Xavier moved his flame a little closer to Fiona. "Don't worry about it." He reassured. Xavier picked up a small, waterproof bag off of the floor and opened it. First, he pulled out a dry blanket and wrapped it around Fiona. Then, he pulled out an assortment of snacks. "We get stuck in here a lot, so we've learned to be prepared." Xavier explained.
Xavier shook his head, trying to get the water out of his hair. He stopped and ran a hand through it, making it stick straight up. Xavier created a flame to dry them off. He took the paddle and rowed to the tunnel that would take them out. But it wasn't there. While they were swimming around, the tide had come in, trapping them. "Oh great!" Xavier muttered. All the exits were blocked. "Looks like we're gonna be stuck here for a few hours." He told Fiona, not looking her in the face.
Xavier was so stunned, he stopped treading water. He sank for a few seconds before he realized that he needed to paddle to swim. He swam over to the canoe and climbed in awkwardly.
Xavier felt his face turn red. He looked down embarrassed. He cleared his throat and looked around. "Well, it looks like Ash isn't here." He said awkwardly.
"Octopus." Xavier groaned. He laughed again and wiped his face with his sleeve. He froze at her touch.
Xavier jumped [[if that's possible in water]] and turned around. He wiped the ink from his eyes so he could see. He laughed. "You got me!"
Xavier spun around but didn't see her. He swam under again. His foot brushed an octopus and it swam away, leaving behind a could of ink. Xavier came up chuckling.
Xavier stayed down and swam down deep. When he came up, he was right behind Fiona. He tapped her on the shoulder and disappeared underwater.
Xavier whirled around and tripped over his own feet, landing in the water with a huge splash! He came up spluttering and laughing.
Xavier laughed as the splash drenched him. The boat rocked violently and he barely managed to keep it upright. He leaned over the edge and looked around for Fiona.
Xavier paddled one last time and they drifted into the cave. It was a large area, filled with bright colors. A small hole in the ceiling let enough light through to see. If you looked down, you could see all the colorful fish and plants. There were starfish everywhere and a sluggish sea turtle swam under them. The cavern walls were made up of a million beautiful colors and the glint of the waves shone on them. "Ok, open them." Xavier whispered.
