Some days—or weeks—or months, it seems Murphy’s Law runs rampant. That’s been my life lately. In my efforts to get Identity Crisis published (it’s almost live everywhere), I’ve run into just about every glitch imaginable. Some were my fault, some were issues with the aggregators’ software. What’s Cooking Wedesday – Orecchiette with Clams and Broccoli
Hubster tried the original version of this recipe, found in Food Network Magazine. It was a lot more trouble than he likes to spend and so he simplified it after giving it a try following the original procedure. If you are more adventurous, you can find that recipe here. Using All Five Senses Along With POV
As writers, we’re taught to include all five senses in our writing. Most of us are guilty of relying too heavily on sight, with sound a close second, but we shouldn’t neglect the other three.
Smell, for example, evokes powerful memories. I can’t open a bag of birdseed without being carried back to my great-uncle’s farm where I helped feed the chickens when I visited.

What’s Cooking Wednesday – Spicy Corn Bread
This corn bread recipe was perfect with the Sloppy Joe Soup recipe I shared a while back.
Spicy Corn Bread
Ingredients:
c canola oil
1 egg
1 c milk
c plain yogurt or sour cream
1 T sugar
1 c cornmeal
1 c flour
1 T baking powder
t baking soda
t salt
c grated sharp Cheddar
c canned chopped green chiles
2 T minced red bell pepper
3 T chunky salsa (heat level to taste)
Dash cayenne (to taste)
