Today, lawyer turned romance author, Regan Walker joins me in the Interview Room to talk about her writing and her Regency stories.

Against the Wind, Regan WalkerRegan WalkerWhat’s on your desk?

A lot. I like to see my work so I can grab something I need. If I put it away, I’m likely to forget it. My “desk” took over my dining room table a few years ago and now I have everything from my computer, my printer/scanner/copier, two stacks of notes on my works in progress (or for future works I envision), a stack of 8 different colored “stic...

teacher_pointing_at_blackboardWhen I look at my day’s output, one of the things I check is the use of proper names versus pronouns. Is it always clear which character (or thing—“it” is a pronoun, too) I’m talking about?

How do you make sure your readers are follow...

In the Interview Room — LynDee Walker

Today I welcome LynDee Walker to the Interview Room. LynDee grew up in the land of stifling heat and amazing food most people call Texas, and wanted to be Lois Lane from the time she could say the words “press conference.”LynDee Walker

Plotter or Pantser?

Hybrid. I write mystery, so I have to plot that out or I’d never finish a book, but the rest of the story is definitely fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants. I usually start with the villain and the crime, then go backward to figure out how to get Nichelle to the a...
