Julia Buckley is a Chicago-area writer. She has written three mystery series with Berkley Prime Crime, including the best-selling Writer's Apprentice Series, which Mystery Scene calls "engaging, enjoyable, and surprising," while Kirkus dubs it "pleasantly old-fashioned." The Library Journal called Buckley "a writer to watch."

Buckley is a member of Sisters in Crime, Mystery Writers of America, and the Chicago Writers Association. She blogs about writing and mysteries at Mysterious Musings, where she has interviewed almost 200 other mystery writers about their work.

She teaches high school English and enjoys reading, playing Words With Friends, and spending time with her husband and two sons, along with their menagerie of animals.

Spooky and suspenseful. And always nice to see the regular characters growing older and wiser.

The plot is grim, but the writing is great, and Robotham knows how to keep readers from putting down a book!

Julia Buckley liked an answer from Michael Robotham: I have read all 7 of the Joseph O'Loughlin series of books and enjoyed them immensely. Will there be more books in this series? You have created a wonderful character who is enhanced by his friendship with Vincent Ruiz and I am sure many of your readers would welcome books about both/either of these men. There will definitely be more books with Joe and Vincent. I've spent the past few months hanging out with them - working on a story for next year. They don't live in my house, but they have set up temporary camp in my head. Michael Robotham
