Haha Angela, no worries. It's only rarely that I read a book I dislike; I can almost always tell in advance, and I like a very wide range of sorts of books. You haven't let me down yet. :)

Good to know Angela! It was actually your review that originally convinced me to give it a try. :)

Glad you enjoyed it Jen - I'm thinking of reading it myself.

That's good though Joan - it means if I get the Audible version, I'll be listening to the one you liked so much. :) I know where one of my Audible credits is going if my library system doesn't have it!

Where did you get the audiobook Joan? I see Audible has the Armitage translation, but it's narrated by someone else.

I've heard that boars are unusually agressive Joan. Like hippos, they won't necessarily avoid people.

Chrissie, I imagine it takes some courage to hunt them with bows and arrows!!

Haha, enjoy Ruth! The little pleasures are important!

Oh what a stunning cat!!!!!! I love the pumpkins. Do you roast and salt the seeds?"

Thanks Chrissie! :)

We have roasted and salted the seeds before - very tasty when salted right! But nowadays I am just too busy sadly. I keep hoping this work project will settle down soon!

Thank you, Greg--good to hear, especially since I've been nervous about Borges!"

Borges is very strange, but I found some of the stories fascinating. The book I read was Labyrinths: Selected Stories and Other Writings; I think I read Ficciones a while ago too, but I'm not sure.

Labyrinths was very mindbendy, to use a non-technical term. :) I have a vivid memory of a couple of the stories even now, a few years later. I won't say more so as not to spoil anything. Some of the stories could be common between the two books, just in possibly different translations.

I related to the character too Kathleen, quite strongly.

And all three of your books for November are fantastic. Borges is such fun!

How scary Chrissie - I have heard boars are very agressive, but I've luckily never encountered one. I see coyotes and possums often, but those tend to steer clear as long as you leave them alone. Nothing like charging boars!!
