Congress and congressmen have been in the news lately. We have the 188 representatives who signed the impeachment complaint against Chief Justice Renato Corona. Then those in the minority will decide whether to keep Edcel Lagman as their leader or replace him with Danilo Suarez.

It is always good to know that Im not alone, that there are younger Filipino historians. Recently in town for the holidays were Vina Lanzona (University of Hawaii) and Richard Chu (University of Massachusetts). Vina's tatest book was on Huk Amazons, Richard on Chinese in the colonial Philippines.
