Wow! and I can't believe you typed them all! Hope you're finger's have recovered :)

It was ok, I didn't hate it but didn't love it either and I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone - no idea what won it the Pulitzer.

I might join you with this as love Dicken's but haven't read many! Is this first instalment a month?

I'm jealous him and his dad went out drinking on a school night - I'd never get up for work the next morning ;)

No, I haven't but I would love to! I bet it's great fun. I still haven't been to the Dracula Museum either so will have to make a bit of an effort to go next time I'm off work (got no excuse now I'm driving!)

How about a bit of Edgar Allen Poe - A Dream Within A Dream?

That is very soothing - I like the idea of being a cat curled up on the hearth of the world.

Aww bless you - yes make sure you have time to read still!

Started this last night - it is like a dream isn't it? Like how things suddenly change from one place to another. I'm a little confused but still interested - I want to see where he is going with this.

If you go to:
http://www.poemhunter.com/then you can search for the poem you want and then just cut and paste it - to save typing :)

That sounds lovely Hilary - it's gorgeous up where you are (I'm a little south in Co. Durham), Whitby is also very cool - Lee your comment reminded me how long it's been since I've been there!

Nice one - I have about 3 conflicting theories so please let me know what you think!

Yes I have only seen the Harry Potter and the Woman in Black film - will have to look up the ITV one now! It was ok but didn't really do it justice, it is such a creepy, atmospheric story.

Read the title story of
Death in Venice today: the writing is brilliant - I would like to read more of his stuff in the future; I'm not sure what I think of the story -It is certainly one that gets you thinking but I keep changing my conclusions!

I love Gothic-type horror and ghost-stories, haven't read any MR James for years so will have to re-read him soon.
The Woman in Black by Susan Hill is the only book that has ever made me gasp out loud with horror at the ending - I was all alone in my flat reading that - bad idea! The film was nowhere near as scary.

Despicable Me was great - am looking forward to the sequel too!
On a completely different note, I watched Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close yesterday which was absolutely lovely but did make me cry.

Being Dickensy can only be a good thing :) I had too many books out already so will have to catch up with this one once I've taken some back but have got 3 months so there's no mad rush.

good intriguing?

ooh that one looks good, I might have to check that out as well!
