Words of Comfort: Defenceless.

“According to the Bible, God created all, this would include sin. It also says God created man with our flaws and all. Then the Bible goes on to say God will punish us for being sinners which is the way he created us, unless, we ask forgiveness for being the weak humans he created us to be. Does this not make sense to anyone else or is it just me?” Philip Andersen
It’s just you and those who embrace a similar worldview to yours. This is because you don’t believe that in the beginning, God...

Words of Comfort: Crushed.

“Ray did have his moment of getting crushed by Aron ra on the atheist experience.” King Ateo
If I did get crushed, I didn’t notice it. In fact, I enjoyed being on the program because they had the courtesy to allow me to preach the gospel. I hope I have many more “crushing” experiences because that’s what brings out the juice.

Words of Comfort: Outside of the Bible.

“The Israelite ‘borrowed'’ a lot of their stories and teachings from surrounding cultures, like the famed 10 commandments which is a reap of from the Egyptian book of the dead, more specifically the 42 principles of Maat which predates the biblical account by 2000 years.” Nekan Solanke
It never ceases to amaze me that any historical event outside of the Bible is viewed as the gospel truth, and anything inside the Bible is viewed with a contemptuous skepticism.

Words of Comfort: Praying vs. not praying.

"Sentiment is nice and can be expressed in a number of ways but have you ever wondered why praying works the same as not praying?" Craig Smith
That may be your subjective experience and the experience of others who in their ignorance and proud hearts look on God as a divine butler. But it certainly isn’t our experience. God has answered the penitent prayer of millions who have called on the Name of Jesus Christ.

Words of Comfort: A low door.

“Why would God make your religion so easy to ridicule?” Red Xon
He has deliberately made is easy to ridicule so that the proud would stumble in their arrogant conceit. He has chosen foolish things to confound those who are wise in their own eyes. The door to everlasting life is very low, and those who refuse to humble their proud hearts will not enter.

Words of Comfort: Something for some parents...

A not-so-subtle and deceitful atheist wrote: “As a proud Creationist (capital letter), my parents are trying to send me to a 'normal' school full of atheists (lower case). I can't convince them that the word of God is absolute and that they are about to send me to Hell with their science? Help!!! I love you Ray.” Leon Chevalier
You have nothing to fear at all. Atheists don’t have any science to back up their blind faith in Darwinian evolution. For evidence of how stupid it is, tell...

Words of Comfort: Errors and mistakes in the Bible?

“How do I break through to the spiritual conversation when someone I am trying to witness to tries to constantly bring up ‘errors’ or ‘mistakes’ in the Bible, such as ‘Joshua speaking to the sun to stand still rather than the earth to stop moving,’ or differences in the gospels such as ‘One gospel says there was more than one man in chains in the cave possessed with legions of demons and another gospel says there was one man possessed with legions of demons?’”
The human mind is in a place of c...

Words of Comfort: Unfruitful.

“You know after listening to the show yesterday, you posed the question, where do you think you will go after you die? With cultural Christianity rampant in most places (guilt by birth in a Christian home, or after a sinner’s prayer some time back) most of the ‘friends’ that have no fruit would say ‘Heaven’ of course. So, what would you say to someone that has no fruit in their lives, yet would say Heaven is where they would go?” Lynda
The world thinks all is well between them and God because...

Words of Comfort: Look at the cross.

All we ask is for those in the world to stand still and see the salvation of God. We want them to stop their arguments, set aside their prejudices, and look to the cross of Jesus Christ with an open and honest heart.

Words of Comfort: In our hearts.

Moses told Israel of God's plan for them, that He wanted to put His Law in their mouth. In the new covenant, God puts His Law into our hearts and causes us to walk in His statutes. See Ezek. 36:26,27 and Jer. 31:32,33 for more details.
