[close] Authors and readers can be badly out of touch when it comes to basic book presentation. I have recommended to Amazon that they post a "reader voter button" on authors' book pages where readers could vote on cover design, description, and the overall appeal of the book. I don't plan on seeing my suggestion implemented anytime soon. ;) So as a stop-gap measure, I've created this group. The purpose of the group is to obtain basic feedback from readers (and of course other writers) on three key book page issues: 1) Cover (Does it draw you in or repel you?) 2) Description (Does it pique your interest or leave you yawning?) 3) Story Idea (Interesting or dull?) 4) Comments. My idea is a quick, first-impression rating of the top three qualities. Comments would be optional. This basic feedback will allow authors critical information for improving their presentation (or possibly the book itself!). At this point, our only feedback is from purchased books and reviews. If your book isn't selling, however, you can only guess what the problem might be. I have the feeling that many readers would like to comment on these pages, but are discouraged by the amount of effort involved (hence my recommendation of a voting button). Rules: Please post links to the book(s) you wish to the book pages that you wish reviewed. Please limit yourself to two book links per post. As this group expands, we may end up with dozens if not hundreds of books being posted. It's likely that not every book link will be reviewed.
