The third book in the Elementalist is out today.

Distorted Gust.

Magic. Training. And Danger.

What will await Alexi at Elementalist school this year? It surely can’t be any worse than the previous two.

Time with friends and school is all Alexi wants. But it is never that simple.

A False Warden arrives in the city. She is wrecking havoc on the world around Alexi and his friends. Can they find a way to prove she isn’t what she claims? Or will the city fall to her mercy?

Smuggle Life Book 3 Cut and Run

My latest book with TS Paul is out for your reading enjoyment. The third book in Smuggle life, Cut and Run.

A dream job…

Rea has always wanted to visit Mars, and now she is on her way. The Red Planet is all that she hoped for and more. However, she and her ship are there on business, not sightseeing. And what a business! Dealing with both pirates and the Navy at the same time is enough to make anyone stressed.

Not that the Rossi needs more challenge and excitement, but the balancing act that their customers force them into adds the spice of danger to the adrenaline rush of adventure as they complete their next job.

A job that surprises even them, while giving the whole crew things that they all want. Great rewards, risk to make them pause. The problem boils down to one thing.

Will the crew make it out alive?

More Attention Please

The human has been busy with his writing. So much so, that I had to force him to take a break. Though he is being good and not picking me up as much. My training of him must be working in that area. But I find myself a little more frisky at night. I’ve taken to interrupting his writing for fun. It’s my new favorite activity.

I also like to sleep on his rather humorous attempt at a map of his fantasy world. The paper is comfortable.

Modified and Modified Beginnings

My first two stories in my latest series Cyber Chronicles released yesterday. A short short, Modified Beginnings. That tells the tale of Ryan and why he went to the Street Level of Detroit.

I loved writing these stories.  I hope everyone enjoys them as much as I do.

The first novel, Modified released as well. A fun little cyberpunk romance story.  With Alex and Ryan, as they learn just how bad the world really is.

I’m back

The human has been so busy. He’s kept me from talking to you. I’ve let him know that I’m not happy. Both he and I have been busy. At times his training goes smoothly, and he remembers all he is supposed to. Then the human regresses for a day and picks me up. I pretend to like it, but it’s tough at times. The human tries, but I need to up my training of him.

Luna

A Magcial Awakening up for pre-order

The first book in Magical Awakening is getting close. Here is a snippet from A Magical Adventure, it’s up for pre-order now.

Gavin turned to Millie. “It’ll be great. A daring quest. A rescue. We’ll save Rafe. We will. Bards will boast of our exploits. Songs will be sung by every boy and girl. They’ll hope to be just like me, Gavin the Great.” He puffs out his chest.

Millie sighed and rolled her eyes. “Gavin the Great, huh? What about me? I think the girls would have better sense and want to be like me.” She smirked. “Some of the boys too. Remember that time I kicked—”

“I can think of a name for you,” he interrupted.

Millie liked to remind them all of how she once ever better them. She’d wrestled them all into submission. It had been the last time any of the guys wrestled with her. She was fiercely competitive. Too competitive.

“Let’s see…” he said, thinking furiously. “You would be…”

He paused to think. Millie was a strong, capable, tall girl. Her father had been a solider, and she was just like him. Hm.

Gavin grinned at her.

“Uh oh,” she said. “Am I going to want to hear this?” she asked.

He blinked a few times with fake hurt. “Yes. Who do you take me as?”

“Delusional,” she retorted.

“Maybe. How about Mighty Millie?”

She tilted her head to the side as if considering. Her hesitation didn’t last long before she grinned broadly.

“I do like that. And Rafe. I know what he’ll be known as,” she said excitedly. “Rafe the Rascal!”

Gavin grinned, even though sadness and guilt were beginning to eat away at him. They shouldn’t dawdle much longer.

“That’s perfect,” he said.

The two of them glanced at each other and then at Ethan. He was still thinking hard.

That was what Ethan was, a thinker. So intelligent. He was smarter than some of the adults.

Which gave Gavin an idea.

“How about Elder Ethan?” he asked quietly.

“I heard that,” Ethan said.

Gavin winced. Ethan did seem to be able to eavesdrop while working out a problem in his mind.

“It does fit you,” Millie pointed out.

Ethan nodded. “I guess so. Can we continue? I would like to see Rafe.”

Gavin cleared his throat. “Yes. Let’s move.”

Millie rolled her eyes. Ethan just shook his head and began to walk again. Gavin felt a little embarrassed. Here he was, thinking how great he was and Rafe was still in a coma and they hadn’t set out on their quest yet. He was getting ahead of himself.

“Any news?” he asked hopefully.

Millie and Ethan both shrugged.

“You know as well as I do there’s been no word,” Millie replied.

Gavin knew it. Rafe hadn’t been sick that long, but the Sage had spent most of his time at the farm. That wasn’t a good sign. What if Rafe didn’t have much time? Gavin worried that they might not be able to save him. It wouldn’t be easy to find magic. Some people, long ago, had dedicated their entire lives to finding magic. They all failed. How could three kids hope to find it in time to heal their friend?

We have to. And maybe the artifact appearing is a sign. Maybe it means that magic is returning.

He sure hoped that was the case.

It wasn’t as if they had no starting point. Gavin’s father and Ethan’s for that matter frequented the tavern. There, Gavin overheard all kinds of things including rumors about magic. Supposedly, someone had seen a griffin in Lost Man’s Grove. Griffins had died out when magic had. For one to reappear now was definitely suspicious. If they could befriend the griffin, maybe the griffin could tell them were the source of magic was.

Lost Man’s Grove was the country south of the Realm of Mithril. There were five countries within all of Magicae. A huge, vast singular body of seawater surrounded them known as the Waters.

Reaching Lost Man’s Grove would not be an easy task. The Mighty Wall of Mithril just beyond the Slayers Range were just as good at keeping people in as keeping them out.

At the edge of the Kellers’ farm, Gavin saw Rafe’s family. Many were working the farm. He was sure the missing ones were inside tending to Rafe. Those gathered there looked up when they noticed the trio approaching.

“Kids,” Mrs. Keller said. She wiped her forehead from sweat. “You can come inside, but nothing’s changed.”

Gavin nodded. That wasn’t what he wanted to hear even if it was to be expected. He had hoped for more, and he would continue to cling to that hope.

Grand Opening

The second book in my friend’s Badger Hole Bar series is out now, Grand Opening. Taki asked me and a few others to help write small parts for her. Each of use created a different character for her.

Alastair was born. Hopefully, everyone enjoys the character as much as I do. He was fun to write. A very intriguing one. So many layers to him.

Happy reading.
