1 Great Jones Alley
Designed by BKSK, the property’s location on Great Jones Street is a private, gated drive. Those looking for a a gracious and intimate lifestyle in Noho will be thrilled with what 1 Great Jones Alley has to offer. The building’s residences range in size from two to four bedrooms. Not only do the residences have modern, Zen-inspired finishes, but the amenities available at 1 Great Jones Alley are just as impressive as what you’ll find at some of the neighborhood’s most popular spas.
History
This project was developed by Madison Realty Capital. From the project’s beginning, one of its truly unique features has been the private 125-foot long entranceway. Although there was a time when this type of entrance was available at a variety of buildings, there are only a few remaining in all of New York City. This wonderful feature at 1 Great Jones Alley is made possible by the fact that the developer actually owns the Alley. The project is still on schedule to be completed in 2017.
Architecture
Rendering Courtesy of 1 Great Jones Alley
When BKSK began this project, they wanted it to reflect the Alley’s heritage that dates all the way back to 1806. At the same time, they wanted to create a building for buyers who might otherwise consider an apartment on the Upper East Side. This balance resulted in thoughtful touches that include updating the exterior by repaving with Belgian block and enclosing with a Corten steel and mesh gate. The building itself spans a total of twelve stories, and features an interior garden on the second floor that’s built around a glass jewel box staircase.
Rendering Courtesy of 1 Great Jones Alley
Residences
There are a total of sixteen residences at 1 Great Jones Alley. Each residence organically reflects its artistic roots, as well as grants residents a design-driven retreat of highly livable comfort. In the living room, light pleasantly streams in through floor-to-ceiling glass, granting residents natural light from daybreak to sunset. The muted tones and clean lines of the Arclinea kitchen create a look that’s understated but still spectacular.
A variety of amenities are also available to residents, including a subterranean spa that includes stone-clad thermal baths and a steam room. The serene features of this spa are echoed in each residence’s master bathroom.
Availability
The four residences currently available at 1 Great Jones Alley are:
4B: 3-bedroom/2.5-bathroom with 1,874 square feet, listed for $4.95M
5A: 2-bedroom/2-bathroom with 1,778 square feet, listed for $4.725M
