message 15: by Maridele (new)

Maridele Am I the only one that doesn't plan what I'm reading ahead of time? I have in my possession about 150 books that I "want to read" along with that many available on library ebook. I read what I'm in the mood for or what would be easiest to handle at the time. When I travel, I load up my kindle. Right now I'm reading some obscure books about the packhorse librarians. After reading The Giver of Stars, I did a deep dive into other books on the subject. After I'm done with the one I'm reading now, I don't know what direction I'll go.

message 16: by Maddie J (new)

Maddie J I'll probably be rereading a ton, and anything on my want to read list. I honestly can't tell you what I'll be reading, I never even know myself!

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

I plan on finishing the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer and reading To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo!

message 18: by Sheri (last edited May 17, 2021 07:03AM) (new)

Sheri Schuttler I like to throw in at least one book that is "good for me" so I'm thinking either Middlemarch by George Eliot or Villette by Charlotte Bronte.

I love how a book makes me want to deep dive - I am doing that after reading Overground Railroad - have now read about all Green Book Traveling along with Soul City and Sundown Towns.

This comment is completely uncalled for.

Yeah, I have my tbr and such but I don't make plans. I have a book that I preordered that comes out in June and that's definitely something I'm going to read once I get it, but other than that I don't have any big plans.

You are not alone. I read them as they pop up either on KU or at the library or just on my own shelves. I read what fits my mood at the moment.

message 27: by audy (brekker's version) (last edited May 17, 2021 09:28AM) (new)

audy (brekker's version) hmmm.... this whole summer ill be rereading my favs

that includes...

Matched (the whole series). Great contemporary romance/dystopian/scifi book for your tastes

Divergent (i haven't read this in super long [time], but i know i enjoyed it a lot and decided to pick up my dusty bookshelf)

the whole riordanverse series is great, but i read every. flipping. one of them 100 times each, so I'm gonna take a break on that and start rereading Braced . This is a great relatable book about a girl who's stuck in a game of scoliosis, love, loyalty, and more. 100% recommend.

also Family Game Night and Other Catastrophes is a fun read.

lastly, Cinder and the whole Lunar Chronicles is one of the best fairytale retellings i ever read. recommend it 150%

Ravyn I'm going to try to read all the books on my to-read list, there's like over 100 lol, but I'm not really going to be doing anything else so I might actually be able to do it. Wish me luck!

message 40: by Chase (new)

Chase Fulford They All Fall Down I'm currently reading this gem by Rachel Howzell Hall that is set on a secluded island, and seems to be read best during the summer. If you like closed-circle isolation mysteries where people die one by one, this is novel that should be on your list.

No, you’re not the only one. I do the same and likewise have an uncountable number of books on my TBR list, on my kindle, in the house etc. I just finished “In An Instant”, by Suzanne Redfearn and it was soo very good. “The End of Temperance Dare”, is next up, only because I got it in the mail on Friday. And I’m sucked in by the cover picture. Supposed to be scary. After I ordered it I realized I’ve read. A lot of this author’s books ( Wendy Webb) already and very much enjoyed them. So that’s my answer to your question, lol!

message 42: by em (new)

em I will be reading Heartstopper: Volume Four after I get to the shops and buy it and I will also be reading One Last Stop when it comes out.

message 43: by Racheal (new)

Racheal Fulford Kicking off the summer with the cozy mystery Blackwork. However, my husband just gifted me Horrorstör so I think I might have to shuffle my summer TBR!

I don't plan either. I see the recommendations, add titles to my "want to read" shelve and then just pick what I'm in the mood for.

message 47: by Kitha Pola (new)
