category. Credit to Guerrilla Games they have poured a lot of love into it.

Otherwise this gen for next gen games hasn't really kicked off yet IMO. Games defo look better on Series X but for me my Series X is like a XBox One X with largely the same graphics fidelity but at 60 FPS rather than 30 FPS and much faster load times. If you didn't go mid gen upgrade last gen then yea definitely a big upgrade to Series X/PS5 from XBox 1/PS4. Once games target next gen only is when they'll truly start to look a lot better hopefully. So I don't think you're missing out too much. Funny how I really find 30 FPS games absolutely horrible now - can't stomach them. Like a flicker fest.

Morning all. Had a good stint over the weekend on Cyberpunk, around 10 hours in. Finally Keanu has arrived and he's been great so far and seems like a major ongoing character. I realised I was mainlining the campaign so it felt a bit linear so I took time out from the campaign and did some side quests so I could get a better feel of immersion and the open world. It's no doubt a very detailed and dense world (in terms of buildings and objects etc). It's not really grabbed me at the mo in the open world sense. I've started a side mission to retrieve cars (which ramped up in difficulty, so I've sidelined until it until I level up) and taking out some bosses scattered around the map. Not bad for side missions. The story though has been excellent. The graphics are amazing on the whole especially indoors but sometimes driving around objects in the distance (cars, buildings) look very soft. Overall though a cracking game. Only a couple of graphical glitchy bugs for me otherwise pretty solid. Only real complaint is lack of cash and sometimes enemy are bullet sponges even on moderate level missions. I can go into a mission with 600-700 ammo and then struggle for ammo later on in the mission - and it won't let me craft ammo mid mission and although there are ammo containers dotted around in a mission there still isn't enough (even after looting dead enemy).

Thanks Deck. I started Cyberpunk. Played over 3 hours. Chose nomad but was soon in Night City. It’s pretty good. Good looking world. Combat is decent, not the best, but pretty good. All a bit confusing at the moment with upgrades etc but enjoying it. Only thing I haven’t liked is something called a Brainstorm. I hope there isn’t many of those. So I think I’m probably going to pull the buy trigger (only playing the trial at the moment). It’s a good game, probably knocking on very good but at the same time not blown away really. Nothing that special or even that next gen about it. Another RPG I’ve seen before but good all the same.

Completed ME1. I really enjoyed it, especially the last third of the campaign. Yea it’s a little dated now but it’s such an immersive game.
So I’ve downloaded the trial of Cyberpunk 2077 to give it a go to see if I like it. Any recommendations on character class to use? Generally I like my games action, not so much hacking. Ideally I like to have an option of stealth and combat where if stealth goes wrong I’m still powerful enough to shoot my way through. And where is it best to start as I understand you can have different start points in Cyberpunk?

I'm tempted at the moment to go for Cyberpunk 2077. It's on my wishlist but I've been holding off for the next gen upgrade. It's £24.99 on the xbox store. Simplygames have it for £14.99 but sold out :-(. Not sure I'm in the mood though for another big game at the moment.

Yea I go through gaming funks too from time to time. Think I'm going through one at the moment. Sometimes I move from game to game like it's a job when sometimes I need to take a break and feel a bit more enthusiastic about the next game I play. After I complete ME1 - I'm near the end now - I'm taking a break too and I'm only going to play multiplayer for a few weeks.
