You're very welcome, Kathleen! I've been meaning to read some of Le Guin's non-fiction for a while now. I'm definitely enjoying it:)

Irena's Children sounds like an interesting book, Chrissie. I like that she made that comment that she was one of many who helped save children.

That would be wonderful! He's definitely an intriguing character

Hi Beth, that looks really good! I may add it to my list:)

Thanks so much, Pink! Life is short, you did give it a go:) I still haven't listened to an audiobook yet.
110440 I've been so busy so I haven't been updating my reading progress here. I'm still enjoying Women Who Run With Wolves and I'm finding it to be very insightful; it's definitely meeting me where I am in life at the moment. I can understand why some people might not gel with the content as I tried reading it a decade ago and rolled my eyes. I like how Clarissa Pinkola Estes uses fairytales and myths to describe psychological archetypes and the subconscious. Because I've read some Jungian psychology it all makes sense to me. It's been a slow read because there's so much to think about and so I don't want to read it too quickly.

I haven't read that one yet, Leslie, but I know a friend of mine loves it. Hope it gets better for you!

That's understandable! Books like that are tough to read. Good luck!

Good luck, Leslie! Just curious about what you dislike about it. I haven't read it yet but it's on my tentative list.
110440 Thanks, Kathleen! That link works for me. Also, that Joseph Campbell book is on my to-read list, hope you enjoy it when you get round to it:)

Aww, I understand your frustration, Pink! I actually lucked out and found the book at a thrift store last week. I have also seen some PDFs floating around the internet so that might be another option?
110440 Monica wrote: "Oh, that's a good one, Rowena. I'd be interested in your opinion once you've delved deeper into/finished the book."

I'll definitely keep you posted, Monica! So far I've been thinking about just how appropriate this book is, especially now that more women are discussing sexual harassment and assault.

I've been meaning to read a second Endo novel:)
110440 I decided to start with Women Who Run With the Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype. I've only read the introduction so far but I'm already impressed. I feel like I'm reading this at the right time in my life.
