Eric Plume A book written by someone under 30: Daniel Keys Moran, "Armageddon Blues" - he was 27 when he published it.

Nenia Campbell Thanks, but I ended up going with Hannah Moskowitz since I have an ARC of her newest title. :)

Jess ❈Harbinger of Blood-Soaked Rainbows❈ I can't wait to see your reviews for some of these:)

Jess ❈Harbinger of Blood-Soaked Rainbows❈ You should get your hands on The Vagina Monologues for your play. I just told Karly to read it too.

message 5: by Nenia (new)

Nenia Campbell I think I'll post the reviews alongside my crossed off challenges as I finish. :)

I'll see what I can do! I was thinking Oscar Wilde, but that works too.

Nenia Campbell I've only read DORIAN GRAY but he has a really compelling style. Such dark wit.

Jess ❈Harbinger of Blood-Soaked Rainbows❈ I love Dorian Gray! I find his plays to be very entertaining and funny(plus a bunch of them are free ebooks)!

Kristin LOVE Dorian Gray! Memoirs of a Geisha is one of my favorites, can't wait to see what you think.

Thus the basis of his appeal. ;)

I actually read MoaG when I was seventeen. I loved it at the time so much that I kept my old copy. I'm not sure how I'd feel about it now, so it'll be exciting going into it with semi-new eyes.

The pleasure is all on this side of the computer screen. It's an honor to be able to participate with all you lovely ladies. <3

Karlyflower *The Vampire Ninja, Luminescent Monster & Wendigo Nerd Goddess of Canada (according to The Hulk)* Awww none of yours match mine! Though I am curious to see what you think of The Count of Monte Cristo.... its going on my 2016 classics challenge.

Nenia Campbell My list is a bizarre mishmash of vintage bodice rippers/historicals and random ARCs I got from Netgalley. I have very weird taste in books LOL.

I actually almost finished TCoMC but then I lost my place 70% of the way through and got so frustrated because I couldn't find my place haha. From what I remember, though, it was amazeballs. (Maybe I'll do that challenge with you!)

Also, if you want to do a buddyread, let me know what's on your tbr pile. I'm trying to get rid of my books, and buddyreads are great motivators to get finished with a book!

Karlyflower *The Vampire Ninja, Luminescent Monster & Wendigo Nerd Goddess of Canada (according to The Hulk)* I have my list for this up, but none of yours match lol. My TBR is a crazy mishmash too, I know the feeling. I would love to buddy read with you, though :). If you can think of a swap out on my TBR list for one of my (to acquire) that would totally work for me.

Rabbit {Paint me like one of your 19th century gothic heroines!} Oh, what the hell, I think I'll join everyone! :D

Rabbit {Paint me like one of your 19th century gothic heroines!} Just posted the basic list, I don't know if I can do the whole thing in one year, but this looks like fun. :D

message 21: by Nenia (new)

Nenia Campbell Hooray! Oh, I'm so excited you're joining us!

I'm off to creep your list for potential buddy-reads.

Rabbit {Paint me like one of your 19th century gothic heroines!} I haven't added any books yet to my list, but I do own wolf hall, and I haven't read it yet. When you are ready to read that, let me know. :)

message 23: by Nenia (new)

Nenia Campbell I'd love to BR WOLF HALL with you!

Karlyflower *The Vampire Ninja, Luminescent Monster & Wendigo Nerd Goddess of Canada (according to The Hulk)* *likewising*

Also, Jess may stretch hers out longer, because we be challenge crazy. Totally no finite end date required ;)

message 25: by Nenia (new)

Nenia Campbell This challenge is a really great way to get rid of some of my books that have been moldering around. Once I finish this one, I may very well do another with you ladies, because this is the most bookish fun I've had in ages.

Rabbit {Paint me like one of your 19th century gothic heroines!} @Nenia, For sure. Hopefully this one will be infinitely better than the one we are buddy reading now. LOL

@Karly, oh good, because I tend to do multiple challenges at once, so ones that have no time limit are my faves. :P

message 27: by Nenia (last edited May 07, 2015 07:59PM) (new)

Nenia Campbell They DID make a BBC series out of it, so I harbor hope that it is not completely terrible. I tend to trust BBC's judgments on such things.

Karlyflower *The Vampire Ninja, Luminescent Monster & Wendigo Nerd Goddess of Canada (according to The Hulk)* I'm setting Dec 31 for myself but I'll only weep a little if I don't manage it! I also have the A to Z and multiple buddy-reads coming up lol

Rabbit {Paint me like one of your 19th century gothic heroines!} Sometimes I like to surprise myself so I haven't researched that book at all. Not even reviews. :P

Good luck, Karly!

Jess ❈Harbinger of Blood-Soaked Rainbows❈ RABBIT!!!! I just saw this and I'm so glad you are joining us!

PS guys, I'm again drunk so please don't hold any drunken posts I may leave tonight against me. Damn scotch.

Rabbit {Paint me like one of your 19th century gothic heroines!} Enjoy your scotch. :D

This is exciting!

message 32: by Kristin (new)

Kristin Hehe your drinker posts are the bestest

Karlyflower *The Vampire Ninja, Luminescent Monster & Wendigo Nerd Goddess of Canada (according to The Hulk)* Awww, I missed scotch-filled Jess AGAIN! (I second what Kristin said)

Also, I'm looking forward to seeing what you pick, Rabbit :)
