Valentine Superboost : 3 Steps to Create Your Future Today
Let’s jump straight in with what I have discovered is one of the most powerful ways you can turbo-charge your Quantum Creating manifestation practices by bringing your future vision forward and setting you on your path towards your goals right now – today.
It’s a really simple three step process which doesn’t require a lot of your time but what I can promise you sets in motion your creative subconscious to allow it to generate new ways of achieving your dreams and puts you in the path of increased synchronicities which allow you to get to your goals so much faster!
As with all QC, meditation or psychic skill practices, please ensure you won’t be disturbed and your phone is on silent or off. Take out your QC journal. Now, pick a date in the not-too-distant future. I recommend you pick a date that is between 18 months to two years in the future. This can be a random date or it can have special significance for you. It could be your birthday for example. Let’s say you have chosen Valentine’s Day – February 14, 2017. Start to write in your journal with ‘Today is February 14, 2017 and right now I am . . .’ Now, describe this day from the perspective of you having attained a major goal that you want to manifest. This could be your perfect relationship – so you would go on to describe how you and your partner are going to be celebrating the day, where you will go, what surprises you have in store for them, what they will be organising for you. Make this as detailed as you possibly can. Or perhaps you have a different goal. Perhaps your goal is to own your own home, set up your own business or have that dream job? If so, do the same thing. Start with ‘Today is February 14, 2017 and I am waking up in my bed in my fabulous new home in . . .’ and go on from there. Leave no detail out. Describe what kind of home you have, where it is, how it is decorated – and the same goes for any other goal you want to achieve. You could describe your commute to that dream job and what will happen during your day or if your dream involves your own business then how you see your day unfolding, the clients you would talk to, what work you would be doing. Don’t forget to include your emotions and feelings here too – as the emotional connection we feel forms a bridge between where we are now and that future.
Once you have written about your future goal, just as if you are in that future living it, re-read it. Now, while your creative subconscious and emotions are fully engaged with your vision write down three steps – just three, that you can begin to take right now, today, to start making that goal a reality. It does not matter how big or small they are, what matters is you set them in motion. Once you have tackled your first three, set yourself three more. You will be amazed at what happens just by doing this. All kinds of people, opportunities and signposts will come your way propelling you into your future. What’s more, you may discover it arrives faster than you think. Chances are when you arrive at that date two years in the future, you will be living it exactly as you described it – or it may be even better.
So, pick a date with destiny when your desires will have manifested, and start creating that future in the present – today.
Harmony, Creativity & Connection. Year of the Wood Goat
February 19 with its new ‘Black’ Supermoon ushers in the Chinese New Year of the Wood or Green Goat. So, what is this likely to bring for all of us, no matter what our Chinese astrological sign?
Last year saw the Year of the Fire Horse which had a highly energetic, some would say even frantic feel to it. Perhaps you thought you were galloping as fast as you could but getting nowhere? Well, this year has an energy that is far more laid-back to it. It’s going to be a time to enjoy life but that doesn’t mean we can kick back and treat 2015 like a chill-out lounge. The Wood Goat is all about working but bringing love and creativity into our work so we enjoy what we do. Many people born in the Year of the Goat are drawn to creative professions or jobs that allow them to create harmony and understanding such as counselling or psychotherapy.
Goat people usually make friends easily and that’s one of the gifts this Goat year may bring for all of us – increased social connections – people very much on our ‘wavelength’ who are easy to be around. This may in turn lead us to extremely enjoyable social events and activities with these people, so everyone should make that bit of an extra effort this year to increase their social circle. As this is a ‘Green’ or ‘Wood’ Goat then don’t be surprised if we see environmental issues specifically tied to forests, trees, growing things, food and agriculture become more prominent during the next 12 months. Permaculture may be a ‘hot’ topic as could be the ‘greening’ of our cities and urban environments.
Although the energy of this year is generally one of harmony and cooperation as Goats always strive for peace, we must never lose sight of the fact that no matter how easy-going Goats may appear to be, if they become angry or you antagonise them long enough they will literally ‘butt heads’ with you! So while this year holds the promise of increased understanding and cooperation on a collective level we have to bear in mind that stubbornness or becoming argumentative will see the Goat lower his head and prepare to charge! Perhaps this is why in Chinese Astrology Goats and Ox are not supposed to get on – you can clearly see how they could end up ‘butting heads’ together!
The message of the Year of the Wood Goat is to cooperate, make friends, work with love and above all, be honest. Goats value honesty above all things and what’s more, their keen intuition means that they know when they are being lied to! So, this year may bring many untruths to the surface in the media as those not working closely with Goat honesty and integrity, find themselves exposed.
If we go back and look at the symbolism of a Wood or Green Goat then we see that planets and trees bend with the elements – they are in harmony with their environment. And that’s exactly how the Year of the Wood Goat wants us to live – in harmony with our world – and one another.

It’s never too late! Read this now!
Writing an article about timing in readings (see That’s NOT What I Wanted to Hear! What to do when you don’t like what you’ve been told in a reading), really got me thinking about the timing of certain events in our lives and how despite the fact we’re all living longer than ever before in history, we can all too easily fall into the trap of limiting ourselves by ‘ageism’ in our own lives. Yes, we live in a youth-obsessed culture – one that devalues life experience. But the fact we are all not only living longer but able to stay healthier for longer means that we no longer have to buy-in to the idea that if we have not achieved a certain thing or passed a certain milestone by the time we’ve reached a certain age, it’s never going to happen for us. No, of course we can’t win an Olympic Gold Medal in the 100 metres when we’re 70. That doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy running if we’re still mobile – or enjoy exercise. Or perhaps you’ve given up doing something you used to love because you feel it is ‘immature’ or ‘childish’? Our interests contain the seeds of our soul purpose. The only real limitation all of us face are our own ideas about what we can or can’t do at any particular age. So, what are yours? What are you telling yourself you are now ‘too old’ to do or experience?
Are you stuck in a job you don’t like but feel you have to ‘stick it out’ as you’re now ‘too old’ to change careers as you’re in your 30’s/40’s/50’s or even close to retirement? As we’re all living longer retirement age is being pushed further and further out and we are all now embracing the idea of having more than one career in our lifetimes. The benefits of remaining in work as opposed to retiring, especially if it’s a career you love, are well documented. In a worst case scenario however, that means you could end up doing that job you hate until the day you die.
Still think you’re too old now to make the change? Or, if you need to go study to do what you want to do are you telling yourself that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? Perhaps it’s not your age but a fear of failure that’s holding you back. Maybe you wanted to go and study something when you were younger but at that time you failed the entrance exams and haven’t had the courage to try again since. Perhaps you expressed a desire to follow a certain career path and instead of being encouraged you were ridiculed or told not to get ‘ideas above yourself’ and haven’t bothered trying since. If a past failure continues to stop you from following your dream for the future then had you thought that your life experience since then has probably provided you with the tools to get a different outcome this time? Universities are currently bemoaning the lack of mature applicants. And if someone poured cold water on your dreams when you were young can you now see that they were telling their story, not yours?
Or perhaps you’re buying into the idea that unless you’ve done something by a certain age, it’s never going to happen for you. Remember how in the 90’s people said that a single woman in her 40’s was more likely to be captured by a terrorist than get married? Not only did a slew of books and articles prove just how wrong that assumption was but it is surprising the number of women and men who still buy into the idea that if they haven’t met the ‘one’ by a certain age they’re not going to. We can choose to open our hearts to love and our life to someone at any age. It’s out attitude, not our age that determines this.
Here’s some inspirational examples of people who didn’t let a number rule their lives. Sonia had always wanted to be an actress but her parents discouraged it, then marriage and motherhood took over. Widowed and with her children now grown up she became an extra in numerous films and TV shows in her 60’s. Gerald had always wanted to be a lawyer but he came from a blue collar background and had to leave school at 16. At 60 he took early retirement, passed the university entrance exam and graduated in the top five of his year in law school. At 65 he set up his own law practice which he continued for the next 20 years. Friends and family thought of Carola as a life-long spinster but at 57 she married the man of her dreams – who just happened to be a multimillionaire! One day in her 70’s, Annie woke up regretting that while she had always loved horses, she had never learned to ride them. So, she booked herself some riding lessons and went on to compete in dressage competitions – scoring higher than riders over 50 years younger than her!
These stories prove that no matter how old you are, it’s never too late to have the time of your life so don’t let a number hold you back!
Expand Your Psychic Skills: Dowsing magic!
Due to popular request I’m going to run through some simple basic psychic skills articles on some popular topics.
Dowsing can be one of the easiest and also accurate psychic skills to acquire. It can be used to clarify other methods of reading such as the Tarot if you are unclear about the meaning and answer specific questions correctly phrased and also to make choices. You can buy a pendulum specifically designed for dowsing from new age shops or on line. Or many people prefer to create their own – you can use an old chandelier crystal or a pendant for example – anything that you feel reflects positive energy and which can be suspended on a length of cord or thin twine.
When you are ready to begin, have your journal ready to record the answers your pendulum gives you so you can refer back to them later.
First, hold your pendulum with one hand and allow it to swing freely over your other hand palm up just underneath it, until it comes to a stop. When it has come to a complete stop you need to establish the baseline for your answers. You can either ask it a question which has a yes/no answer such as ‘Is today Thursday?’ Take note of which way your pendulum moves. This direction is yes if you are asking the question on a Thursday. Wait until your pendulum stops before asking it a question which determines the direction for ‘No’ – which could be ‘Is today Saturday?’. Take note again which direction the pendulum moves – it could be in a circle either clockwise or anti-clockwise or back and forth. Alternatively, some dowsers prefer just to ask ‘Which way for yes?’ and then ‘Which way for no?’ and to take note of the result. Use whichever method seems easiest and most natural for you. Above all, don’t force the pendulum to move. If it isn’t moving, ask your inner self to channel your energy into the hand UNDER the pendulum – not the one holding the line. This will cause the pendulum to move. It’s all energy!
Once you have established which direction is yes and which is no you are ready to begin asking it questions. Like all psychic skills you may have to practice until you get firm, accurate responses but the great thing about dowsing is that it has many applications and can be used for far more than just answering questions about your future. It can be used to choose which vitamins or foods your body may require and you can also use it to measure the distance of someone’s aura! If the pendulum keeps on swinging you are still within the subject’s auric field! One of our readers Helen once decided to dowse and measure the size of her horse’s aura by using a pendulum and it was still registering it from 250 yards away! Once she had ended up in the middle of the next paddock she came to the conclusion her horse’s aura may be so large it might not be possible to measure it. Beginners might want to try measuring the aura of something smaller such as your cat to begin with!
Pendulums can also be used to register blockages in our chakras simply by placing the pendulum above the energy points in your body. Does it spin and move or remain static or demonstrate a sluggish movement? The latter shows a blockage which can of course be moved by meditation and yoga practices.
Your pendulum will also react to negative energy situations. Not that I’m recommending that you whip it out next time you enter a room filled with tension but you will be amazed at how your pendulum reacts to changes in energy which is why dowsing is so often used to find water.
Have fun with dowsing. It’s an easy and incredibly simple psychic art to master with has many applications.

Take a Journey Into Your Imagination and Change Your World!
I always believe we have our dreams for a reason. They are messages from our soul which are linked to our higher purpose. All of us can remember day dreaming from our childhood, taking journeys into our imagination where we dreamed of what we would someday be, have or accomplish. Very often however, we are told this is ‘childish’ behaviour and to stop daydreaming! We can say that some of us rediscover this process as adults – except we call it by a different name – goal setting, cosmic ordering, Quantum Creating – at its heart it is all the same thing and the same process. When we imagine something we are journeying into an archetypal realm- the world of mythology but more important, this is our personal mythology and one we have the power to change or re-write at will!
It doesn’t matter where you are on your QC journey, or if you are just starting out on the manifestation process. Perhaps you no longer know what your soul purpose is or your goals no longer hold any meaning for you but you no longer know what will. This technique will put you back in touch with the powerful world of imagination you were able to access as a child and plug you straight back into your dreams in order to turn them into reality! Ready to take the journey? As usual unplug or turn off your phone and ensure you won’t be disturbed.
1: Get comfortable and if you want to set the scene light a candle. Concentrate on your breathing. As you begin to relax allow your breathing to slow down and become deeper.
2: Imagine in your mind a doorway. You can make this as elaborate as possible. See the frame and the details on the closed door. What colour is it? Are there any cravings? A number? What does it feel like when you touch it? How is it opened? Do you have to knock? This is your doorway from this world into the world or your own imagination and your soul story in this lifetime.
3: Is there a guardian at the entrance? If so, who or what are they? Do they have questions for you? For example, they may ask who you are, why you want to enter or even ask you for a password or for something to pass through. If you encounter a Dweller on the Threshold as I call them, this is where you begin to access your imagination as you will have to come up with your own answers for them! They are part of your subconscious however so be aware you already have the answers or what your Guardian wants.
4: Once you have interacted with your Guardian should you meet one, or just as you breathe and relax more, you will find the door opens. Light floods through it. Remember how in the Wizard of Oz when Dorothy steps through the black and white world of her house and out into the colours of Oz? Stand for a moment in the doorway and allow your vision to adjust.
5: What is on the other side of the doorway? It can be anything from a beach, to a forest glade, the top of a mountain or a magnificent throne room. This is the space where you can create your future. Step into it.
6: Look around you. A figure will now approach you. Is it male? Female? Old? Young? Is it even human? This is your creative soul or essence come to interact with you. Greet him or her. Now is the time to ask your Creative Soul about your goals and dreams. How to achieve them, what they should be. Take as much time as you need here as chances are your Creative Soul has a lot to tell you and show you. You may catch glimpses of goals you wanted in the past but which seemed impossible. Your Creative Soul is now showing you that these are part of you, and that you can still achieve them. Listen to its advice. It may suggest ways of accomplishing them that had not occurred to you before or even suggest new goals that you have never imagined but seem now to resonate deep within you.
7: When you are ready, thank your Creative Soul, walk back through the doorway and return to the room. Write down everything you remember as chances are even the things you saw are clues! Write down your goals as if they are a story you will live out in the future knowing that as you do you are creating it/
You have no reconnected to the powerful world of myths and archetypes where all that can be manifested begins. What’s more, you can now return any time you wish.
Your dreams are part of you and reconnecting to this world enables you to not only make them real in your imagination but real in this one as well! Be not just a Quantum Creator but a master storyteller of the wonderful tale of the life you were born to live!
Psychic Workshop: Creating a Sphere of Protection
Once you start working with your abilities seriously, it’s very important to consider the fact that once you open yourself to psychic energy, you are not just opening yourself up to the positive aspects of it – but also will become vulnerable to the negative ‘vibes’’ too. It’s important to learn to protect yourself and your energy from this and what’s more by doing so you increase your concentration and your intuition at the same time!
The simplest way to do this is to imagine yourself within a sphere of light – like a large soap bubble. When you visualise this it should be big enough to contain all of you plus extend out to include some of the space around you.
Whenever you are either meditating, doing psychic work or giving a reading – whether it is for yourself or another, spend a few moments beforehand to create this sphere. It’s not difficult and what’s more – it really does work!
1: Sit in your chair and begin to visualise a globe of white light about a meter in front of you. Imagine it hovering in the air roughly level with your heart chakra, and then see it spinning and glowing strongly.
2: See it start to expand outwards. As it grows bigger imagine it surrounding you extending down to your feet and above your head. See yourself as sitting in the middle of a sphere of brilliant, rainbow light like a transparent bubble.
3: Imagine it so strongly that you can feel it. Breathe in. Does it have a perfume? Expand your senses so you can smell, touch and feel its energy as t gently encloses you from head to foot.
4: Spend a moment imagining yourself expanding and contracting your bubble at will. Imagine that the area in which you are enclosed is now filled with love and pure intentions. Nothing negative can enter. Any problems you may be dealing with or negative thoughts have no place within this space and when you look through the transparent walls of your bubble you now see everything clearly.
It may take a few practice sessions before you feel that your sphere is perfectly formed around you. If you practice this just once each day it will strengthen your aura and your intuitive abilities and what’s more you will be able to find you can create your bubble at will – not just for doing readings or meditation practice, but for protection in any situation where you find someone’s energy confrontational or draining or when you feel overwhelmed by a problem or situation.
A Sphere of Protection really is your own sacred space that you can take anywhere with you in order to see clearly, focus on your goals and make the magic happen!

Be Your Own Tarot Expert! Dealing with ‘Difficult’ Cards
No matter our level of expertise, there are always those cards in the Tarot we have difficulty with. Perhaps they came up for us in a reading when we were going through a particularly challenging time – and now we associate them with negative events. Or maybe some images just fill us with dread when we look at them – to the point that if they come up in a reading, either one we are doing for ourselves or for someone else, we tend to skim over them or even ignore them entirely.
However, if we don’t get to know every card in the Tarot well, we are missing out on key information that can open up our readings and also help those we read for. And it’s important to remember that every card – no matter what its traditional meaning or what emotions it evokes in us, has a dark and a light side. One example of this is The Lovers card. Yes, its appearance can herald a wonderful new romance or reconciliation. But it can also indicate a love affair which is an eternal triangle situation or there is a conflict of some kind – perhaps between one party’s career and their personal life. This duality is present in all the cards.
If you have practiced another exercise here on MK which asks you to pick six cards you are drawn to and six cards that you’re adverse to, then you will already be familiar with how the following exercise works. The goal here however is to improve your relationship with cards you find intimidating or just downright scary and tap into their secret messages for you. In other words, make friends with these cards!
As usual, unplug or turn off your phone. Have your Tarot journal to hand and pick a time when you are unlikely to be disturbed. Lay all your cards face up in front of you. Now, pick six cards that for one reason or another you associate with challenging events, break-ups, unhappiness, strife or you just feel that you don’t like them or can’t ‘read’ them on some level. Go with your gut feeling when picking them. Do not pick more than six even if you feel you have barriers connecting to more than six cards in the deck. You can always repeat this process with the others later.
When you have chosen your six cards spend a few moments with the one that you have the strongest negative response to. Look at it closely. What does it symbolise for you? Has it come up for you in a challenging time or heralded some problem to come in the past? What form did this challenge take? If there has been no specific event associated with this card stay tuned to the emotions it is evoking. Why do you feel this way about the card? What events do you think it refers to? If it is a court card do you associate it with a specific person and if so, what was your relationship to them? Now, when you are ready write down every negative outcome you think this card signifies. Really go to town on this! What is the very worst thing that could happen if this card comes up in a reading? When you have got this down on paper now step back a moment. If all this happened, what could be the best thing that could emerge from this? Often a crisis is an opportunity in disguise. A card that many people have a deep reaction to is the 3 of Swords – the image of a heart being pierced by three swords. The background to this card is usually grey or grey clouds evoking a feeling of loss and heartbreak and this card often appears when someone has experienced a break-up. The card signifies pain and suffering but there is the other side to this card. I liken it to a wound that has become infected. Think about this – if you do not pierce a boil and drain the infection then the infection will spread throughout the body. The message of mourning and tears the 3 of Swords carries is saying that the tears and mourning are necessary for the person to heal – and they will. Looked at this way, the card becomes a natural part of the grieving cycle.
When you have written all you can about the first card, move on to the next and so on. As you delve deeper into ‘difficult’ cards you will cease to dread them coming up in your readings and will see them as guides to help you and clients navigate their problems, not just a portents of doom and gloom! All cards in the Tarot have a secret gift for us. So unlock your most challenging cards and receive yours.
