message 63: by Elaine (new)

Elaine Looks like I picked the wrong week to take a break from my favourite genre. I'm currently reading Ken Follett's "Column of Fire," but a couple of days ago I finished "Killer on the Wall" by Emma Kavanagh.

message 64: by James (new)

James Guevara I know it's probably not listed on here, but I recently read THE WOMAN IN THE WINDOW by AJ Finn. It was so worth the hype!
That was one of the best mystery/thriller novels I've ever read in a long time. I also read BIG LITTLE LIES after such a LONG time as welI. I need to read more thrillers honestly. I feel like from the ones I have picked up before, there is something very eery and dark about the writing style(s) and about the characters too !
If you guys have any recommendations, let me know

You are right. And Then There Were None is a stand-alone. :)

Nichole Zaira wrote: "Ten little niggers from Agatha Christie... and I'm already enjoying it!"

In the future, Zaira, use the other title for that book "And Then There Were None." "Ten Little Niggers" is incredibly offensive to me. It's sickening. I am African-American.

message 94: by N. (new)

N. Jay My only most curious is In Cold Blood,i don't know when to start.

message 95: by Betty (last edited Apr 03, 2018 01:41AM) (new)

Betty I love reading mysteries written by women with female characters as the central character. I've just finished Sue Grafton's G is for Gumshoe tonight and I'm about 50 pages into Janet Evanovich's Two for the Dough.
My friends in our local mystery book club tell me that Sara Paretsky's V. I. Warshawski character is just as intriguing as Grafton's famous sleuth Kinsey Millhone, so I'm sure I'll become a fan too.
Wow, those women sure know how to write suspense. I'm so impressed. I've also been watching all the Agatha Christie DVDs featuring her Miss Marple character. What fun! Classic mysteries, I love "em.
