New Release Prime Journal featuring Saving the Swarm
The latest Phoenix Prime anthology released last night, Journal with a View. A neat little journal with some great stories. It has several other features that I’m sure any reader would love. Poems, crosswords, and a weekly calendar.
My short short Saving the Swarm is featured in the first week. It’s a fun little story about a grasshopper. Check it out, I’m sure you’ll like it.

The Human isn’t listening
The training of the human is going well for the most part. Expect he still picks me up. No matter how much I try to tell him I don’t like it, he picks me up and gives me hugs and kisses. Don’t get me wrong I like the attention, but with my feet firmly on the ground. The human says it’s my fault for being so cute and cuddly. And that I give mixed signals since I purr when he picks me up. I may need to increase my training of the human in this area. Claws might be necessary.
This week I’ve taken a liking to the dog. She is cute. But whenever I try to play with her she ignores me. I’ve been stalking her and attacking. It’s fun, and she lets me. The human said she is almost 15 and no longer likes to play. But I’ve seen her outside when I look into the backyard. She seems playful there. Hopefully, she will play inside.
Cuddles,
Luna.

One Week at my new home
It has been a great week. I’ve adjusted well to my new home. There are lots of places to sleep and food to eat. My human is on top of my poop box. He even plays with me. I’ve trained him well, for the most part, lots of pets, hugs, and kisses. Only a few bad things. There was this dog here. At first, I wanted to attack her. My human showed me it wasn’t a threat. In fact, it’s scared of me. I may use that to my advantage in the future. My human seems to like to pick me up. I will need to train him better not to, but I fear it will be in vain. He also wants me to sit on his lap, that will require further investigation. Regards Luna

An Absent Gale released today
Today another novel released today, An Absent Gale. it is the first full novel in our Elementalist series. You can read a short story that takes place prior to the novel in the Flight of the Pheonix anthology. There will be a two more short stories released soon in some of the athologies from Phoenix Prime.
In the meantime, enjoy An Absent Gale. Alexi was a fun and exciting character to write and follow. His story is one that gave me great joy to write.
I hope you enjoy it as much I did.
A prophecy to change the world happened and Alexi is at the center.
Alexi is in his third year at the academy, and his life has been turned upside down. He is being pulled in too many directions. He had wished to be an Elementalist, and that came true. All he wanted was to be a regular Elementalist, manipulating the air to his desire.
Now his blessing has turned into a curse as people are trying to kill him. Will he make it through his third year alive?

Time Marshal
Derek and my latest novel is out today, Time Marshal. Late last year Derek told me about this neat concept he had for a story. I loved it so much that I jumped right into it. This story featuring Cassandra West, a Time Marshal was born.
Cassie works for the secret government agency, Time Marshals. She along with the other Marshals are tasked with keeping witness willing to testify against the most violent criminals safe.
Her latest witness, Oliver, stood up to a notorious mobster. Oliver became the first witness to die under the Marshals protections. What is Cassie willing to do to save his life?
Will she be able to save Oliver?

Meet Luna

After losing my cat Roger to illness I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to get another. I was kidding myself. I love cats and the companionship they provide. While I still miss my Roger and his love. I found I longed for another fur baby to love and cuddle with.

This weekend I gave in and went to the Michigan Humane Society close to my home. As was there I wanted to take each and every cat home with me. It was tough to take just one
I’ll admit that before I arrived I had been visiting the website for weeks and picked out a cat in advance, but was opened minded going in. But I ended up getting the little girl I saw online.
She was purrfect. Luna warmed up almost immediately to me. Spending much of the weekend cuddling and purring with me.

Already she is melting my heart and helping me grieve better. I will never forget Roger, but Luna is helping me heal. For that I am grateful.

A little snippet from An Absent Gale
A little snippet from Derek and mines soon to be released An Absent Gale. Hope you enjoy.
<<<>>>
The arena on the north end of the campus buzzed with excitement. Alexi entered right behind Vitaly. Zoya trailed behind. The whole school was here with a large part of the city. It was filled to the brim. Finding a seat was going to be tough.
Vitaly maneuvered through the crowd. It was a slow dance as they bobbed and weaved around the mingling people. Halfway around the edge of the stands, Alexi spotted Professor Petrov talking to hood covered man. They were deep in conversation. Alexi turned to Zoya, “Who do you think that is?” He pointed at Petrov.
Zoya tilted her head. “No idea. Somebody dangerous.”
Alexi gulped. Ever since Petrov revealed, he was willing to let Alexi die to hear the Prophecy Alexi skin tingled when he saw him. It made classes with him challenging. “Not good.”
“Nothing he does is good,” Zoya said.
Vitaly stopped suddenly causing Alexi to run into him. “Ouch,” Vitaly said.
“Sorry,” Alexi said.
“This looks like a good spot,” Vitaly said. He found a section that had a few spots open on the bench seating in the area. It was near the top, not the best view but it would work.
“Sure,” Zoya said. “Looks like great seats to me.”
For her anything that wasn’t close to the action was great. At least this time she didn’t bring a book.
They walked up to the spots before anyone could take them. Alexi sat down Zoya quickly joined him. Vitaly paused for a moment, “Hey. I’m going to get a drink you want anything?”
“Sure,” Alexi said. Zoya shook her head.
“Be right back.”
Vitaly dashed down the stairs pulling out his coppers before he reached the bottom. He was joined by a man with a scarred face and wore a brown hood. They rounded the stands together and vanished from Alexi’s view. For a brief moment, Alexi worried about Vitaly. But it wasn’t long before he returned carrying two berry meads. He handed one to Alexi and sat next to him. Vitaly appeared pleased with himself.
Zoya leaned over. “I can’t believe you.”
Vitaly shrugged. “Don’t judge me.”
It suddenly dawned on Alexi who that shady man that Vitaly talked to below was. He made a bet on the match. Vitaly had promised he’d scale back on it. He’s lost more money than Alexi had ever had. It infuriated Alexi that he wasted so much money. It could have gone to better use in Alexi’s mind. Vitaly kept talking about finding the Warden, and that money would help.
“Oh. Look who it is,” a nasal voice said. A few rows away were Lev, another student in the same year as them. “The little Urod who cried the world is ending.”
Vitaly’s nostrils flared, and he stood up with a clenched fist. Alexi hated that word ever since the first time he heard it. Most civilized people wouldn’t use it. Some in Nebu felt individuals who weren’t from certain bloodlines weren’t supposed to have Elementalist abilities. And should never be allowed in Oblako. It was in their eyes an elite instruction and had to have higher standards. “Shut your mouth,” Vitaly said.
“Did I upset you,” Lev hissed. “Your little pet friend looks like he is going to cry.”
“Ignore him,” Zoya said through gritted teeth. “He’s not worth it.”

Phoenix Prime Anthologies
The last several months the people in my writing group Phoenix Prime have been not only learning to become better writing but creating great stories. Like myself, some of have published a story here or there. Starting this week the release of our anthologies has begun. No matter what type of stories you like you’ll be able to find the right anthology for you. From general fiction to romance. Science fiction, and fantasy and everything in-between. I’m proud to be in the Phoenix Galactic, and the soon to be released Flight of Phoenix, and the Goblin and the Grocer fairy tale retelling.

Hey Hey we published some superhero short stories
It’s been a while. I’ve been busy with both writing and my mentorship. Also, I’ve been dealing with my cat who was sick. Eventually, I had to put him down. That has been a struggle to deal with and left me distant. It has been a rough time for me, and my writing is what I fell back to.
As I adjust to that I wanted to let everyone know that I haven’t been completely idle. This month I published four short stories that all take place in my superhero world, The Ardent Saga. Each story is about a different person or group. I am rather proud of them. Each one had its challenges in writing but turned out great. I hope you enjoy them.
