Dwynwen was shocked, scared, impressed, and confused. This maid was an extremely skilled elemental... she was raging mad... and she was going to the...queen? The realization hit her like a boulder. It had all happened so fast, and it didn’t make any sense. “Please, miss! I didn’t mean any harm! What did I do wrong?” She pleaded, her knees still on the ground and the frozen flower still in her hand. The vase had shattered with the maid’s blow.
“Oh, I can take care of this...” Dwynwen said, looking around. It was a disaster, half of it of which she didn’t know how to fix. She looked back up at the maid who was wearing a forced smile. “I suppose I could use some help.” She felt guilty saying it, but it was the maid’s job.
Anyone on? My character is sort of in the middle of a scene, but it’s been several days so I’m sure it’ll be fine
Dwynwen was both dismayed and strangely relieved that the maid had seen through her lie. “Forgive me for lying miss, I’d hate to do any discredit to my name,” she said in a proper tone. “My friend and I were having a little fun, and it was horribly improper. Please pardon us.” Dwynwen truly didn’t regret any of what she did with the prince, but in order to uphold her and Evermony’s reputation, she needed to at least act like she felt guilty. She resorted to calling Evermony a “friend” in order to prevent him from getting into any kind of trouble. She didn’t know the half of what the queen would do if she found out.
Dwynwen didn’t know what to do, she certainly hadn’t planned for this type of reaction. “Oh, no no, I’m quite alright. Nothing but a mere cold,” Dwynwen looked around, there was water and ice everywhere, the bed frame bent from Evermony’s wind, and everything was blown around. She sat in the middle of the room holding a frozen flower, in the most unladylike manner. It was impossible to believe, and there was clear sign that an air elemental had been there too, but she couldn’t tell the truth, could she? What would become of her if the maids knew that she lied?
