Determined to prove herself she struts into a well known magic club in the Red Light District hoping to put her carefully thought out plan into motion.
• step one- seduce Maxwell Henderson,
• step two - steal his enchanted ring
Unfortunately not all plans come to fruition and the evening doesn't pan out how she planned. Things get out of her control quickly when confronted with the devilishly handsome Maxwell and Loti ends up spending a very intense night with him instead.
The next day she wakes up alone in his bed with the realisation that all her magic is gone. Devastated she confides in her cousin Sophia who informs her that she can get powers back, but only if Max falls madly in love with her.
Will Loti be able to resist the temptation of Max or will she follow through with her plan to regain her magic and accept her powerful destiny?

The stream of sunshine were caressing my face and I stirred on the bed awake. I felt warm, and very well rested. I stretched my arms wide, realising that my own bed had never felt so comfortable. The space around me was clean and slowly my eyes adjusted to the bright light that was streaming into the room. I was laying in bed naked and I had no idea what the hell happened to me last night. Maxwell Henderson, the incubus demon had managed to seduced me. His scent was still overwhelming, drifting around the room. We had sex, probably the most amazing sex in my life. I pulled the covers away and got out off the bed. My hair were tangled and my make up was probably ruined. I tried to make myself looking great again using a makeover spell if case he would come back to the room, but nothing happened. I tried again, but it seemed like my magic was gone. The familiar tingling around my body wasn’t there anymore. The magic that normally brew inside me had been completely wiped away. I looked around with panic, thinking that this was impossible, I was a witch and my magic had been with me since I was a little girl. Something must have happened last night, something bad. My entire plan was ruined. Maxwell Henderson had managed to tricked me. He gave me the most unbelievable, multiple orgasms and then he left me here in his room alone. The coven assured me that my magic was supposed to be immune me to Incubus lust, so what the hell happened last night? I had lost my head the moment he approached me in the lounge. I started searching for my mobile phone frantically, hoping to figure out what the hell happened. I located it under the bed and a second later I was dialling my cousins number. Max must have let me in his bedroom alone for a reason. He must have known that I was after his precious ring. “Hey sweetie, what’s up?” my cousin Sophia sang, sounding very cheerful this morning. “I’m in Maxwell Henderson’s bedroom. Just woke up and my magic is gone,” I hissed to the phone, completely freaked out. All right, I was one of the most powerful witches in the family, but right now I felt completely useless.“What? What’s happened? Have you managed to steal the ring?” Max could walk in here at any time, so I had to be quick. Sophia was intelligent and she was always stuck in her bedroom, studying complicated spell books. She was the only one that I could rely on. “I showed up in the club, ignored him and before I know it we were having sex upstairs in his apartment. It was amazing that’s all I could remember. The rest of the night is a bit blurry,” I explained. “Tell me Soph, what the hell happened to my magic?” There was a silence on the other side of the phone. I got up and started pacing around. Maybe this was only temporary, and soon my magic would come back. “Did you see the ring?”“Yes, he was wearing it when we did it,” I muttered, annoyed that she didn’t understand how serious this situation was. “He must have stolen your powers, enslaved it to the ring when you two connected on the emotional level. This could only happen if there is strong physical attraction between two parties,” she explained, like she was citing from the spell book. Blood rushed to my ears, and suddenly I couldn’t breathe. “This is bullshit. No, I need my magic and that damn ring,” I said. “This wasn’t supposed to happen. Lucinda said that witches were immune to Incubus lust.” Maybe she lied, witches did lie to each from time to time. I wished that I was more prepared. “Hold on, I’ll see if there is a way to reverse the spell,” she said. My stomach was in knots. I needed to get the hell out off here, get back to the coven and figure out my next steps. My magic was my life. In the background I hear how Sophia was turning the pages of her book. I massaged my forehead, as the flashback of that night began moving in front of my eyes. Heat rushed down between my legs. God, this was pathetic. He wasn’t even here and I was getting turn on. No other human or a warlock had ever made me lose my head like that. “Oh dear ….” I heard on the other side of the phone. “What? What is it?” “It says here that you can break the spell only if the incubus will fall in love with you,” she read. I had to sit down, because my knees felt like paper all of a sudden. Sophia couldn’t have been serious. Maxwell Henderson wasn’t capable of loving anyone. He was a demon and he prayed on women lust. “Hey Loti? Are you still there?”

How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing?
I have been writing for about 5 years now. From my teens I had been saying that I was going to write a book on day. And during a summer break I was really bored, so I sat down and came up with idea for my first series The Whispers of the Sprite. Then I started doing research about self publishing and that’s how my journey began.
How did you come up with this storyline?
One of my street team members asked me to write the story about Incubus demon. I started researching and came up with the plot straight away.
What are the best and the worst aspects of writing?
I love plotting new stories, but truly detest editing.
What inspires you to write?
Everything around me, other books, films and dreams. I come up with new ideas all the time.
How did you conduct your research for Stolen Magic?
I have started reading legends about Incubus demon, magic and other mythological creatures from that era. I have the plot within an hour and then started creating my characters.
What are 3 of your favorite quotes from Stolen Magic?
I had been waiting for this moment since I was sixteen years old. My mother was part of the Fire Coven, my grandmother and great-grandmother too.
If Incubus demon looked at any human woman, she was his regardless.
“I’m in Maxwell Henderson’s bedroom. Just woke up and my magic is gone,” I hissed to the phone, completely freaked out.
Any more Favorites from Stolen Magic?
“It says here that you can break the spell only if the incubus will fall in love with you,” she read.
What would your friends say is your best quality?
Wide imagination
Are reader reviews important to you? Why?
Yes, reviews can help sell the book and more reviews get authors exposure to other book review sites, blogging communities, and book clubs.
What do you do when you don’t write? Like in “Real Life”
I take care of my daughter (she is 8 month old right now) and watch TV shows on netflix and read!
Tell us about your other books?
I write contemporary and paranormal romance. My latest series is about demons and royal family. The series is set in London. I have written over 20 novels in the past 5 years.

The "Whispers of the Sprite" is her first debut novel and she is currently working on the second book in the series. Joanna lives in Cowbridge, a small town in South Wales near Cardiff with her boyfriend Bruce. She enjoys cycling around Welsh countryside some of which has become the settings in her first series.

"When the Ileos clan invites shifter clans from the Firelands to watch their new leader take power, Maikel Argonis doesn’t have much choice but to attend. As second in line to the throne, his lack of interest for this kind of social function is not reason enough to stay home. His father, the king of the Firelands, rules over his sons with as firm a hand as he rules a realm where power-hungry shifters don’t hesitate to start wars.
The chore, however, takes an unexpected turn for Maikel when he meets Celly Ileos. Second-born like he is, quick-witted and rebellious, she captures both Maikel’s interest and his dragon’s—even though she’s a phoenix.
Celly doesn’t mind seeing her older brother take power like he was always destined to. However, she does mind that he’s already trying to use her as a pawn in his power games, intending to strengthen their clan through her marriage to one of his allies. Her heart is her own, and she wants to choose her own mate.
But if that mate happens to be a dragon prince, will she be strong enough to endure the fire of disapproval raging from his family and her own?"

She joined him and they stood together close to the edge, with nothing in front of them but thin air all the way down to a five hundred feet drop. It was a place and a view of which she’d never tire, and she often came here early in the morning to watch the sun soar above the horizon—and soar with it. Today, however, she found herself watching Maikel rather than the play of colors lighting up distant clouds.“What a wonderful place,” he murmured, his gaze sweeping the valley stretched down below them. “Perfect to take flight from, isn’t it?”He turned to her as he finished and something must have showed on her face because he quickly added, “Which is what you came here to do, I’m guessing.”She inclined her head.“Nothing better to clear my head than to jump and let myself fall a couple hundred feet before I let myself shift.”Maikel whistled softly.“I didn’t realize phoenixes enjoy this kind of thing.”She raised an eyebrow at him.“What kind of thing is that?”“Dangerous things. Like jumping from a cliff.”“And here I thought dragons were supposed to be impulsive creatures,” she teased. “Are you telling me you’re afraid of what I was doing when I wasn’t even ten years old?”Something shifted in his eyes, their dark auburn turning to gold for a split second, then to flames as brightly red as blood.“I didn’t say I was afraid,” he pointed out in a mild voice as he shrugged out of his jacket and dropped it to the ground.Next thing she knew, his shirt was already halfway unbuttoned and opening on a surprisingly tan and muscled chest.“What—what are you doing?” she stammered, forcing her eyes back up to his. Her cheeks were burning up all of a sudden.“Undressing,” he answered plainly. “So I don’t ruin my clothes when I shift and have to ride back to the fortress in the nude.”That image probably shouldn’t have been so appealing.“But…”Whatever protest she wanted to offer disappeared when he shrugged his shoulders and his shirt slid off, exposing the smooth expanse of his chest and gently rippled abs that made her fingers curl with the desire to touch them. Apparently, he was still doing ‘grunt work’ in his vineyard—another intriguing image. He started reaching for the fastenings of his pants and she hurriedly turned her back to him.“This doesn’t strike me as very appropriate,” she said, her words ending on a mortifying little squeak. The whisper of a zipper being pulled down seemed to fill the space between them.“Are you telling me you didn’t come here to shift? Because if that’s what you’re saying, we don’t believe you.”His word choice confirmed what she had started to suspect: his dragon was close, very close to the surface. She’d always heard that dragons were impulsive and quick to act when they felt threatened or insulted… it certainly appeared to be true. And if you’re saying part of you didn’t hope it’d end up this way, her phoenix supplied with a little laugh, I’m the one who won’t believe you. Why are you so flustered, girl? He’s undressing! Right beside me!The rustling sounds behind her were all she could hear. No, I think he’s naked by now. Don’t be such a prude, it’s not like you’ve never seen a man in the nude, whether it was a shifter before or after his shift, or a plain-blood human ready to get naughty with you. But maybe you’d prefer the latter? Will you shut up already? You’re supposed to be on my side! Not your side, darling. Ours.It wasn’t often that Celly’s phoenix exerted her will to control their shared body when they were in human form, and when she did it always took Celly by surprise to the point that she couldn’t stop her. The phoenix did that now, making her turn around even as running steps announced what Maikel was doing.Celly didn’t have time to see much more than a naked blur before he was leaping right over the cliff with a yell that sounded like pure exhilaration. She’d been here with a dozen different people over the years, and she’d come on her own on countless mornings. Whether someone jumped for the first time or the hundredth, even knowing that their phoenix was ready to take over long before they crashed, the instinctive fear never completely went away—but that was half the fun. Maikel seemed completely fearless.Without thinking, Celly stepped closer to the edge, where she’d be able to watch him go down. His body was spread out, arms and legs extended on either side of him as he faced down.Nice ass, her phoenix supplied, and Celly smiled. The next second, her mouth fell open and she gaped. She’d watched dozens of phoenixes shift, and she knew intimately what it felt like to do so, both when standing on firm ground or when tumbling in the air, an illusion of flight without wings. Phoenixes were long and lithe, with powerful wings and five oversized feathers for a tail. A shifter taking their phoenix form had always looked to her like golden fire rippling through a human body and exploding outward into new, feathery limbs, a process as elegant as it was quick. She’d seen dragons fly before, but she’d never seen one shift. She’d imagined it would look the same, just with a different shape, and in a way it was. At the same time, though, it felt entirely different. Maybe because dragons were almost twice as massive as phoenixes, or maybe because she wasn’t as familiar with their shape, the shifting seemed to happen in slow motion.Maikel’s skin, already so far down below, darkened gradually until wings shot out of his back fully formed, while the rest of his body was still human. They spread out and hid part of him even as the shifting continued, limbs, body and head morphing into the imposing yet still elegant lines of a dragon. There was a moment when his wings folded and he tilted forward, head first into the dive. Celly couldn’t suppress a gasp, suddenly sure that something must have gone wrong. She gasped again, this time in awe, as his wings extended and he veered in a fluid movement, following one of the strong winds that played along the cliff to stop his descent and glide back upward. It had taken him long seconds to fall halfway down the cliff, but in the blink of an eye he was back at her level. She could have sworn one of his blood-red eyes winked at her before he dived back into the valley with a roar that would have been frightening had it not sounded like sheer delight. He’d been so close she could almost have touched him if she’d only extended her hand, and while she hadn’t she could imagine the texture of his hide under her tingling fingertips. Leathery but smooth, warm from the heat of his blood, slick… It had seemed black when he’d first shifted, but from up close his coloring was more charcoal that pure black, with splatters of white and gray dots like freckles on his wings, his back, his underside. He twirled and dropped down into the valley, occasionally beating his large wings once or twice but for the most part following the wind currents, before coming back to where she stood. He hovered there, close enough that the horses a few paces behind her, as accustomed as they were to being around winged beasts larger than they were, neighed unhappily and struck the ground with their hooves. If that’s not an invitation to join him, her phoenix said, I’ll eat my own tail. What are you waiting for?

Hello and thank you so much for having me for a little chat today! Here’s hoping I don’t start rambling too much… I’m wrangling my toddler as I do this interview and she can be a handful!
How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing? The reason I became a writer – that is, wrote an entire story and shared it with readers – was because of boredom. Not too glamorous, I know! I wrote my first novella in middle school. We had 'study' classes in which we were supposed to just sit quietly and work on homework or study, but I always finished my work early and would get bored out of my mind. One day I brought a new notebook to school and started inventing a story... and another, and another after that. When I moved to the United States in 2001, everything felt so strange and new, I stopped writing for a while. When I started again about a year later, it was, for the first time, in English. The change was brutal and the learning curve pretty stiff… but after a few years, I started putting ‘writer’ on the occupation line when doing my taxes and it felt pretty special.
How did you come up with the storyline for Mated?I was just finishing a different story which is set in the Fated & Forbidden series, a universe shared by 11 authors, and my mind was drifting over the ‘forbidden’ aspect of love, and how long writers have played with that storyline. Romeo and Juliet were hardly the first! Also I’d been wanting to write a shifter story for a while and couldn’t decide between phoenix and dragon. The two thoughts combined… forbidden love between dragon and phoenix shifters… now I just had to figure out who my characters were!
How did you figure it out? Do the characters ‘live’ with you as you write?Absolutely. When I get the idea for a story and start thinking of the characters, they take a life of their own and play out the story in my mind, the same scene repeated a dozen times until each word or action is just right. Writing is the only way to get them to quiet down and move on… to the next scene!
What inspires you to write? Just about anything, really. I never know where my muse will look next to plot a new story. Let me think...
One of my vampire BDSM series (Carte Blanche and its sequels) was inspired by a real-life Domme whom I knew online and got to chat with face to face once. I was very proud that she gave the story her seal of approval.
My Ward of the Vampire serial came from a chat I had with a friend. She was bemoaning the 'billionaire boyfriend' trend and saying she had no interest in writing such a story but wished she could so she could get on the bandwagon. I told her to just write her thing and find her readers that way, and joked that I'd never write for that trend either. My muse took that as a challenge and within a few months I had 140,000 words of it...
My On The Edge series came from one throwaway line in another book. I'd mentioned this vampire friendly club, its human owner and his vampire lovers, and suddenly I had to tell their story...I have a YA shifter story with my other pen name (Beneath the Twin Moons of Haldae) that came from an article I read about a newly discovered tribe in the Amazon who'd never been in contact with 'civilization' before. The moment I finished the article I had the whole plot in my mind.
What is the hardest part of creating a book? For me, it’s definitely the promoting part. Ask me to write or rewrite and I’ll be happily typing away all day – and night – long. Ask me to toot my own horn and tell people why my stories are worth reading, and I freeze. Not that I don’t think they are worth reading; I just wasn’t raised into thinking my own accomplishments are something I ought to talk about. Just doing this interview is a painful process… but don’t worry, I’ll survive!
What are 3 of your favorite quotes from Mated? Argh! You’re asking me to pick my favorite child! (If, you know, I had more than one!)All right, let me try…
Should I? she whispered in her own mind. If it comes out that I’ve been flying with a dragon…What’s the worst that could happen? Your mother will be disappointed? Your brother will try to marry you off to the first phoenix who so much as expresses an interest in you? Nothing new, then.*** Yes, I suppose she is rather pretty, for a human.*** And you don’t mind that he is a dragon? He can’t help what he is, her phoenix said. Why should I blame him for what is not his fault?
What would your friends say is your best quality? Probably that I’m loyal. When I make a friend, it’s for life. I’m still in touch with my very first real friend, Dje, whom I met when we were 6 and who lives in France.
Are reader reviews important to you? Why?Yes and no. Yes because it’s always interesting to see what readers enjoyed (or didn’t like…) in a story – and because, for better or for worse, reviews are an important part of promotion. No because when I read a review I always want to engage the reader in a dialogue about it, see what they thought about this other bit or that other thing, but I’ve always been told it’s a big no-no.
What do you do when you don’t write? Like in “Real Life”You mean other than wrangling Baby, taking her to the museum, the zoo, the parc, the pool, and indoor and outdoor playgrounds? *grins* Well I do enjoy quilting a lot. I make a lot of lap-sized quilts because they’re fairly quick to make on my little machine. I even gave one in a reader giveaway last year… I might have to do it again this year!
Tell us about your other books? Another ‘pick your favorite child’ question! My backlist is growing so long, I’ve even lost count of how many books I actually have for sale. Most of what I’ve written to date was about vampires and/or magic. My last two releases were about magic – Blood Moon, in the Fated & Forbidden series I mentioned earlier, is about two power-wielding lovers who reunite after centuries of estrangement. Love & Magic is a box set of 3 short stories that are male/male relationships revolving around magic. The release before that was Switching Sides, a BDSM vampire short that’s a sequel to the Domme novel I told you about earlier.M/F, M/M, ménages; sweet stories, sexy ones, kinky ones; short stories, novellas, novels, long novels; standalone, series… You name it, I’ve probably written it!
If you read through this entire thing… thank you! Have a gold star… oh wait, Baby took all my gold stars! How about a freebie instead? I find the best way to introduce myself to readers is to offer them something to read. I have several freebies on the major ebook stores, and extra ones available through my newsletter. Feel free to come and say hi!

Dahlia was enjoying her life, balancing her time between the animal rescue shelter she owned with her best friend, and the local Circle of witches. But there’s something lurking in the woods, townsfolk are leaving in droves, and now Dahlia feels like she’s being hunted. Her life is flipped upside down in a matter of hours as she discovers a new manifestation of her powers, a cocky stranger with shape shifting abilities throws himself in her path, and she comes face to face with true evil.
Will her new power be enough to help destroy the enemy? Can she find the answers in the mysterious books left to her by her witch grandmother? And should she follow her attraction for the new guy, or will it all end in disaster?

Liam sat at her kitchen table with his feet propped on another chair. Ravenna paced between the two long benches. Dahlia sat on the floor, leaning against the wall with her knees to her chest and her face in her hands, gripping her hair so tight her face was beginning to go numb. She knew magic was real; hell, she lived and breathed it every single day. But Hell? Demons? And witches with the power to change form, witches like Liam? It was too much to take in. The clock chimed, announcing the time was now seven o’clock. They’d been talking for an hour and a half, Liam telling them his story while Ravenna tried to rebuke it as nothing more than fantasy. Dahlia hadn’t spoken a word as conflicting emotions and thoughts warred inside her. The rational part of her that her staunch atheist parents had tried to hammer into her cried out against what Liam was saying. Not possible! He’s lying! But the part of her that always came through, the witch she’d always been, much to the pain of her parents and the joy of her grandmother, that part knew that what he was saying was truth. Too many strange things had happened in this town for her to not believe it. “If what you’re saying is true,” Ravenna’s voice interrupted her inner storm, “then why have we never seen anything like this before?”“I think we have, Ravenna. We just didn’t realize it, didn’t want to believe.” Dahlia raised her head and stared at the woman she’d been friends with since they were crawling. “There has always been something strange about this town. Most of the people here are regular, every day humans, yes. But there’s something here that calls to us witches.”“That’s one thing, Dahlia. But Liam is talking about mythical beasts. Hell beasts, no less! What’s next, dragons?”“Actually-” Liam raised his hand to interject.“Oh no, dog boy, you are not telling me that dragons exist! My head can’t take it.”“Ravenna, come on. How else do you explain those odd screeches we used to hear in the forest when we went camping? And there is no way the flapping of leathery wings that we heard belonged to bats. They don’t get that big.” Dahlia hesitated, and as a new thought hit her, her eyes widened. She looked at Liam, almost afraid of the answer. “They don’t, do they? Giant bats aren’t real, right?”“Giant bats aren’t real, no. Don’t worry about that, love. Dragons, though…”Dahlia shook her head in disbelief. “They’re no bigger than an average sized car and they don’t breathe fire. At least not all of them.” Ravenna glared at him. “Not unless they’re backed into a corner. Really, they’re no harm unless they’re frightened, I promise.”Dahlia dropped her head on to her knees and moaned. “This can’t be happening. I must be dreaming. I’m still at the shelter, in the courtyard having my break. I’ve fallen asleep and I’m dreaming. That’s it. This is all just a dream I’m going to wake up from any minute now. Ow!” She lifted her head. “What was that for?”Liam was crouched in front of her, his fingers still poised above a now red and tender spot on her arm. “You’re awake, love. No amount of pinching will change that. This is all real.”“We have to call the Circle. They need to be informed and allowed to make the choice to decide if they want to stay and fight, or flee and be safe.”“You’re saying you believe me now?” Liam lowered himself to the floor next to Dahlia. Ravenna pursed her lips. “I don’t want to. But Dahlia is right. We’ve always known there has been something else out there. If this hell beast you’ve been chasing has really come to town, we need to stop it.”“How?” Dahlia barely recognized her own voice, as soft and raspy as it was.Her best friend sighed and shrugged. “That I don’t know. That’s why we need the Circle. Hopefully, with those who choose to stay, we’ll be able to find a solution.”Liam slapped his knee, and Dahlia couldn’t help but think of an oversized leprechaun, he looked so gleeful.“Well that’s settled then. Let’s get this Circle around and hatch out a plan.”“Not so fast, dog boy. They don’t trust outsiders. We need to talk to them first. They’re expecting to meet us in the forest in an hour.”“They can’t go into the forest. They’ll be easy prey there.”“Ravenna, we have to call them and get every one of them here.” “Right. Guess we’d better grab our cell phones then and start dialing.”Dahlia closed her eyes and uttered a prayer to the Goddess. Please don’t let us miss any of them. Please see that all our witches arrive here safely!

Howdy from Down Under! I’m Paranormal author Phoenix Johnson, so excited to be here, though I’m not great at talking about myself. So if I wonder off on a tangent, don’t mind me, I’ll get back on track eventually, and if not, just click your fingers, I’ll come back!
How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing? I’ve been a writer on and off since I was a little kid, though I had drifted away from writing for a few years. I returned to writing in 2010, before publishing my debut novella in 2013 through Naughty Nights Press. I’ve always loved reading. The ability to create new worlds and people was exciting, so it seemed only natural that I try my hand at creating my own.
How did you come up with this storyline? I was originally writing this for another group project, but stress got the better of me and I had to withdraw. It seemed a perfect fit in this set, so I gleefully completed it, excited to delve in to a tale with demons, witches and shifters, 3 of my favourite paranormal creatures.
What are the best and the worst aspects of writing? The worst aspect, for me, is being at mercy of my fickle muse. I have so many ideas, but my muse is so fickle! I’m hoping to whip her in to action this year, though. My favourite aspect, though, is definitely a tie between the thrill of building worlds and characters, and the joy of new readers letting me know they enjoy the worlds and characters I write about. It never gets old to be told others love them as much as I do.
What inspires you to write? To be honest, I don’t have a single thing, which makes it frustrating sometimes. It can be as simple as a beat or line of a song, or as convoluted as a scene in a book combined with a line from a tv show or movie and a whimsical thought as I drift off to sleep. I take my inspiration where I can get it.
How did you conduct your research for The Demon, The Witch and The Firebird?A lot of it is purely fictional, or came from my own interest and experience with witches, both in fiction and those I know who hold the Wiccan faith. I did, however, have a search on names databases for names of characters, as well as a search for deities suitable to aid in the myth of the Firebird. I don’t want to give too much away, though.
What are 3 of your favorite quotes from The Demon, The Witch and The Firebird? “Oh no, dog boy, you are not telling me that dragons exist! My head can’t take it.” (Ravenna speaking to Liam)
Right now, however, her rational mind simply shrugged its shoulders, as if to say Girl, you were just thinking about his maleness, so don’t even think of using me as an excuse. (Dahlia and her inner voice)
Dahlia thought back to one of her Gamma’s stories about the strength of family, a bond made not just from blood, but by choice of one’s heart. (Something we can all learn from. Something I know from experience)
Any more Favorites from The Demon, The Witch and The Firebird: “Well? Are you going to join me for a shower, where I promise I will tell you about a goddess long thought to be myth, or are you going to become a rather tall garden gnome? Because I have to be honest, I hate garden gnomes.” (Dahlia to Liam)
What would your friends say is your best quality? I think that would probably be the fact that I listen and don’t judge. I’m always happy to listen when my friends have a problem, and will offer advice if they want it, without making them feel judged. That’s not what I’m there for. I’m there to listen and help.
Are reader reviews important to you? Why?They are important to me. Not because of ego or such. I use reviews as a way to learn what the readers want, what they like and dislike, and to always keep improving. Reviews can be a great source of feedback.
What do you do when you don’t write? Like in “Real Life”When I’m not writing, it’s safe to assume I’m doing something nerdy, whether it be reading or watching a movie or tv show. I do however enjoy going to the gym, as much as I hurt afterwards. And when I do have some extra cash, I love getting new tattoos. I enjoy the sensation. Of course, this is all between family time, which includes the furry and slithery members (1 cat, 2 dogs, 3 snakes).
Tell us about your other books? I tend to focus on the paranormal, which is pretty clear with werewolves, vampires, shifters and witches. Not that there is anything wrong with that, of course. My Wolf Smitten trilogy is a sweet tale of two neighbors finding each other and overcoming some pretty big disasters, two of which includes exes coming back to haunt them! The Return of Their Master is about 4 Vampire sisters making a life for themselves until their disease-crazed creator, Vitalis, tracks them down and threatens their very existence. Persephone is a sweet fantasy that has similar starting tones to Beauty and The Beast, but doesn’t take long to swing to its own path of Angels, Earth Mages, and Witches both Dark and Light. Then there is Kitune’s Raven, a shifter trilogy based in Japan between two warring families. Yes, it may sound like Romeo and Juliet at first, but I promise you there are no teenage hormones that get other people killed. Just two lovers determined to bring peace to their clans. I’m working on The Dark Winter now, and it will be completed with Sakura’s Homecoming.
If you could share one thing about yourself that you would like readers to know what would it be? I think it’s pretty obvious that I’m a huge nerd. (I know, I know, the technical term is geek, but since I am actually pretty smart as well, as far as I’m concerned, I get to choose which I prefer.) I love Tolkien, Whedon and Rowling, I’m slightly (giggle) obsessed with Supernatural, I ship HarleyPool, and frankly, I need to meet such pop culture icons as John Barrowman, Joss Whedon, Robert Downey Jr (RDJ is the only Sherlock for me!), Summer Glau and Alyson Hannigan. Of course the list is much longer than that, but I would geek the F out meeting any of them. It is my goal to at least meet 10 of my geek heroes and heroines!
I am one of those who actually struggle to talk about themselves, so while I probably do have a lot more I could say, I’m drawing a blank so I should scoot before I start babbling. I come up with some pretty strange things once I start babbling, it’s actually pretty ridiculous, and even my inner voice is wondering what the heck I’m talking about and how I got on to that topic. What was I saying? Ummm… Hmmm… *wanders off to chase the fairies*Oh, right! I hope you’ve learned some interesting and new things about me! And I can’t wait to start seeing reviews about this awesome boxset!

She wandered away from writing for a few years, but was soon encouraged to return and, within months of picking up the proverbial pen, Phoenix’ first story, The Wolf In The Neighborhood, was accepted for publication by Naughty Nights Press. While working on the rest of the Wolf Smitten Trilogy, Phoenix decided to take on a university degree, and is now in the final stretch of her Bachelor of Art’s degree in Professional Writing and Publishing, with plans to continue on to her Master’s degree.
In early 2015, Phoenix was thrilled to discover she’d made two Top 5 lists with three entries in the Easychair Bookstore Awards. In June, it was announced she had placed first in Best Paranormal with Once Bitten Twice Shy, the second installment in her Wolf Smitten Trilogy, while The Wolf In The Neighborhood and Wolf Smitten placed third in their respective categories of Best Paranormal and Best Series.
With her inclusion in the Alphas on the Prowl Box Set in 2015, Phoenix hit the top 100 bestsellers lists across numerous distributors, number 1 bestseller on several Amazon lists, and this was quickly followed by the announcement of her achievement of number 1 bestseller for her publisher, Naughty Nights Press, for the full year of 2015. The awards and achievements have only served to strengthen her ambitions, and she is now aiming at reaching the bestseller lists for USA Today and New York Times.
While 2016 was a quiet year for her as she finished her Bachelor of Arts degree, Phoenix is diving in to 2017 headfirst and is excited to see what the year holds for her, both in her personal life as well as her professional writing career.

The Jaguar's Consort by Aliyah BurkeUSA Today Bestselling and Award Winning AuthorSometimes you're more than just a mate...

The Jaguar's Consort
by
Aliyah Burke
USA Today Bestselling and Award Winning Author@AliyahBurke96

Lando Vargas has known since he was a boy who his mate is to be and he waited for her to grow up. While Selena Rowe remembers the boy he was, she's unsure about what he's telling her in regards to their future together. In fact, what he's talking about has just been fairytales in her mind.
He convinces her to come for a visit in Brazil, with her friends, to give him a chance to prove it all. She won't deny the intense physical attraction between them, however, she doesn't want to give up her own life. What will it take for her to accept her role as the jaguar's consort?

She yawned. “I swear I just went to bed. So, what is it that has you here at my door three times in less than a day. It can’t be my parents they’re…” She cleared her throat. “…Not on this continent.”Her pulse kicked up and he couldn’t miss the tinge of anger lining her tone. Interesting. A mystery to solve later on for sure. “I told you. I came here for you.”“And I’m pretty sure I told you that makes you sound stalkerish. So since I’m exhausted and have a busy day today, you tell me and move along, so I can start my day way earlier than I had intended.”“Sarcasm is sexy on you.”She blinked twice and rolled her eyes. “You have sixty seconds to start talking.”“What happened to the happy woman who was here last night?” His palms itched to touch her again. Appease that hunger within him.“She has a hangover and is exhausted. But hey, let’s expect me to be cheerful.”“Perhaps you should eat something.”“I had planned on it. You know, when I woke up hours from now.”“I’ll make you something.” He moved to her kitchen, shrugging out of his jacket and laying it over the back of a chair. “Give me a few minutes.” Lando had no problem cooking for her. Hell, he’d be fine taking care of her for the rest of their lives. She just had to come with him back to Brazil.“Of course,” she stated drily. “I’m so used to hot men walking into my place and offering to cook me breakfast.”He paused in his search of her fridge. Angling his head, so he could meet her eyes, he cocked an eyebrow. “Hot? Glad you think so.”“Of course, that’s what you would pick out of that statement.”“It’s the most important.”She smiled, eliciting another purr from his beast. And himself.Selena tugged up the shoulder on her shirt, covering the bared skin as she made her way to one of the chairs around the kitchen table. “What is it I can do for you, Mr. Vargas?”“You have nothing in here,” he said, not answering her question. “Why don’t you have food in your fridge?”“I just got back from a trip and haven’t been shopping.”Okay, she had a valid point. The scrape of her chair was his only warning she’d moved close. When he turned, she was there. Right up against him. Tempting him. Daring him. Gods help him, he wanted nothing more than to sink his hands in her curls, haul her close and kiss her. When she was putty in his arms, he wanted to strip her clothing, and lick her from top to bottom. For starters.“I’ve not seen you in years. Why are you here?”“I came to bring you home.”“I am home. This is where I live. This is where I work.”
“But not where you belong.” He cupped the back of her neck, the connection of their skin awaking everything within him. The electricity flowed from her to him and back again. “You know I’m right. You feel it, with nothing more than a simple touch to your neck. The urge, the need for more. To take off your clothes and rub against me.” He lowered his head, so it nearly touched hers.

How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing?I’ve been writing for over ten years now. For me it began in college when the voices wouldn’t shut up in my head. They were driving me to distraction and it was hard to focus on my major until I gave them their own attention. Now they just demand all the time *grin*
How did you come up with this storyline? Not really sure, the story took me on the journey. I’m a pantzer for sure. I don’t plot out my stories, they take me where they want to go. Since it was a short (at least for me) it was a bit harder and I had to do a bit more reining in however, when I was first thinking about it, they were going to end up in the States. That didn’t happen.
What are the best and the worst aspects of writing? For me the worst would be my nerves on release day. I’ve done a bunch of releases and I’m still horribly nervous as I was for my first one. I’m back to that “Oh this is nothing but crap” feeling and it doesn’t go away for a while. The best, easy, I get to play in worlds that are far from reality as I want them to be. I’m surrounded by happily every afters. And to me, especially now in this day and age, it’s much more pleasant for me to be there.
What inspires you to write?I guess I don’t think of it as being inspired, the world is full of storylines if you take the time to look around you. It’s a need for me, if that makes sense, it calms me down, putting words to paper, and yes, I still use a notebook and pen. Happily. Some I put directly into the computer but most of my books I hand write first. It’s soothing, to create.
How did you conduct your research for **The Jaguar's Consort**?For The Jaguar’s Consort, I spent some time researching extinct big cats, jaguars and leopards more precisely. Found the region I wanted my book around, given I knew how the hero and heroine met, then branched out from there.
What are 3 of your favorite quotes from **The Jaguar's Consort**?“One…by your answer just now and two, you seem a bit too untamed to be from Miami.”***Lando licked his lips and counted down the seconds until he could lick hers.*** Do people call the men in the little ‘I love myself’ coats when you tell them this line?*** Yes, these would be three of my faves. I had a lot of fun writing this book.
What would your friends say is your best quality? Can’t speak for my friends, but I would hope it was that I’m there for them whenever they need me.
Are reader reviews important to you? Why?Of course, reviews (constructive ones) can provide us with insight on how people are taking our creations. I appreciate each and every person who leaves one for my stories.
What do you do when you don’t write? Like in “Real Life” Real life? I work about 60hrs a week outside the house as well. We have dogs that I race, course, and show. We also do therapy work so typically once a week or so I have a dog at a hospital, school, hospice, or something of the sort. We’ve also done private visits to homebound people. Oh, and I try to read. Like this year, I took the Goodreads challenge and said I could do 100 books this year. Gonna be interesting but I’m determined.
Tell us about your other books?I write across genres, historical, paranormal, and contemporary. Most of my books are interracial/multicultural and tend to have some aspect of military in them. They all don’t but it is one of my favorite things to write about, military.
If you could share one thing about yourself that you would like readers to know what would it be?While I am horribly shy I love talking/emailing with readers. I will answer each email personally, and it may take me a bit longer than those who have PA’s but I feel it’s important for that to be a personal touch that doesn’t go away.
Thank you so much for hanging out with me today! I had a lovely time. Thank you for the support of my writing.Happy reading y’all!~Aliyah Burke

She is married to a career military man. They are happily owned by four Borzoi. She spends her days sharing time between work, writing, and dog training.

Verité, heir apparent in royal lineage and whose ascension comes at a time of other impending stipulations, was unable until to assume her rite of passage to the throne until she found the perfect mate. Secret stipulations to her royal ascension detailed in the Royal Grail would only be revealed to the Princess when the time came. She was chartered by her father, who was unable to give Verité counsel, to find the man that would share her life, her future and her bed…but not the throne.Failure to do so doomed the coterie.Rockledge, a prince and royal protector of his father, the King and his older brother who was heir apparent, fought with strength against those that threatened silently to take everything by deceit and trickery from his family.Verité woke in the blazing sun on the royal sands of the beach on a distant shore that Rockledge, who discovered her sleeping, protected.I was born when we kissed; I lived in your embrace while we loved. I died when we parted.Would they fight, side-by-side, to the death defending all that they loved and cherished? Or would they seize their rite of passage, rise to the ascension of royalty themselves bound by danger, loyalty and love?

“This is yours to determine, my child. But, I have faith in the stellar qualities you possess and your teaching. You have studied hard, learned long and steady. And above all other, you place the wellbeing of the coterie. We must prevail to propagate. We must do our duty to protect our cluster clan.”“Yes, Father, I have always known that if I must pay with my life to preserve the dominion, then I would be so directed to fight to the death.”“This is that time.”Involuntarily, I rose to my feet with the dust devils dancing in the sunbeams. My head remained downcast. This was a solemn occasion, no doubt.“Yes, Royal Father.”I lifted my gaze as I said his name and locked my eyes on his. “I know only little, from the history the Queen Mother imparted to me when you were born, that you must travel from here to find your mate before you are in the Worthy Year of your life. This mate must be a mortal and prepared to live in your company here, so that the propagation of our family will continue.”“But, Father…!”“The clan will die out without the integration of seed from a royal mortal.”“Alas, my father…”“This is how it must be. We are, none of us, able to sire your heirs. Over time, our seed loses the power to procreate and every one hundred years, new blood and semen must be filtered into the children that follow.”“Oh, Goddess above. Where will I go? When…?”“Soon, my child, soon.”“How will I know, my father?”“You will know, my child. Of this I am certain. Every female before you has prevailed to achieve their destiny. They return to fulfill their duties with a chosen mate. And life prevails again.”“You must leave and return with your mate before your twentieth year.”“But, Father, I am not yet eighteen. Why tell me now, when there is still so much time?”“Because there is actually very little time. The alchemist has determined that I have few years left and you must be prepared almost immediately to assume supremacy.”“Father, when…how…this is all too much!”“Comport yourself with dignity, Verité. This is your destiny for which you have trained all your life. You are strong, independent, fierce. You are creative and fast, smart as any that have ruled before you. I have raised you as I would have my sons, had they lived. Now you must live for us all. You must be your woman, secure your mate, and return to become Queen Mother.”

Who is Muffy Wilson in her own words?I am a wife, mother, daughter and sister first and an author of provocative romance about love, sex, hope and passion second. I was born in Texas to traditional parents. With two older brothers, I was the youngest, the family "princess," indulged and pampered. My father was a career Colonel and pilot in the U.S. Air Force which required our family to travel extensively. I spent her formative years in Europe and 'came of age' in France (a state of affairs that gave my father much cause for concern one loooong summer on the Italian Riviera!) which forged my joie de vivre and love for books, writing and education. ~ Live, Laugh, Love with Passion
What is one thing you would like the world to remember you for?I am a simple person. I would like to be remembered as a good person, loving wife and nurturing mother. I never met a stranger nor turned anyone away that needed help. And I have tried hard to learn from my mistakes but I am not always successful in that endeavor!
What got you into writing? An old boyfriend from high school. We reconnected after all these years and he writes real estate self-help books. I took a significant departure from self-help to provocative romance.
Are you a full-time author or do you have a day job as well, and if so, what do you do?When I first started writing fiction in 2010, I was still working as a General Showroom Manager for Ethan Allan and then Robb & Stucky, both high-end furniture companies. I entered the world of real estate sales as well, but I have since retired and devote most of my free time to writing and anything that will keep me from doing any housework!!
You’ve written a lot of other books. Is Erotica the only genre you write in? And if yes, how do you keep doing it? I got bored after one book… How often do you need to take masturbation breaks (if any)? OMG, that was funny! You surprised me with that one!! Actually, in the beginning most of what I wrote was short stories and I took plenty of masturbation breaks! Now my books are more story than sexual content. I get bored with the repetition and in truth, our lives do not revolve around sex but are complimented by it. What is more important is the human bondage that precedes a sexual liaison that I find most interesting. Like you, I have branched out but sex is still a fundamental part of the human condition after all, people are enigmas.
Finally, what can we expect and look forward from you in the future? Plug away…Last year was a very busy year from me. I worked very hard and produced a number of wonderful stories I was honored to have featured in several collections. I wrote several standalone features and a few series. Much of my new work has been a real leap of faith for me into the Paranormal and Sci-Fi-Shape Shifter genre. It has been fun and a real stretch for me. 2017 will prove to be an even bigger year for me as I have six books and collections releasing in the first six months. So, there will be plenty to look forward to in 2017.Check out my Amazon Author Page, Goodreads or my website. Thank you so much for having me visit. This has been one of the most interesting interviews I think I have ever done! And fun, too. I so appreciate your thought provoking questions. Clearly you have read my work and you know how important that is to an author, that someone actually picks up our hard work and sits down to read it. It doesn’t get any better’n that!Blessings from Florida

What do you get when you combine an arch mage and elemental witches? Immortal Alchemy.
Sophie has met the man of her dreams. The trouble is her mother saw him first. Pan’s choice blasts the fragile balance and collateral damage is imminent. Can anyone survive unscathed when one of them is playing dirty? One mage, two witches...three's a mess.

Without warning he was clear to her. It had been some time past, but her mind had pulled a powerful memory to armor her. She could feel his handprints melting into her skull and her body engulfed in an inferno as he had stolen kisses and held her to the hard length of his body. She remembered laughing that he hadn’t stolen what she had freely given, and would give again. Her insides winding tighter and tighter, much like her auburn hair in her mother’s hands, she had been so taut that one pluck would have shattered her. She remembered vividly the breathlessness, his and hers, when they had broken from kissing, and the near jump to surrender air again for more. Her heart had thundered like a heard of stallions across the meadow and she was sure then that everyone must have felt the force of her passion. Still seated under the waterfall now, she could again feel the pounding of her heart against her throat and wrists, as well as other places that had seldom carried so robust a rhythm. Sophie ached. The incessant beating of her need, once again unreleased, made her decision. The next time she saw Pan there would be no warning, there would be no hesitation. When she found Pan, she would do what she should have done before leaving the glen earlier…consummate their relationship and bind him to her forever. If she hadn’t been so selfish then, she could easily follow his blood and find him now. She would not repeat that mistake. Pankratios was hers and it was high time everyone knew it.

Good Morning! Even if it isn’t, I always say “Good Morning” to try to start on an up. And no, I’m not even close to a morning person…I just like the idea of a positive beginning. My name is Savannah. For those who don’t know me, I call myself a Contemporary Vagabond. I love the nature of stories and storytelling. I can’t quite grasp the notion of limiting myself to a single genre or style. So, if there’s a story in me that needs telling, I’ll tell it. I love the diversity and it keeps me motivated.
How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing? I started writing in High School, so…thirty some years ago. Initially it was for a class, but I found I enjoyed writing when it wasn’t for class better, even if it was only for me.
How did you come up with this storyline? I’ve been playing with a couple of these characters for a while now. When this set came up, it was a matter of adapting them to fit… The idea that things are not always as they appear kept popping up in my head which filled in the pieces of what was going to happen. I’m actually developing other stories from this character set for the future, though I’m not sure who is going to come out next.
What are the best and the worst aspects of writing? The best for me is the sense of cathartic release. When I have something in my head, it encompasses everything, even my sleep, until I can get it to paper. There is an addictive element to creating. It never ebbs, only redirects to the next piece…I’m a junkie.Worst? Detours. I’m a die-hard plotter. When a storyline tangents, it takes a force of will to get back on track. If, I have managed not to shred my plot board and start over. I can clearly see the story one day, and by the time I’ve slept, I could have a different idea. Staying on point with where I landed in outline is tough. I always think I can do more or better.
What inspires you to write? I remember being enraptured as a child listening to my granddad tell stories at the table. We’d sit for hours as he told about his youth. Some of them were so far -fetched and ludicrous, I remember thinking they couldn’t possibly be real…they were too magical. I wanted to be able to do that…to share a story that someone else could read or hear and be somewhere else in their mind. To me, it was, and still is, and amazing thing.
How did you conduct your research for Immortal Alchemy? Immortal Alchemy is a complete work of fiction. I really didn’t need to research per se. The elements of the practice that are included are things I included from my personal experience as a Pagan.
What are 3 of your favorite quotes from Immortal Alchemy?Three favorite lines might be easier than straight quotes… 1- Pan cupped her hand to his cheek before moving it lower to rest at the junction of his thighs. “I’m afraid my sweet little witch that wisdom is not part of my thought process.” 2- …the inferno he released had done little more than to engulf him in immense heat and massive blue blazes that left his eyebrows smoking upon his return to form.
3- “You can explain to me later why you cannot tell the difference between me and my mother Pankratios.”
What would your friends say is your best quality? My best quality is also my nemesis. I don’t know how to quit. I am fierce and unrelenting in my pursuits…to my own detrement. I think you have to have that intensity and passion to be a writer. It means however, that my plate is usually spilling over.
Are reader reviews important to you? Why?I think reader feedback is more important to me than the actual ‘review’ structure. Reviews to me are formulaic and seem to be either spoiler laden to inform others, or become too generalized. I want to hear from readers what works and doesn’t for them in the story, what did they identify with or not, where did I lose them if that happened…Yes, did you like it is good to know, but I want more than that…I want to know why? I want to understand if I’m creating the mental escape that I craved when I heard stories growing up. Did you throw the book at the wall? Did you warp the pages with tears? Did you laugh out loud remembering a one liner long after you finished? Did it resonate?Reviews, at least a great number I’ve seen, don’t tell the writer if the person got more than the story…and to me that’s the goal. I want to know that they felt the angst, or the excitement…that they identified with the character, the scene, or the message…not just read the words on the page and went, ‘good job.’Maybe that’s not the point of reviews…but it’s my answer. I want reading to be an experience, and I LOVE talking to readers live and in message about my work to know it I’m getting them there. It’s a big part of why I keep writing and trying new genres. I’ll gladly fail-forward forever to be better than I was yesterday.
What do you do when you don’t write? Like in “Real Life” In real life I’m many things. I’m a mother, wife, & daughter. I’m a publisher. I’m also an Operational Manager & Federal Compliance Officer for what used to be a consolidator, but now is the largest provider of Funeral and Cemetery services in the world.
Tell us about your other books? As I mentioned, I’m a Vagabond. I have several titles out or coming out…Viva Zapata & the Magic 8-Ball is a Contemporary Women’s Fiction title about four women finding friendship, their paths & tribe on a girl’s weekend in Vegas.Kingdoms Fall is a Paranormal Fantasy that I co-wrote with another author from my house, the third in The Vengelys Series, where the families learn who they are fighting and what needs to be done to reclaim their world.Book of Time & Book of Change are the first 2 of 5 titles in The Custos series about a book that contains the history of the world, past-present-& future in it, and the battle between two opposing forces to protect it or to use it to change the world. They are Urban Fantasy Suspense stories. (Book of Mysteries, book 3 – is due mid-summer 2017)C.A.S.E. Revelations is a Dystopian piece about the struggle to survive and stay sane after an EMP takes out the electrical grid and disables technology, leaving the country in darkness, literal and informational. (March 2017)Immortal Deflagration is part of the Sultry & Sinful Femmes of Paranormal box set. The short story is about the discovery relationship between two women. It has characters from Immortal Alchemy and is set in the same world. (April 2017)Ella’s Cinder- Rags to Riches in Reverse, is an alternate fairytale (scary-tale) telling of the Cinderella fable where for Cinderella to get her HEA, another must lose everything to maintain the balance. (May 2017) If you could share one thing about yourself that you would like readers to know what would it be? I have awesome resting bitch face. I am always listening and processing information as I try to learn something new every day. And, I have a ridiculous memory…I keep thinking I’ll be full soon and won’t, but if you ask my closest friends…it hasn’t happened yet. It’s annoying. Which, is kind of 3 things…but the resting bitch face is a product of the others.
Thanks for checking me out. I do love to hear from readers, so hit me up! I’m not always fast, but I do reply. Til next time…see you on the pages! Sav

Changes by Angelica DawsonInternational Bestselling and Award Winning AuthorBorn in the wrong body? How about a new one?

Angelica DawsonInternational Bestselling and Award Winning Author
@AngelicaDawson

As a transgender woman, Jacqueline has never felt quite right in her body. Concocting a hormone supplement to assist in her transition, she unwittingly unleashes her hidden half: the curvy, beautiful, Heidi. Heidi is perfectly feminine, everything Jacqueline wished she could be, except for one thing...she's pure evil.
Jacqueline will have to defeat her inner monster to have any chance at happiness.

“Fifteen.” Tears burned streaks down her cheeks. David raised his hand, then dropped it on her upturned ass. “Sixteen.”“Enough?” He slid his palm over her bright pink bottom, making it tingle in a way that caused a twitch in her groin. Unlike most women, she sported a penis and it grew against his lap, pinned slightly. That pain added to the wonderful warmth spreading down her thighs.“Yes.” Her voice shook even though she spoke with confidence. Sniffling, she swallowed the rest of the pain.He wound up and landed his hardest slap yet. She screeched but wasn’t entirely surprised. “I decide when it is enough,” he reminded her. “Now, let’s see that cock.”He pushed her up and she caught his shoulder for balance. He looked her over, starting with her knobby knees, up over the penis that had grown and continued to swell as he slid a hand down over her ass. He didn’t stop there, taking in her lacy red bra and eventually her tear-streaked cheeks.David sat with his knees splayed, the stable base that had supported her a moment ago. His pants were soft and loose, tenting. How had she missed that before? He wore no shirt and she put a hand on one of his pecs. Her stroke was an echo of his on her ass.She knew her makeup had run and wiped a hand across her cheek, no longer looking as feminine as before. “Sorry.”Despite how quietly she had apologized, David’s palm went from caressing to smacking. She knew what he required, what she’d forgotten.“I am a woman,” she intoned, reciting as she had every morning since she’d taken up with David and every time she apologized for her appearance in front of him. “I am beautiful, and my body is a temple. With it I will worship you and thank you for your adoration and admiration.”“Damn right.” He pulled her between his thighs and sank his fingers into her long hair, using it to pull her down for a kiss. “Now get a tissue and clean yourself up.”“Thank you.” She pressed her lips to his, but as soon as she had, she noticed her nose running and hurried to the en suite bathroom. Using astringent, depilatory cream and moisturizer, she conducted her nightly ablutions. Returning to David, she doubled her arms behind her for the clasp of her bra.She stopped, seeing him stroking his erection. His pants were a puddle on the floor next to the chair, upon which she had laid her own. Her breath came faster and she bit her lip, wondering how he would want her.“Come here.” He crooked a finger. “Something simple tonight? I know you’re in the lab first thing tomorrow.”She nodded, but considered asking for the opposite. For something long, intense, and climactic.David’s mouth twitched, rising on one side into a lop-sided smirk. “Turn, bend, and grab your ankles,” he commanded.Jacqueline shivered. That was not the prelude to something simple. How did he read her mind like that? No matter. “Yes, sir.” She obeyed, presenting her posterior. It was still warm from his spanking.“Can you see your cock?” he asked, moving from the bed. She could follow his voice but couldn’t see what he did.“Yes.” Of course she could, she was bent right in front of it.“Kiss it.”Her whole body seemed on edge. This was not an easy request and try as she might, it remained out of reach.“Close enough. Stay there.” Jaqueline didn’t pull her head back, but she gasped as his lubed fingers prepared her tight ass to be followed by his cock. The probing and twisting made her insides turn to water, melting away.“Fuck, David, I’m going to fall over.”“No, you’re not.” He had a firm hold of her hips, and despite her over 160 pounds, he lifted her almost off the floor. She wasn’t falling as long as he held her.Trusting him, feeling safe, she tried to press back onto his cock. He didn’t let go, but nudged her head with his wrist. “I want you to cover yourself in cum.”She shook her head, disbelieving. The blood rushing to her head made her see stars in the corners of her vision. He felt so good fucking her that she was willing to try anything. “I’m getting dizzy.”“Keep your head there.” He thrust faster, his thighs slapping into her ass, making it sting. She squirmed, which only made it better for both of them. Her cock, bent at an odd angle, throbbed, and when David started to erupt inside her, she knew her own release wouldn’t be denied.“David!” Ejaculate shot in pulses onto her chest and throat, dripping down to her upturned face. The twisted position added to the tension in her muscles from the climax resulted in a nasty kink in her chest. “Ow.”“Upsie-Daisy.” David pulled her upright against him, holding her with one arm across her chest and the other her hips. He fondled her small breast while he tucked his nose in under her ear. “Steady?” he asked, kissing her neck.“Mm,” she hummed, relaxing in his embrace.“Lie down. I’ll clean you up.” He disappeared into the bathroom and she barely managed to open her eyes when he returned. He ran the warm cloth over her face and dabbed at her hair. She would wash it in the shower in the morning. Then he wiped her ass where his come was leaking onto the sheets. Finally, after tossing the cloth away, he slipped under the sheets beside her, spooning up.“I love you,” Jacqueline whispered.
“And I love you.”

Hi there! Great to meet you. Don’t mind the flowers. It’s nice to have my namesake around.
How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing? I’ve been a published author for eight years. I loved writing fiction in school and took my first stab at a novel when I graduated. I fell away from it for a while, but fell back in just over 10 years ago, writing fanfiction. Since then I’ve published many titles.
How did you come up with this storyline?I have an author friend, Julez Morbius, that often uses transsexuals as main characters. His writing challenged me, and after mulling over Trans ideas, Jekyll and Hyde came to mind. Thus we have Jacqueline and Heidi.
What are the best and the worst aspects of writing? The singular nature of it fits both those bills. It makes it great, because I do it whenever I want, wherever I want and it doesn’t mess with anyone’s schedule but mine. It’s also hurdle when I don’t believe in myself or I hit a road block because I don’t have someone working with me to offer up a suggestion. I have a circle of support, and I do call on them, but it’s not the same as having someone across from you, working on the same thing at the same time, together.
What inspires you to write? Lately, inspiration has been hard to find. Nature is one of my muses, and although it’s a dreary drab spring here in Edmonton, fresh buds on the trees remind me that everything is just about to come into bloom again.
What are 3 of your favorite quotes from Changes? She would have another chance, another time. She just needed to be patient… She had never been patient.***“Let me know if you need anything. I can find another construction guy and punch his lights out.”***“Ah, you’re planning on parading that fucktastic body, are you?”
What would your friends say is your best quality? I’ve been told it’s my tolerance. It comes easy to me, so I don’t think about it, but when I see a parent with a shrieking child, or a kid that seems to be always in trouble, I don’t think judgmental things about their personality or character, I start with the assumption that there are circumstances in their lives that I don’t know or understand. Instead of looking down on them, or offering platitudes, I try to offer REAL help, by giving that mom or dad a minute or two to themselves, by keeping an eye on that kid on the playground and making sure that any complaints against him are justified. And although I am tolerant and accepting of transgender individuals, I also know that my head defaults gender in a way I hate. It leads to me using incorrect pronouns instinctively and feeling terrible about it after. Although it might be my best feature, it isn’t always a good as I would like.
Are reader reviews important to you? Why?Yes and no. Mostly no. I have very low self-esteem so a flattering review can really bolster me. However, it is the bad reviews that haunt me and make me second guess everything I write, long after I’ve forgotten the good one. As a result, I try not to look at my reviews. It’s difficult.
What do you do when you don’t write? Like in “Real Life”I’m an environmental consultant and a lunch supervisor at my daughter’s school. In the winter, when we aren’t as busy it’s easy to squeeze in an hour for lunch, but over late spring and summer, I’m often out of town. It’s a nice change from season to season.
Tell us about your other books? My primary series is Blue Moon House about BDSM vampires. Changes takes place at a BDSM dungeon called Riz Kay, which is also a setting for Switching Up. You get a glimpse of David and Jacqueline in that story.
Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know me. It’s been lovely to share some of my hopes and fears with you.

Stolen dragon scales, a mob boss, and seductive Siberian male...Nova had her hands full.

(Siberian Paradox)
by
Decadent KaneInternational Bestselling Author@DecadentKane

After Grigori's dragon scales are stolen, he catches a lead in Paradox City. The culprit? A sassy little thing who masquerades as him to make a sale! He might have found that adorable if she hadn't taken his dragon powers too. Intrigued by the female's abilities, Grigori set his sight on claiming what is rightfully his, and in the process, the female just might find her way to her knees.
Nova brokers deals on the black market. She doesn't ask what the products are and she usually doesn't care, not until her brother gets involved with Faceless, a mob boss. Toss in a dragon shifter searching for his stolen scales and Nova finds herself knee deep in trouble. When that sexy dragon barges his way into Nova's life, she refuses to give in to his demands… well, at least she tries to tell herself that. She doesn't expect Grigori to awaken a side of her she'd only ever thought about in the dark of night… an urge to submit she thought she could live without.

Nova sighed and hailed a cab. Crap. Close quarters in a car with—was he a Russian dragon? She wasn’t sure. But he had to be something from a manly culture. The way he’d taken over the scene, like he owned the place. Nothing phased him. But he phased her. The cab pulled up to the curb and she slid in, all the way over to the far side, as far away from him as she could possibly get.Grigori's form barely fit inside the cab. He managed to make the seat look small and took up so much space she knew she was doomed. Nova looked out the window to avoid staring at him or would it be ogling?"Where to?" the male driver asked. Grigori growled beside her."Take us to the Eclipse restaurant." She didn't look at the driver, but kept watching out the window as buildings passed. They blurred as she tried not to acknowledge the heat coming off the man beside her. She could feel his eyes on her. She wanted to look at him, but refused to allow herself. Instead, she crossed her arms over her chest. Her entire body sat rigid. If she moved, she might bump him, since he took up so much space. The cab turned onto Fates Bridge. The sun sparkled through the glass, warming the inside of the cab. Nova didn't budge and tried not to breathe deeply. The silence lengthened between them and it was driving her mad. Why didn't he say something? What did she expect him to say? Instead of waiting for him to speak, Nova blurted, "What's the bond you were talking about?""Look at me when you speak to me." His accent was heavy. Nova's heart thundered in her chest so hard she was sure he could hear it with his dragon powers. She took a deep breath, mustering the courage to turn to him. Some part of her knew those eyes would see everything, that they wanted to see everything. Technically, she already asked and didn't need to say something else, so she kept her eyes focused out the window. What if he chose not to answer? Steeling herself, Nova would just have to handle the silence. It was better than being alone in the dark. The silence stretched out again as they moved farther into the inner parts of Paradox City. She was pretty sure Grigori hadn't stopped staring at her. She shifted her shoulders. His fingers slipped around her chin and moved her head toward him. Surprised by his gentle touch, she didn't stop him. His hard glare met her eyes and she nearly whimpered. But the sound would never escape her lips no matter what he did. Nova swallowed the anxiety—no, not anxiety but excitement. She grabbed his wrist but he didn't let her chin loose. He hadn't hurt her, wasn't causing any pain, but his grip was firm. She could feel the calluses on his hand, the hair on his arm."Ask me again." He demanded it of her and want seared through her body like fire.

I'm Decadent Kane and I write paranormal romance with elves, demons, shades, and recently dragons. I started my career on a dare and of course I couldn't turn the dare down, so here I am. The dare was simple: Write a story involving Santas's elves, a spy, and include the sexy heat. Who could pass this up? I took it and ran with it and my elves were born.
How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing? I've been writing since I was a kid, most of us have. My family are a creative bunch and mine just comes out in the written word as well as crafting. I've been writing professionally though since 2013.
How did you come up with this storyline?Shifting Scales story line came from a writing prompt I had done several months ago. It was just 1k words- the start of the story actually- and then when I reread it it seemed like something that would fit into my Siberian paradox series that I wanted to start- so I jumped in feet first and ran with it, and dragons came out! What are the best and the worst aspects of writing? The best aspects of writing is when the words just flow…I start a timer and let it all go and pretty soon I have a story and characters have taken over the page. I have to reread it just to see what I wrote and I love that feeling- that inspired happiness of creation.
The worst aspect of writing- in general blurbs and titles…lol professionally I think marketing is a downside to being a professional author as it sucks up a great deal of time for the author, instead of writing.
What inspires you to write? Many things, pictures, words, my imagination, and sometimes a character wakes me up in the middle of the night.
How did you conduct your research for Shifting Scales? I started by looking up Siberia, as I needed a starting point for this story because it will be the prequel to the Siberian Paradox series. I went from there, and because Siberia has so much mystery around it- including it's name- it seemed like a wonderful place to create a world of my design. It has such an open ended design that other than some Russian words and cultural stuff, I have free reign.
What is 1 of your favorite quotes from Shifting Scales? "Ask me again." He demanded it of her and want seared through her body like fire.
What do you do when you don’t write? Like in “Real Life”I love to craft, I work with clay and create dragons, fairies, and elves.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know a little about me and my new story! I truly hope my readers, and new readers, will enjoy my Siberian dragon Grigori…

The fae, magic, and mystical worlds of possibility are carved into her soul. When she writes her stories, she pours all of her heart into what they whisper. She's the kind of lady who will stare off into space to better understand her characters thoughts, listening to them speak their own version of the story.
She's a mother of two girls and several furbabies. She's engaged but has no intention of getting married.
Like most authors she's been writing most of her life and has dreamed of being an author since the 5th grade.
When she writes, she writes to explore characters and a world first for herself. Then she revises, edits and publishes for readers.
