Melody placed clouds at the end of the vine paths. Once the ice encased flaming leaf balls landed there, she moved the clouds to place them on another path.
Xavier sent his fire out to intertwine with Fiona’s ice. He knew about the Enhancing, but not the Ability Transferral. “What!s that?!” He shouted over Melody’s thunder.
The flaming leaves encased in ice were falling fast. Ash tried to keep them up, but the leaves were burning and disappearing. All she could do was slow them down. She was laughing. This was totally awesome!
The three friends nodded to each other. They were ready.Ash sent the force field leaf ball flying high into the air. She broke it down into one larger ball surrounded by five smaller ones. The smaller balls orbited around the large one at varying speeds. “Go.” Ash said to Melody. She had her hands up, holding the leaf balls in place.
Melody lifted her hands and a large cloud assembled over head. It was a dark storm cloud. Suddenly, Melody flicked her wrist sharply and six bolts of lightning shot out and exploded the balls. It was like mini fireworks with the leaves flying everywhere. “Yours!” She told Xavier.
Without the slightest thought of hiding his power, Xavier thrust his hands upward. Instantly, every single leaf burst into flames. The sky was full of color as the burning leaves fell. “Fiona! Ice!” Xavier called to her.
Once the leaves were out the window, Ash had an idea. She called them all back and circled them into a ball. Once they were tightly packed, she created a force field around them. “Hey Melody, Xavier. Do you wanna do our thing?”Melody nodded. “Yeah!”
Xavier laughed. “Let’s do it!”
Ash turned to the others. “It’s just a little fun thing we like to do.” She explained.
Xavier waded through the leaves over to Ash and almost tripped. “Uh...Ash? The leaves? Out the door? Please?”“Oops!” Ash giggled. “Yes sir!” She said saluting. She waved her hands again and all the leaves filed out of the open window.
Ash’s face grew red. “No, it’s not that amazing. I think my love for nature helped me manifest a new and unique power, but it’s nothing amazing.”
“Magnate Leto christened it Biokinesis.” Ash explained. “I can communicate, summon, and sometimes control life.” She looked around at all the leaves sheepishly. “So far, only six people know about my power and I’d like to keep that number as low as possible.”
With a nod of encouragement from Melody, Ash began waving her hands in a fluid, yet intricate, series of motions. The leaf flew around the room, swirling, spiraling, spinning. It danced and dances. Ash had her eyes closed and was totally absorbed in her ability. Suddenly, another leaf joined the one. And another. And another. They were sneaking in through the balcony door which was wide open. Quickly, the room was filled with dancing leaves and Ash didn’t even realize it!“Ash! Hey Ash!” Xavier called over the rustling of the leaves. Ash’s eyes snapped open and her control was lost. Immediately, all the leaves floated to the ground. Ash was embarrassed.
“Sorry guys. I must’ve called them without realizing it.” She looked down, seeing that they were all knee deep in leaves.
[[I don’t think Melody knows yet. They never showed her. Woah! Everyone is gonna reveal a power! Well, except for Melody.]]
Ash looked around and found a small leaf that had broken off the vine. She waved her hand and the little leaf flew to her. It was hovering above her hand waiting for her instructions. “Ready?” Ash asked hesitantly.
“I might as well tell you my ability.” Ash said looking at Fiona, and then Serenity, her voice wavered. “I trust that you will not reveal it to anyone?” She said it more as a question than a statement.Xavier stepped toward her. “Ash, you don’t have to-” She cut him off.
“I might as well. They already know so much, what more should I hide?” Ash managed a tight smile.
Melody stepped back. “Do what you think is right.” She said quietly.
Ash glanced at Serenity’s arm and then looked her in the eyes. “I am sorry. Family can hurt more than friends, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” She looked down at her hands, hidden in her black gloves. “There is so much you do not yet know about me.” She sighed. Melody put a comforting arm around her. “There are secrets that are meant to be hidden and others that should be let out.” She shook her head. “I do not know which are mine.
