Skydreamer Cover Reveal! We have Dragons!
Have you ever had a project that consumed your thoughts? A project that you spent more hours on than you did with your family? Your friends?
Have you ever thought.. this isn’t going to happen.
I’ll never be able to share this with others!
I’m glad I pushed through because now my vision is becoming a reality.
The original idea for Skydreamer began back in 98. It was always (and still is) a story about Jaden Zarie and the finding of her true love, Draven Winterbourn (the King of the dragon-changers)
Skydreamer
Fantasy / Romance
By Sheryl Winters
Publisher: Roane Publishing
Release Date: March 30, 2015
For fire talent, Jaden Zarie, life is far from a fairy tale. Blisters from any contact with water, check. Sleeping in a shed behind your greedy Uncle’s house, check. Ex-boyfriend scouting the bar where you work for one-night stands every night, double check.
When Jaden sets off to secure a new life with her two sisters, winning a contest with a huge pile of gold on the line seems like a quick fix. Getting hitched to Draven Winterbourne, King of the Dragon-changers, and finding true love, was beyond anything she could have hoped for.
But an unexpected enemy threatens to end her dream come true and take it all away. When Jaden is thrust into an alternate universe and separated from her new husband and her sisters, she must summon up the courage to start over, alone, knowing she may never see her family again.
I never set out to be an author. Only a story teller. Some days I succeed better than others.

Pay It Forward
I believe in thanking (and helping) those around me. No matter where we are in life, no matter what is going through us the fact that we are alive today means someone helped us at some time. Someone put their hand out, someone paid the electric bill, someone wiped our noses, someone edited our first story. Someone helped.
Dont let today be the day you forgot to return that simple favor.
Find someone who needs something.. a hug, an ear to listen to, a bowl of cheerios and pay it forward. ..

Confidence.
Confidence.
I believe in well rounded individuals. In the strength of knowing you can do things, whether it be the dishes or writing a book. There are things each and everyone of us can do, but does that mean we are all confident well rounded people? Reality tells me otherwise.
Im amazed how the littlest things can destroy confidence and.. how the smallest compliment can help drag you out of a self despair moment.
Take time today to truthfully compliment someone, you might be amazed at how your simple words change a mindset, a make a day.

In a society that doesnt protect, or afford a well-to-do wifes desire for divorce, Anne decides there is one way to exact revenge: deny the father any knowledge of his child.
Sought after by her husbands henchmen, Anne travels by rail and horseback, far from civilization where silk and stays are worn, let alone thought of. Lies and deceit protect her identity for a time, allowing her to birthand grow to lovethe child who was supposed to be her vengeance.
With the help of her loyal and protective business partner, Jude Connagher, and the ranch hands in their Montana Territory valley, Anne attempts to rebuild her life under the shadow of her husbands wrath.
One unwise decision lands Anne in her pursuers clutches, tearing her from the ranch, her child, and her growing love for the one man who could redeem her from bitterness. She’s left with no choice but to finally face her husband, knowing her freedom and life hang in the balance.

Tens List for Sheryl Winters
Ten must-haves for fleeing across America in 1868
1. Courage. Fleeing into the unknown, especially as a woman during that time, takes more guts than I can imagine a woman from the 21st century has.
2. Resolve because there was nothing easy about the train tracks or trail during the 1800s.
3. Money. Cash can buy luxuryat least as much as could be found during that time. Perhaps an extra cushion or two for the trains wooden bench. A hotel room. A hot bath. Hot food.
4. A good horse to keep blisters from forming in the event you have to walk for a long period of time.
5. Matches. Yes, they were available in 1868, and a camp fire would be a must-have on the open range.
6. Sturdy boots / clothing. Since there werent any washing machines or laundry mats readily available, you would need clothing that would hold up to the task of getting you to the next stream or river.
7. A firearm. While guns are frowned on by most in todays society, having a gun in 1868 would be as natural as breathing. Protection from critters, Indians, and bandits would be up to you since there was little to no law west of the Mississippi.
8. Knowledge of foraging / hunting. If youre unable to stock up on supplies before fleeing civilization, you had best know what plants were edible and how to hunteither by trapping OR shooting that necessary rifle.
9. A blanket or two, because who wants to sleep on a pile of sagebrush or pine boughs without some sort of cushion?
10. Street smarts. While that term didnt exist in 1868, one would need to be observant. Wary. Careful. Shrewd. Wise. You never know whator whoyou might come into contact with in a God forsaken land.
Bio:
Terri started writing stories in the 8th grade, when a little gnome whispered in her brain. Gundis Great Adventure never hit the best seller list, but it started a long love affair with storytelling.
Today she enjoys an escape to Middle Earth during the rare me moments her three young children allow. When not playing toys, picking them back up, or kissing boo-boos, she can be found sprawled on the couch with a book or pencil in hand, and toothpicks propping her eyelids open.

Thanksgiving traditions
Traditions change. Every year it seems, a new one springs up and then your holiday is changed.
Growing up, Thanksgiving was Turkey on the table and my immediate family seated around the table. The meal itself was basic, but we always had Mom’s good china to eat it on.
When I was a single parent, the tradition became just my son and myself and that Turkey!
When I met my husband, it changed again.
Now it’s at the In-laws. The Turkey is cooked their way, as is the mashed potatoes. Gravy always made in the lid on top of the stove.
Over the years, so many things have changed, and so many have stayed the same. It’s the changes that make it interesting. Who will be at the table, what dish did they bring, what are they thankful for this year?
But I’m curious about other traditions. I’ve heard of crab for dinner on Thanksgiving, Ham. One of my relatives, (We miss you Ray Baptista!) often told me a story of eating Limburger cheese on bread with his sister. One of his favorite memories. And while I can’t swear it was on Thanksgiving.. It’s still a beautiful memory.
So come on, tell me. What are your Thanksgiving traditions?

Light a Candle for the Beast

Happy book birthday Light a Candle for the Beast!

Light a Candle for the Beast
by Echo Shea
Publisher: Roane Publishing
Genre: Fantasy/Paranormal Romance
Keywords: Romance, Paranormal, Paranormal Romance, Fairy Tale, Beauty and the Beast
Release Date: November 26, 2014
If you’ve ever been caught in a riptide, pulled down into the water, then you know me. Or, more accurately, what I’m like when I’m angry.
Delia was beautiful, smart, and kind. He wasn’t. He said he loved her, but he didn’t know what love was. He was manipulative and cruel—more than a thief. A beast.
All she wanted was a rose…
These are the words on my sister’s grave. Her sadness, her obsession, forever a reminder I didn’t–couldn’t save her.
I’m not vindictive or cruel. I’m simply as the river–my memory is winding and my reach is long. I watched him steal her beauty, her essence. Watched him become a beast. He thought he’d get away with it, thought he’d go free.
I lay a rose upon my sister’s grave.
Light a candle for the beast.

Not your average Kitty-Cat Romance
Love didn’t come in with the softness of a kitten’s fur, it came in with a resounding ROAR. Purr-fect Mating. Not your average Kitty-Cat romance.
Fhina and Wulfar have a little problem.
On their wedding night, at the stroke of midnight, Wulfar changes into his shifted wolf form and cannot shift back. Not even to communicate with the woman he loves.
Fhina, upon waking the day after their mating, no longer recognizes her mate. Pregnant and confused, she’s convinced herself her mate has run away and left her to live alone. With his dog.
Can the cursed pair find a counter charm before Fhina gives birth? Will Wulfar be able to curb his inclination to run?
Or will their mutual curses break up their love affair before it’s really even started.
“It’s just…Wulfy’s missing, and I thought—” The words stick in my throat. What if she won’t help? How will I ever find him?
“He’s what?” In the background, I can hear loud thumps and shouting. “I’m getting the duct tape out. I’ll use it this time, I swear it!”
“You will not.” I bite back a giggle.
“I might. You have no idea what I’m putting up with. They spent all week at Mom’s, and she hyped them up on pixie sticks and soda. I’ve exhausted a whole day peeling them off the ceiling. I’m just hoping when it wears off they’ll sleep for a week.”
“Good luck with that.”
“Did you say Wulfy is missing? How long’s he been gone? He’s probably off for a long run. Wolves do that, you know? Remember how Mom used to take off for days, leaving us with Aunt Ginger? Always claiming she was out hunting, when she was really in Vegas gambling?”
“But, I haven’t seen him in days.” I shove the notepad back and forth across the table.
“Did you, uhm…snap at him?”
“No!”
“Well, fess up. What happened?”
“Nothing. I was on the phone with Mom and I uh…” I try to remember the conversation. “I told her about the doggy bowl I got for Wulfy. I even gave him the fancy new dog food I got for him. He scratched at the door and I let him out.”
“You got him a dog bowl?” Bella chokes.
“Well, yes. I thought it was a nice thing to do.”
Honestly, wolves. They never make sense, even in human form. Of course, I gave Wulfy a dog bowl, how else do you show a dog you love them? One can’t go around petting them 24/7.
