I tried to read Phantoms by Dean Koontz, but gave up at 40%, because I couldn't take anymore of the pervasive vulgarity.....including religious swears and "F" bombs. At 40% it just became downright FILTHY with crude sexual talk added by a sleazy character aimed towards a 17 year old girl!Disgusts me to think of the filthy minds of authors like Koontz and King making millions off such trash they write, and how they get their jollies while writing such filthy scenes!
So now I'm starting what I hope will be fun, light, and clean~

Yeah the "Celtic myths and Arthurian legends "with a bit of magic, is why I think it sounds so appealing, lol! :D
Christine, thank you so much for sharing how you found our group. That is really interesting...and weird... how it showed up in a search for "Historical Fantasy".I have never heard of that particular genre, but it sounds really interesting. Could you share the titles of some that you have enjoyed, and if any who read this post know of more, could you please post them here?Historical Fantasy~https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Histori...

Hi Christine, WELCOME to the group. :D Looking forward to your joining us in the discussion groups, and I hope you find many suitable titles to read on our Bookshelf on the top right. For even more titles be sure to check my personal bookshelves on my Profile page, by clicking on my avatar~(picture).
Happy Reading,
Chris
After reading book 2 in the Dark Fantasy ~The 11th Percent series, I feel the need for a palate cleansing 'light' read, so now going to try the fun sounding~

My learning curve is going to be diet, what foods are ok, and which are not. I did just join "The Cruise Control Diet" which seems very doable and a fraction of the cost of those like Nutri-System!
Hi Margaret, yes, it has been pretty quiet here lately. I have been binge-watching British shows on Netflix lately. That is why it is taking me so long to finish my books, LOL!I am now reading
.I have also just been diagnosed as of last week as Type-2 Diabetic so doing quite a bit of reading on that.I also do plan to start reading Little Women.
I've had Little Women on my Kindle for some time. Thanks for the reminder. I really need to bump it up to my "read soon"!
I was supposed to be reading "Witch Chocolate Fudge", but after my son picked up my reserves that came into the library, I couldn't resist peeking at "The Marriage Lie", which was un-put-down-able! Unrelenting, intense, suspense! What a great mystery and an eye-opening "you can never really know someone", type of psychological suspense/thriller. Read it, only if you dare! And now back to~
Was disappointed in Wildwood~3-stars. Started 'Dark, Witch, and Creamy' today,
on pg.124.. OMG, enchanting, engaging......I love it!♥♥♥I need to finish making my taco salad, my son just got in from work, but I hate to stop reading, lol!
