Is there anyone to talk about his experience writing this type of novel? How does it succeed in writing it?

message 171: by [deleted user] (new)

The Yiddish Policemen's Union

A smart political thriller with a "hard-boiled" hero who has more to him than first meets the eye. Oh, it's also alternate history.

message 176: by Mogster (last edited Apr 04, 2018 09:31PM) (new)

Mogster I am currently reading The Adventuress (A Lady Emily Mystery) by Tasha Alexander. The earlier books in the series were good but then the plots became too outlandish in subsequent books, at least in my opinion. As I had already downloaded this book, I decided to give the series another try. So far I am enjoying the book.

Just want to add, that I admire those of you who are able to read more than one book at a time. Kudos!

message 177: by Steve (new)

Steve Laflamme I notice that all of those reading suggestions are in English. If any Goodreads readers here who enjoy thrillers, crime & mystery novels can read any French and are curious, I humbly suggest you have a glance at my novel, Le Chercheur d'âme (meaning The Soulseeker). It is a serial killer story that happens in Quebec, where I live.

You will find reviews of it here https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

So far, so good: it is rated 4.11 by Goodreads members!

Have fun!

There are a lot of them. I try to read at least one of her books every summer and read the first Poirot appearance a few months ago. I don't think you need to read them in chronological order as I've rarely found references between the stories.
