Taking up the bed

For fun I’ve taken to sleeping at night at the end of the bed and sprawling out as much as possible. I leave the human very little room for him. It gives me great joy to see him in such awkward positions as he tries to get comfortable and sleep. In my few months here I’ve learned to find happiness in the little things. And that is one of them for me. The human is so funny when he can’t find the right position to sleep him. He needs to learn to sleep as I do. Any way possible. For now, it is purrfect watching him struggle.

A new litter box.

My fear came to fruition. The Lions were just humans pretending to be big kitties. They weren’t very good at it, they looked nothing like me. A very poor representation for cats everywhere. I mean really, blue?

I couldn’t take it so I went exploring and found this plant. The dirt in it looked like it would make a wonderful second poop box. I was about to christen it when the human spotted me and told me not to. For now, I will listen. But someday that will be mine.

Football and Lions

The human caught me sleeping. I’ll get him for that.

He has been talking about some thing called football this week and Lions playing a game. This interests me, I’ve always wanted to see my kitty cousins. But I fear this might be other humans pretending to be Lions. Either way, I’ll give it a watch, and cheer these Lions on for the human.

Catzilla

I’m Catzilla. My human’s brother this past week visited and said I looked like I was a little heavy. I couldn’t believe my ears. Blasphemy. I just like my food. But my human has decided to make sure I shed the extra fluff. I’m doing my best to get to the food. And doing so lets me wreck havoc on his tiny toys. I’ll get him back on track with his training.

Comfy spots and cleaning the human

The human left his drawers open this week, and I couldn’t resist. They provide a nice hiding place and a comfy bed.

I’ve also taken to show the human how to properly clean. He goes into  his little room and showers. When he is done, I make sure he did a good job. I can’t have my human in a substandard state. I’ve had to clean a few

spots he has missed on the top of his head, but otherwise, he is doing a good job.

Emerge Evanesce out today

The world is changing. People are changing.

Our latest book in the Emerge series is out today, Emerge Evanesce.  It is the follow-up to Emerge Cataclysm. For those who don’t know this is a prequel to the Ardent Saga and tells the story of how people gained superpowers.

Derek and I have been working hard to make Evanesce the best it could be. It’s taken longer than we hoped, but it is finally out. We have also had Cataclysm updated with some minor additions and upgrades to make it a better story to read.

Check them both out on Amazon in Kindle Unlimited.

The best places to rest

This week the training has gone well with the human. So much so I’ve decided to find some of the best places to relax when I’m not busy teaching my human new tricks.

Some of the best places are in closets. I really like the one in the human’s bedroom. It has a purrfect place for me to lay snuggle. In front, TV is also a meowtastic place. At least, when he isn’t using it.

It’s Raining Anthologies

This week Phoenix Prime has been busy with publishing several anthologies. They are very good and well worth reading.  They cover a wide range of stories and genres. I guarantee you’ll find an anthology that you’ll love.

Blood. Magic. Artifacts. Bookstores.

Bookstores and magic. Blood connections and strange artifacts.

The latest Phoenix Prime anthology it out, Prime Fantasy. My short story the Prophecy is in it. This is the first story in the Elementalist series, it is what sets up the novel An Absent Gale. If you read that and wanted to see the Prophecy being given now is your chance.

I love this anthology since it is one that both started a series for me, and how it is so fascinating to see how different peoples stories can be even though they start with the same basic outline or premise. That is the case with each story here. Everyone started with the same outline and wrote their story. Each one is unique and enjoyable to read.

A pleasant reminder that if you enjoy my Elementalist series, the short story Scheme of the Wind is in the Flight of the Phoenix anthology, and the Whirlwind of a Summer short is out to read as well.
