FASHION STYLE: The Fabulously Glamorous Miss Phryne Fisher, recap 7
Tonight is the finale so don’t miss it. In the meantime, here’s last weeks fashion recap.
Phryne loves her simple cami and pant suits, mainly in cream or white, which she tops off with a glamorous coat and matching hat. Although I gotta say, the first coat she wore (in the top pic) looked like a shag bath mat, and some of her coats from this season have looked that way.
We also finally got to see Dot glam herself up. I don’t recall seeing her dressed up, she’s always in ordinary working clothes, so I have to wonder if she borrowed them from Phryne. Gorgeous colours and the lace bolero is amazing along with the sequin scarf shawl Phryne has slung over her arms.
We got to see one of Phryne’s many dressing gowns when she was cowering on the bed, and a gorgeous pale blue bird embroidered coat…with matching hat of course.
We ended the show with Phryne and Jack playing tennis and this is what she wore to the match and then playing after. A white dress, stockings and heels.
I will be doing a recap of tonight’s episode next Friday, plus an added bonus during the week of my fashion tribute to Phryne, so stay tuned.

FASHION STYLE: The Fabulously Glamorous Miss Phryne Fisher, recap 6
There’s only two more eps of Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries left so let’s recap last weeks episode.
Only four outfits last week, starting with a simple cream pant suit with an orange tone coat and matching hat.
Phryne followed that up with an evening dress and shawl, another pant suit with a navy coat and then a goldy/sand coloured silk slip dress and shawl. A colour I did not like.
She seems to have a thing for the shawl scarf this season. And I’m finding that the camisole tops of many of her clothes are a little thin and form fitting. I hope Essie had something underneath otherwise there may have been a nip slip at some stage.
MY PERSONAL COLLECTION: New Gold and Gold multi jewels
I’m still buying jewels, just as much as making them, but I just can’t help myself. If you’re a jewellery addict like me, absolutely, completely obsessed with jewels then you will always buy regardless of whether you make it.
The black diamond one I actually bought for making couture pieces, so I bought two. Glad I did as I quite liked them and decided to keep one for myself. At $7.99 there wasn’t a problem with keeping one as I can always buy more. The middle one came from eBay but is originally from Lovisa. The aztec design caught my eye and I was the lucky bidder. The multi bead had to come home to me. I liked it the minute I saw it and while I haven’t worn it…yet…I can’t wait to pair it up with something else in my jewel-robe.
The next set I’ve only just made up recently. I bought the green earrings from Lovisa for $9 last year and came across the necklace on eBay.
I’m quite surprised that I found a necklace that matched, and one with a green pendant. While they don’t have crystals like the earrings do, they match almost perfectly. I reorganised the pendants into their current position so the green was more dominant in the middle. The necklace only cost $5.79 and now I’m wondering if I can find a bracelet or ring to match.
Have you guys bought any jewellery bargains lately?

STYLE NOTES: My Wonderful World of Fashion Stamp set
I finally got my hands on the latest piece from Nina Chakrabarti, the My Wonderful World of Fashion Stamp Set.
I have previously blogged about buying up the pieces in this set and now the collection is complete, until she releases something else.
The stamp set comes in its own box, matching the book covers in every way.
There are ten stamps with the same pics as the box and two ink pads in black and pink. The inside bottom box is pink, the inside top has little notes.
I love these kind of things and the fact that the theme runs through all of the books and now the stamp set, makes for a nice little set to keep. I definitely won’t be using them, they are way too good.
Have you guys collected this series and what do you think of them?

FASHION STYLE: The Fabulously Glamorous Miss Phryne Fisher, recap 5
Last weeks ep started off, of course, with a murder. And in fine form Phryne dressed up for the occasion. This gorgeous midnight blue silk slip dress was accompanied by an equally gorgeous midnight blue lace shawl and feathered hat.
With a new day and a quick change of clothes she donned a biscuit coloured top and pants with polka dot red coat and matching hat. Phryne always has to have matching hats.
For the last outfit she donned a plain black cami top and pants but topped it off with an amazing deep emerald green velvet jacket and matching jewels. Oh, a girl after my own heart.
The blue and green outfits are her second and third best pieces this season thus far, following that gorgeous red embroidered black coat from two weeks ago.
MY PERSONAL COLLECTION: Blue Jewels and new clothes
I scored the necklace on the left from eBay, originally from Lovisa, I bought it not knowing what I was going to do with it. Realising it was a similar style to the eagle necklace I bought from them a few years ago, I quickly added them together for a unique style necklace.
Then we come to late summer/autumn clothing bargains, two pieces from Millers of course. The two tops were only $5 each and have a few crystals on the front. The coat is the twin to the pink one I bought last year. At $5 from a boutique store I’ve waited a long time for them to get these in again, and in my size. A coat is a damn good bargain for $5.
What’s the best bargain you guys have gotten when it comes to clothes of jewellery? Mine’s been a $299 suede Disney coat for $10 from an op shop. Can you beat that?

COUTURE STYLE: Chained 2U
Over the Easter break I finally managed to get another couture piece done. Throw together a few pieces and here you have Chained 2 U.
It’s all rather easy to make larger pieces, all you need is smaller pieces. I added the dangling pieces to the long necklace for a bit of movement.
It adds to the Jewel Divas Couture Collection.
