I Will Follow: To Eternity And Beyond by Ju Ephraime @JuEphraime ~ Sensual Romance That Transcends Time and Place.

I Will Follow: To Eternity And Beyond  is a heady and sensual romance about a love that transcends time and place.written by Ju Ephraime @JuEphraime

Catherine is living a dream life, rescued from an orphanage and married to her best friend. Life couldn’t get any better, and she is the envy of everyone in the little town where she lives. But it turns into a nightmare the day she is given the news that will change her life forever… Her fairy tale life becomes a living hell on earth.

For two years she exists, barely acknowledging one day from the next. Suddenly, without any warning, a stranger walks into her life, and everything is about to change. Is Catherine ready for the change, or is she still only living to die?
Titus is only visiting the home of his brother-in-law’s distant cousin. He isn’t looking for a relationship; neither is he searching for love. Yet, they both find him, with no advanced warning. Titus is not one to succumb without a fight, and boy does he fight, but it seems the harder he fights, the more the force pushing him into Catherine’s waiting arms fights back.

"Ju Ephraime's historical romance, I Will Follow: To Eternity And Beyond, is a heady and sensual romance about a love that transcends time and place. Catherine and Cameron are marvelous characters. She's the guiding star that he's inescapably drawn to, and he's the knight in shining armor who snatches her from the clutches of an unscrupulous nun who means her nothing but harm. This novel is set in the pre-WWI years, and the author does a beautiful job of setting the scene, especially in the care she takes with the descriptions of the landed gentility and the growing in roads the automobile makes into the British countryside. While there are a number of scenes involving love-making and sensuality, they are well-written and appropriate for an adult audience. The paranormal aspect of this novel is also enticing and adds a touch of mystery to the plot. I Will Follow: To Eternity And Beyond is most highly recommended."Jack Magnus - Readers' Favorite

Enjoy A Sample from Chapter 21     Catherine continued on her way to her greenhouse, grateful she’d not run into Titus. She liked to think of him as Titus, not Lord Braithwaite, which somehow seemed too formal. He made her feel things. Things she hadn’t felt in years, and she resented him for it. She wanted him gone from Chatterwoods and her life back to being the way it was before the dinner party.

She spent a very satisfying morning taking care of her plants and working on a new scent she was trying to create. It was almost there, but something was missing. She had to go through the oils she had in her small apothecary to see if there was anything there she could use to enhance the scent.

Exhausted from the events of the previous night and everything that had taken place, including Titus entering her room, Catherine left the greenhouse and proceeded to go to her room. A long soak in her tub was what she needed. Catherine found it both a pleasure and a torture to soak in the tub. It reminded her so much of Cameron. He used to love to bathe her or use the bath water after her. She missed all these things about him. Everything about life excited him, and he had infected her with that excitement. It was like a contagion. Now that he was gone, she missed that excitement.

It was almost time for supper, so she got dressed, left her room, and was making her way to Suzan’s room to check up on her when she came face to face with Lord Braithwaite, walking out of Cameron’s room. Two things hit her at the same time. She could have sworn she saw Cameron walking out of his room. Rubbing her eyes, she looked again, but it was only Titus Braithwaite. He didn’t look like Cameron, except in their well-developed musculature, so how could she have mistaken the two? But all this aside, why was Lord Braithwaite still at Chatterwoods?

Beyond the Shadows byAnna Hub @annahubbooksAward-WinningandInt'l Bestselling Author
What if your shadow was the gateway to a sinister new world?
Selena Parker’s journey into the unknown begins in her dreams, but the consequences are carried back into her conscious life and she soon realizes paranormal forces are at work. Her shadow has become more than just an image; it is a gateway to a sinister new world where mysterious creatures roam and she is confronted by danger that challenges her will to survive. She finds the man whose fate is linked inexplicably to her own but she knows nothing of him and doubts his true nature. Her only option is to place her life in his hands while they search for a way to stop the shadows claiming them forever.

At first, I couldn’t breathe, and once again my skin stung as though an unseen force might rip it from my body. I clamped my eyes shut and waited until the stagnant feeling in my lungs dissipated.
Darkness surrounded me, and the sound of crickets clicking became louder, as though they had paused upon my arrival and were beginning to relax. The forest floor was soft and moist, sinking as I crouched. I checked the ground was stable before I stood up and found my balance. The crickets stopped again. No other threatening sounds reached me and yet instinct warned me danger was nearby. Something wet crawled over my foot. I struggled to withhold a scream as I jumped to the side. Another warm body collided with me and a hand curled over my lips before I could cry out.
“Shh.” Warm breath exhaled over my neck.
I struggled to break free, but the hand tightened.
“Who are you?” he whispered.
I couldn't reply. He shuffled to the side dragging me with him as he moved. The trees rustled, and the light of the moon crept in to join us. We were surrounded by dense foliage, too conveniently wrapped around to have grown that way naturally. He released, and pushed me away in the same movement and finally I saw his face. Brayden. He looked completely different to the man unconscious in the hospital bed. His eyes were sharp—almost accusing.
“How did you get here?” he asked.
“Do you remember me?” He stared at me with fierce eyes, and I struggled to continue.
“You spoke to me in the restaurant.”
“How did you land here?” his voice came out cold.
It didn’t matter where I'd landed, I needed to know why this was happening. “You warned me about this—about the shadows—”
“Tell me how you passed here.”
"I went to visit you in the hospital.”
“You shouldn’t be in the hospital. You shouldn't be here.”
I edged further away. “I didn’t know what else to do.”
Suddenly his back straightened, and he leaned outside to check our surroundings. Seconds past and he gradually turned back, his gaze resting by my feet. “If they find you they’ll kill you.”
He must have been talking about the men with the grey eyes. “What are they?”
“I don’t know.”
The crickets chirped again. “The other day I was chased by one—”
He nodded.
“You were there,” I prompted.
“It’s not just them, the ones with the grey eyes. There are animals too.”
Eventually, he leaned back against a tree; his demeanour flat. Shouldn't he be eager to hear my story? Didn't he want to share information so we could find a way to save ourselves? Instead, he closed his eyes, as though he had nothing else to say.
I stepped forward. “You grabbed me when I was being chased. Why did you do that?”
“Your shadow is the only way to escape,” his voice hollowed out—detached.
“Did you push me through it on purpose?”
“The more the shadows take you, the faster they come back for more. The only way to escape is to force yourself back through.”
In the darkness I could barely make out my own hand, there was no shadow. Did that mean there was no way to go back? My chest tightened as I realised I would be trapped with this stranger until morning hit. Back in the hospital, it had been late in the afternoon. Soon the sun would set there and perhaps that was when morning would break here.
I couldn't help wondering if I'd made a mistake coming here. There was something about him that made me uneasy. Not just his silence but the impression that he was lost. Both physically and mentally. Although his posture had been tense under the moonlight, he didn't actually seem afraid. Not the way I was—with wide eyes and shaking hands.
He turned, his eyes wandering blankly before they focused. “Soon it will be morning; that’s when they hunt. As soon as the sun hits, you need to force your way back through your shadow. Throw yourself at the ground, as hard as you can. The longer you spend here, the harder it is to go back.”
I blanched. I’d waited for the shadow to take me from the hospital. I’d almost come by choice but that only made things worse. “And then what?”
“Then you hide from them.”
My lungs swelled with air, but I couldn't force myself to exhale. “But I can’t. It doesn’t work.”
“There’s no other way.” He took my hand abruptly. I wanted to pull back, but he held on too tight. “I’ll try to come back with you.”
“Where are we going?”
He pushed the ferns aside and held a finger to his lips for silence. “We can’t stay here.”

Anna Hub
Featured Book: Beyond the Shadows

Hello readers! I'm a paranormal thriller author from Perth, Western Australia (yes, I have a funny accent) and I'm so excited to be involved in the Dark Legends boxed set. There are so many amazing authors in this project, I can't wait to unleash it upon the world!
Welcome, Anna! How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing?
When I was a child I wanted to be an author, but as I grew up society somehow managed to convince me it wasn't a good career choice. So when I left high-school, I studied nursing instead but as soon as I started working in that field, a deep sense of dissatisfaction stirred in me. Something was missing and that sense of being lost led me to my first novel. The more I wrote, the happier I became and I haven't looked back since. Now my motto is: if you can't do it with passion, don't do it at all!
How did you come up with this story line?
Shadows are constantly used to represent fear of the unknown in an audience, whether it be via movies, music or performance. I felt drawn to them because they can evoke such powerful emotions. I wanted to work on something dark and mysterious but not just to scare, rather to use as a contrast for the light. I thought, what if there was a good reason to fear your own shadow? What if it was the gateway to a sinister new world? The idea would leave my protagonist completely powerless, because no matter how fast she ran or how hard she tried to escape it, her shadow would always be one step behind her. I wanted to take her to the very edge of her survival ability, then give her the strength to overcome it. Because that's what we all do in life, we fight to survive the bad things that happen to us.               What are the best and the worst aspects of writing?
Writing a book is one of the hardest things I've ever done and that never seems to change, whether it's my first or my sixth novel. Because every book is different and they can't be written the same way. Some days it really does feel as though every minute is just one tiny step in an impossible journey. But although it can be torturous, that is exactly the same thing that makes it so incredibly rewarding! It's not worth winning if you don't have to fight for it. All the frustration, long nights and aching neck muscles make the words 'The End' feel like such a victory. It's within the struggle that there's glory!
What inspires you to write?
I've always been in love with dark concepts of ghosts, witches, magic and demons. I want to believe the supernatural exists in our world, even though we can't see it. Writing books is the best way for me to find myself in their world. It truly is like living multiple lives at once. And I find the more I write, the more I learn about myself. It's a way to digest the things that are happening in my life. Things that make me happy, things that break my heart and things that inspire me to be a better person.
How did you conduct your research for Beyond the Shadows?
I had so much fun researching for Beyond the Shadows! I used a combination of Google searches and library books. My favourite was an SAS survival guide. So if the zombie apocalypse comes, you want to be with me. I know all about how to find food in the wilderness!
What is your favourite quote from Beyond the Shadows?
“You spend so long fearing it,” his gaze lingered on his shadow, “but everything here is opposite. The very thing that brought you nightmares can be the thing you hope for.”
What would your friends say is your best quality?
I'm a good listener and a loyal friend. Once you've got me, you've got me for life :)
Are reader reviews important to you?
Reader reviews are so important to me. When you think about it, creative jobs are one of the few career choices where you don't have a boss telling you how well you're performing. I rely on readers to be honest in their feedback because it helps me learn and grow as a writer.
What do you do when you don’t write?
I love picnics with my boyfriend, BBQs with friends and we have the most beautiful beaches in Western Australia so I love being there too.
I also love love love yoga. It's been a part of my life for many years now and I find it keeps me balanced both in mind and body.
And of course, I love reading in the bath!
Tell us about your other books?
Beyond the Shadows is the first book in a four part series, The Shadow Series. I also have a standalone paranormal thriller about ghosts, called The Ninth Hunter. And at the moment, I'm working on a YA novel about grim reapers.
One thing you're sure to find in all my books is a unique take on mythology or a completely new concept all together. I love to explore uncharted ideas, although it can be torturous to edit, it's totally worth it. Readers often comment on the depth of imagination that goes into my world building, and it's so much fun to write!
If you could share one thing about yourself that you would like readers to know what would it be?
I already mentioned this in one of my earlier answers but I love to preach passion. I live my life by this concept but I think we should all find something we can fall madly in love with. Whether it be cooking, sport, reading, painting, whatever! Find something that makes your heart sing and give time to it. The riches of happiness are far greater than anything else.
I absolutely love meeting new readers and fans of the fantasy/paranormal genres so we can share book recommendations. So don't be shy, come and find me through the social media links!

Anna Hub is a paranormal/thriller author from Perth, Western Australia. She qualified as a nurse in her early twenties but in 2007, decided to chase her childhood dream of becoming an author instead. Since then, she has surrendered her heart and soul to writing. Although terrified of horror movies, Anna loves to write on the dark side and explore uncharted mythologies. She believes our imaginations are infinite and inside the pages of a book, there is no limit, no exact destination and our minds are free to exist in many worlds.

Mikhail Anton Ray: I needed her to fulfill my destiny but she became my life
Leana Iyeroy: I'll never submit to a vampire or another shifter - but he is so much more than either.
Micah must mate with wolf-shifter Leana to harness their collective energies, and overcome the vampire built mind-net that has infiltrated the humans robbing them of their emotions. But when Leana's ward is kidnapped and used against them, the future of humanity is at stake.

Mikhail looks at the shifter girl as she passes by him, so close that if he put out his hand he can touch her cheek. Touch that skin shining with sweat, and pale under her tan as if it's taking all she has just to keep the pain at bay.
She adjusts the strap of the scabbard that crosses between her breasts, and his eyes fall on the rise-fall-rise of her chest. Over the swell of the vest that stretches tight across, outlining her nipples.
And despite the fact that she doesn't even notice him, despite the fact that he's surrounded by jostling crowds, Mikhail finds himself aroused.
Heat twists his gut with such suddenness that he gasps.
It's the second time he's surprised himself in the space of an hour. The first was when he'd seen the girl fall to the ground in the cage… and not move.
He was sure she'd be up on her feet and downing her sword at the brute hybrid coming at her, but she hadn't.
She'd just lain there still, so still he'd been sure she had been hurt badly or worse that she'd been killed. And before he could stop himself, before he'd even known what he'd been doing he'd run through the crowd, breaking through to the front and then he'd felled the guard at the entrance to the cage with one blow. Had taken the keys from him, unlocked the gate, slammed it behind him and had run towards the fallen figure all in a matter of seconds.
As he'd leant over her she'd moaned and something tightly clenched inside him had relaxed.
She was alive.

Laxmi Hariharan
Featured Book: RedemptionHello from London :)
Hello and welcome, Laxmi; so nice to have you here. How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing? I've been writing since very young and with intent from 2003. Published my first book in 2011
How did you come up with this storyline?             I wanted to write a paranormal story with a difference. Set in a futuristic Bombay where I grew up, dystopian, yet intense and romantic. Borrowing from the threads of Indian mythology yet spanning both Eastern and Western cultures.
What are the best and the worst aspects of writing? Writing helps me plumb the depths of my consciousness. By understanding character motivations I understand my own.
What inspires you to write? The 'aha' moment from breaking a character and rebuilding him or her back and understanding why they do what they do. And hence understanding why I do what I do in life.
How did you conduct your research for Redemption?I look for the key emotion that will be the theme of the book. In this case it was Leana and Mikhail finding Redemption. Leana putting an end to the cycle or the curse that has plagued her ancestral line for centuries.
What are 3 of your favorite quotes from Redemption?Opening of Redemption is my fave: One of us is going to die. He looks at me, the beast. Wolf. Man. Wolf?  He's both. He's neither. He's just like me.
More Favorites from Redemption:I'll give you a poem from Feral, the first book in this series for the main character of Feral and later Taken is a soldier poet You are the only person I wishI had never met. I suspect if you knewyou might have more respect for me nowthan you did then.
So strike a fracture through thisglass this view this thing that shimmerslike doubt between us, break it apartwith your hands.
What would your friends say is your best quality? My persistence
Are reader reviews important to you? Yes they are hugely important in discoverability especially on Amazon. But I am too scared to look at them. I don't want to get too demotivated by the not great ones or too affected by praise either. So instead I look for feedback from my beta readers who are amazing.
What do you do when you don’t write? I like to be active - work out, yoga, walking in London and gardening and spending time with my film maker husband watching films and series.
Tell us about your other books? Feral the first in the Many Lives Series is my favorite. About Maya a wolf girl who leaves her mate Luke to go in search of her blood family. Only to uncover secrets.
If you could share one thing about yourself that you would like readers to know what would it be? That I hope my words will move them and help them understand themselves better. That I hope they will see a bit of themselves in my characters.
I hope you'll read Feral the first book in this series. If you join my newsletter you'll get Feral for free.

The Many Lives series begins in present day Bombay when a tsunami wipes away much of the city. Post-tsunami Bombay of the future is one of the most prosperous cities in the world. On the other hand, successive economic downturns have stripped most Western cities, including London of wealth, pushing many to seek a new life in the East. Refugees from Europe now pour into Bombay, into the camp nicknamed the Jungle. And no one is safe from the growing menace of the merciless human-wolf hybrid shifters and vampires.

Each book in the Many Lives universe is a stand alone in the series. A possible progression is as listed below

Winemaker of the North
byJ.T. Williams@AuthorZiokAward-WinningandInt'l Bestselling Author

Sviska is an assassin for an Order that nears completion of its crusade of genocide.
A war raged against magic. Elves and dwarves fought for their lives but men stepped from the ashes as the supreme race. Now, whispers speak of a last hold in the northern mountains protected by magic. But no army can assault this place...

There is only one option. Sviska. Undercover and with only his wits to help him, he is the last hope for men. But an ancient evil works against him and Sviska feels something beyond himself; a power within that awakens in the realm of magic. Fate will force him into a terrible choice.

Moonlight cast a thin shadow across the floor as a cold night wind rustled Sviska’s cape. He had been silent since ascending the stairwell of the keep, sneaking past numerous men patrolling the halls. The highest level had proved the least guarded, but getting past the last two men without them seeing him was impossible. Sviska would take only a few seconds, emerging from the shadows moving under bleak torchlight, to be within range. The hour was late and the guards were tired. Within only a few strides from his targets, he went from a sneaking pace to a sprint before leaping into the larger one, driving his dagger into his neck. Turning to the second man, he was surprised when he dropped his spear and cowered, putting his hands out in a motion begging for mercy. A poor guard for his charge in the keep. Sviska slashed his neck causing a bubbling red stream to run down the collapsing body. He glanced back down the hall as he caught and laid the man next to the first one. His killings had not gotten the attention of anyone else in the keep. He glanced at an image on the door before passing into the room, leaving their bodies outside. He would not tarry. Through an open window across the room, he could hear the dogs barking and their frantic but pointless search. One of the other bodies must have been found. He was not surprised given he had to take the main road in and the city was already on high alert due to their rebellious state. He was sent to curb the lord of Tar Mena’s obedience to his masters. The lord had ignored other attempts at peace, and a lesson tonight would teach him to behave appropriately.Sviska tiptoed forward. His boots made little noise as he passed across the darkened room. An image of a tree and two stars, as well as mention of a medallion worn by his target, accompanied the message that had ordered him from the desert of the south to this far northern wooded town.  Upon the door of this very room, he saw the identical image. A sleeping form awaited their death.Stepping around a rocking chair and then onto a rug that ran before the canopied bed, he could see in the gleam of the moon a sheen metal upon the chest of the person. In the blankets, the person moved and something fell out of the bed, rolling into Sviska’s path. He stepped on it, looked down, and found a doll wearing a blue dress under his dark boots. What is this?He moved his hand from the hilt of his dagger and reached down to pick up the doll. Its stringy hair was caked with blood from the underside of his boot. The guard near the front gates had required additional silencing, and Sviska’s foot had worked well to quiet him. He dropped the doll and then leaned over the bed. He had expected a woman or a man, but instead, wrapped in blankets and slightly snoring, he found a little girl sleeping. Her arm was above her head, and her hair fell down her face in braided strands. Why a child? This cannot be.However, the child was marked with the medallion as his task stated she would be. His masters would not take failure lightly. The Keepers, the assassins of the Order of men, were not allowed to choose to accept or not. They were to simply comply with the wishes of the Order. His hand gripped his dagger, but his heart thudded and he shivered with chills. He could not draw blood from a child. What crime would a child be guilty of? He had no choice. It was a moment later when the heavy thud of metal boots preceded the door to the room slamming open. A form appeared, holding a torch and a large hammer. It was a large man, taller than Sviska, and swift, much swifter than the veiled assassin expected.Sviska went for his sword, sidestepping the arching blow from the hammer, which cracked into the floor just near the bed of the child. He tripped over the rocking chair and rolled toward the wall. The man shouted out, “Guards! To the room of my daughter! I have found him!” The child began screaming in a deafening pitch. The figure swung the war hammer again as Sviska made it back to his feet. The iron-spiked head of the hammer just missed him. He ran near the window edge, but the blow of the hammer came again, striking his sheath against the wall and forcing him around to face the man. Multiple guards entered the room, and Sviska felt behind him at the open air of the outside. He glanced down but saw nothing but the ground. He attempted again to draw his sword, but he could not. He gripped his dagger.“I will help you out of my daughter’s room!” the man yelled before charging him. He stepped forward, attempting to spin around his attacker, but found himself with the wooden handle of the war hammer against his neck and jaw. The back of his legs were against the bricks of the window. He struggled to push back, but the man had him. With a shout, the angered father of his victim pushed once more, forcing him over the ledge.  Sviska closed his eyes, feeling the wind around his body, awaiting his end that he deserved for his many tasks. He had become tired of his own deeds. The Order had become senseless in their targets, and now, after this one, he welcomed death. But that was not his fate.
J.T. Williams

Featured Book: Winemaker of the North

Thank you for the opportunity to give you a bit more info about myself. I’ve been crazy busy lately so it’s nice to just answer a few questions!
Welcome, we are so glad to have you under the *H*O*T* Spotlight today! How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing? I have been a writer since around 3rd grade. I never cared for the “school required” state testing writing prompts and frequently got in trouble for not writing the assigned work my English teachers would give me. By middle school, I had learned I had to actually do what I was told but I started writing my own fantasy stories around this time.
How did you come up with this storyline?  Oddly enough, it was something I began writing out of a mix of love for fast paced sword and sorcery fantasy and history of religious persecutions of Nordic, Germanic, and otherwise “pagan” religions around the time of the Holy Roman Empire. In my book, peoples of magic (i.e. elves, dwarves, fairies) have been brought to near extinction by the empirical Grand Protectorate of Men. This story follows a man that learns that literally his entire life has been a lie and he is tied into the future of magic in the world by fate.    What are the best and the worst aspects of writing? The best is the free flow of ideas as the story isn’t a chore to write but literally a movie that I record what happens. I have an idea and know a few characters and they show me the story. The worst aspect is fact-checking and assuring books over a series stay consistent. As I am now writing the eight book in this world, I have a TON of history. It can be harrowing at times to keep all the events, gods, myths, etc. straight in my mind! I have a lot of notes!
What inspires you to write? The desire to journey to worlds beyond my own and to create characters that people can relate to, cheer for, and hate… sometimes all at the same time.
How did you conduct your research for Winemaker of the North?I studied winemaking, for one. The actual process and a way to twist it a bit for the “magical” properties I needed. I also looked up supposed alchemical devices and ingredients just to find a bit of inspiration. I already possessed a working knowledge of the historical events that this book is inspired from but I did a lot of background work that was just for me as I formed my own pantheon of gods, goddesses, and holy places for my stories.
Favorites from Winemaker of the North? The interactions between two of my characters are some of my favorite parts of Winemaker of the North. Sviska, the main character, is an assassin that literally has never had a family and Brethor, the Lord of the city in the book, has lost all of his family due to a curse. They become very close throughout the book which makes the ending of the book that much more difficult. No spoilers here, though.
What would your friends say is your best quality? My loyalty. I have a small circle of those I would call my friends and for them, I would do almost anything.
Are reader reviews important to you? Reviews are important to me because I like for other readers to know what, as a reader, the person liked about the story. I take the bad with the good, though. Not everyone loves everything but I do hope that people enjoy what I write. The reader is the most important person for my story. I want to entertain them!
What do you do when you don’t write? I have five kids so I stay really busy! Aside from that, I work as a Paramedic for a fairly busy 911 service. So you can use your imagination for that one!  I also enjoy sword fighting (I used to fence and was quite good when I was doing it all the time), hiking, and archery.
Tell us about your other books? The other books in this series follow and fairly complex and epic storyline following personal duels and revelations as well as massive battles, explosive magic, and a final fight for the fate of the realms.
My other books are set in this same world but at a time before the events of Winemaker of the North. Half-Elf Chronicles is about a half-elf named Kealin who while unlocking a long hidden power of his non-elf side literally ends up facing the god of death who has a personal vendetta against him. This is an ongoing six book series. Many of the characters in these books are also in my other books.
If you could share one thing about yourself that you would like readers to know what would it be? I try to add a touch of realism to everything I write. Emotion is an important part of my books and if I can make you happy, excited, nervous, or down right angry with my stories, I feel like I’ve done my job as an author.
Thank you for taking the time to read through these many questions. I hope you enjoy my books and I look forward to talking with you. Hit me up via email or even Facebook messenger!
We are so very happy to have had this chance to get to know you! Good Luck with Dark Legends!

DREADFUL LIES. UNEXPECTED LOVE. IMPOSSIBLE TRUTH.
It only took one heartbeat to change my life--one chilling phone call in the middle of the night.

And then, as if my life didn't already suck, my dad sends my brother and me to some idyllic island for the summer to live with a grandma we never met. WTH. Naturally, I rebel. In the end, I find myself shipped off to Raven Hallow...and bored to tears.

Until I get an eyeful of the mind-bendingly gorgeous Zane Hunter. The dark-hair cutie makes my pulse go bonkers, and I think, maybe this might not be so bad after all. Six feet of swoon inducing looks, with a hint of Celtic charm in his voice, he was the type of guy that left a string of broken hearts in his wake. And I had all the heartbreak I could handle.

Yet, there is something uncanny, almost supernatural about Zane, and it's not just his devastating smirk. No matter how much distance I put between us, Raven Hallow isn't big enough, and the sparking tension between is undeniable. Of course, the one person I want to avoid becomes my salvation.

My past comes back to terrorize me. Someone wants me dead, and the closer I get to the truth, the more I realize my whole life is a lie. I am no longer sure what is more frightening--the attempts on my life or the guy whose heart and soul are synchronized with mine.

WHITE RAVEN is the enthralling first installment in The Raven series. A YA paranormal romance full of atmosphere, self-discovery, and love that will keep you captivated until the very last page.

TJ and Rose kept the conversation rolling as I gave the appropriate one-word responses or a head nod. I didn’t have much of an appetite, mostly picking at my chicken Caesar salad and gazing out at the ocean, until…
His hair was black as a wintry night, eyes icy blue as a gypsy’s heart. He had a lazy saunter about him and a glint of humor twinkling in those heart-melting eyes. There was nothing loose about his body, muscles bunching as he tethered a boat to the dock. I twiddled the straw, staring brazenly.
Good God. I wanted to have his babies. Not now, but most definitely someday. And just like that, my summer got a billion times hotter…and interesting—way more interesting. I bit my lip, mulling over how I was going to accidentally fall into his pants. Um—I mean path or even his lap would do, anything to get that one’s attention.
Drool hit the table in a mad case of fangirl, and I didn’t even know his name.
As if he sensed he was being slobbered over, his eyes scraped over me, and I held my breath. Holy hot tamales. An electric bolt of…lust maybe, I really didn’t know what it was, but it coiled through my body, making me shudder. A flicker of an unidentified emotion crossed his face, right before a secret smile appeared on his lips. Oh man, don’t get me started on his lips.
Elbows propped on the table, I rested my head on the edge of my palms, continually gazing and getting lost in the depths of his eyes. He hypnotized me. I followed his movements, my eyes glued to him. Then one of my elbows slipped off the table in classic Piper form, and down I went. I caught myself just before my chin whacked a corner of the patio table.
Only me.
Mortified, I closed my eyes.

TJ laughed. “Smooth, Pipe. I think you made a lasting impression.”

J.L. Weil
Featured Book: White Raven

I am super thrilled to be a part of this amazing boxed set and be in the company of such awesome authors. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Jennifer Weil, but I write under J.L. Weil, and I’m most known for my Divisa Series.

Hello, Jennifer! How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing?
For me, it all started because I love to read. I daydream a lot, and then one day, I started to write down the scenes running in my head. When I actually sat down to write my first book, I felt utterly ridiculous and excited at the same time. Luminescence was the end result, my very first novel. For the next two years, I literally wrote non-stop, releasing nine books. White Raven was my twelfth novel, and I currently have written a totally of fifteen books.

My publishing journey has had its ups and downs. I’ve learned so much, and most of it from trial and error (lots of error). I virtual knew nothing about self-publishing when I started, and even though I have done the traditional route, for me personally, self-publishing fits. I enjoy the creative freedom and flexibility of making my own schedule.

How did you come up with this storyline?
Umm, I do a ton of daydreaming. Actually, I sleep with a notebook and a pen on my nightstand. There have been many times I've woken up and scratched something down. The fun part is trying to decipher it in the morning.

I love myths and legends, particularly those Celtic inspired.

What are the best and the worst aspects of writing?
I absolutely love being a writer. My favorite part would be sharing the excitement of something I created with my readers. I love the interaction and the shared love for the characters. It is absolutely amazing hearing how excited readers get for release day, and I definitely feed off the energy. It motivates me to keep writing.

It’s also pretty to cool to work in your PJ’s and not have to care what my hair looks like.

Are there bad aspects of being a writer?
For me personally, my biggest obstacle to overcome is negativity. I’m kind of a sensitive person, so developing a backbone has been a challenge. No matter how many hundreds of readers tell me how much they’ve enjoyed a book or loved a character, it only takes one negative comment. It doesn’t always affect me in major ways, but it might stick with me, maybe sneak back while I’m writing.

For readers who don’t know about your books, tell us a little about them?
Romance is my favorite genre. And I adore young love. There is nothing better than exploring that first kiss, those intense crazy feelings, and being so blissfully in love that nothing else matters.

I love to write about headstrong females with smart mouths that get them in loads of trouble, and drool-worthy alpha males who get knocked on their butt all in the name of love. Add a bit of paranormal and magic to the mix and that’s my recipe for a novel.

What do you think makes a good story?
A really hot, mouth-watering bad boy. I am a sucker for them. The more possessive and snarky, the better. Lots of kissing and stuff, if you get my drift. I also like my heroine to be sassy and empowering.

Are you a Plotting (plot out) and Pantsing (free writing) writing?
No plotting here. I pretty much fly by the seat of my pants. My style consists of a bunch of scribbled notes of ideas and scenes that come to me in the most inconvenient times, like when I’m stuck in traffic, in the shower, or waiting in line at the grocery store. Trying to piece those together in a story that flows can be interesting. Most of the time when I get to the end of a book, I’m shocked it all came together. I also think I suffer quite a bit from procrastination thanks to Twitter and Facebook.

What are 3 of your favorite quotes from White Raven?
“I think you dropped something, Pipe,” he said.
“Uh, what?”
“Your standards,” he sneered.”

“Oh, so suddenly you’re an expert in crazy?”
“After meeting you, I feel I could write a thesis on the subject.”

“…I will be your sword. I will be your shield. I will defend you until my last breath. This vow I swear freely, to be your weapon as long as you shall live.”

Who is your favorite character from White Raven and why?
Zane Hunter. I love bad boys, and Zane being death reaper definitely has a bad side. I like to let my lead males be bad. The more trouble they cause the better. They’re more fun that way!

Are reader reviews important to you?
Extremely. I like knowing how the reader felt about the story, or if they connected with a certain character. Those are elements I want to know if they came across to the reader as I had hoped. For me, characterization is important, and I like to keep things as real as possible. I want the reader to forget it’s a paranormal story. And of course lots of hot guys help. The feedback I get from readers helps me know areas I might need to pay more attention to. I want to grow as a writer with each book.

What are five facts readers might not know about you?
1. I am obsessed with tattoos and piercings. They can be found in almost all my stories.
2.  Jensen Ackles is my celebrity crush. *sigh*
3. I love Celtic, magical, and mystical elements.
4. Green Bay Packers are my favorite team!
5. I’m shy and suck at chitchat.

Tell us about your other books?
I have two other series besides the Raven Series. The Divisa series is about a half-demon and the girl he would risk everything to save. Chase and Angel have a unique bond. And through the series the bond only deepens, solidifying Angel to Chase and consequently to Hell. This series is filled with romance, action, challenges, death, and an unbreakable love. I have mad love for these two characters.

The Luminescence Trilogy was the first series I ever wrote and is packed with magic and young love. Brianna and Gavin captivate the pages of this series. In a journey self-discovery, Bri must learn to embrace the power inside her.

What are you currently working on?
I am working on a new series, Beauty Never Dies Chronicles. It is a Dystopian Fantasy Romance with a fairytale spin. Slumber, book 1, will be out January 10, 2017.

Thanks for stopping by guys! I hope you’ll check out Dark Legends and find yourself capture by the stories inside.

Award-winning and Bestselling author J.L. Weil writes Teen & New Adult Paranormal Romances about spunky, smart mouth girls who always wind up in dire situations. For every sassy girl, there is an equally mouthwatering, overprotective guy. Of course there is lots of kissing. And stuff. Most of her books are for ages 16+. They usually have what she considers the good stuff - sexual content (oh yeah) and swearing. You have been warned ;) An admitted addict to Love Pink clothes, raspberry mochas from Starbucks, (yum!) and Jensen Ackles (double yum!). She loves gushing about books and Supernatural with her readers. www.jlweil.com
