Why Does ㅅ Appear Between Words? | Korean FAQ
Ever seen a word with a ㅅ in the middle, seemingly randomly?
This usage is called 사이시옷 ("between ㅅ") and works like the 의 particle to connect compound nouns together.
In this episode I share how it's used and what it means, and some common words that use it. I also talk about how you can use it yourself (or if you even should).

Getting Rid of Anxiety Speaking Korean
Most people don't know this, but I wasn't always comfortable in front of the camera. In fact I had pretty bad camera shyness when I first started my YouTube channel.
But it doesn't stop there. I also went through a lot of anxiety trying to practice my Korean. I'd feel nervous just starting to speak, and although I eventually got a lot of practice and studying it took a lot longer than it should have.
In this week's newest video I share my experiences going through anxiety, dealing with it, and how I was able to sort of overcome it (at least to where I am right now).

The Many Meanings of 네 and 응 | Korean FAQ
How many different ways do you know to use 네 ("yes") in Korean?
네 can also be used when answering the phone to say "hello," and it can even be used to mean "no" in some situations.

Korean Test Practice with Billy [Ep. 24] – Advanced Korean (Listening Practice)
It's time for an advanced Korean level test question... but you can give this a try if you're any level. If you're able to understand this example completely, then you're probably at the advanced level.
Here is the listening example:
오늘도 저희 매장을 찾아주신 고객 여러분 안녕하십니까. 10분 뒤 1층 매장에서 저희 마트 개업 5주년 기념 특가 판매가 시작될 예정입니다. 이번 할인 행사는 선착순으로 진행되며 모든 상품은 각각 50개씩 준비되어 있습니다. 대표적인 판매 상품으로는 고빌리 셔츠, 고빌리 모자, 고빌리 인형이 있습니다. 자세한 목록은 각 층 엘리베이터 옆에서 확인하실 수 있습니다. 또한 오늘 매장을 찾아주신 어린이 손님들을 위해 풍선과 소정의 선물을 준비하였으니 계산 시 직원에게 말씀해 주시길 부탁드립니다. 오늘도 저희 매장에서 행복한 쇼핑하시길 바랍니다. 감사합니다.

For our leading sale items we have Go Billy shirts, Go Billy hats, and Go Billy dolls. You can check a detailed list in front of the elevator on each floor. In addition, we’ve prepared balloons and a small gift for the children who’ve visited our store today, so we ask you to please tell an employee at the time when you make your purchases. "There's no way" 리가 없다, 길이 없다 | Live Class Abridged
Did you miss Sunday's live stream? While the live streams will move much more slowly, and sometimes give more explanation for things (due to time) as well as more audience interaction, not everyone's able to make it due to time zones or busy schedules. But that's okay! Because every single live stream also comes together with an edited (and shortened) version that you can watch at any time.
In Sunday's live stream we learned how to use the forms 리가 없다, 길이 없다, and several variations of those.

It's been too long. - starting this week we'll have a new "Korean FAQ" episode every week (when available). I've wanted to make this video ever since I did the video giving a Korean test to Koreans.
며칠 or 몇일? Which is the correct one, and which is the fake?
One of them comes from the other, and one of them is completely made up... but which is correct and which is wrong?
Okay, I'm not much for clickbait so 며칠 is the correct one and 몇일 is the wrong one. But you can watch my video to find out why.

Learn Korean Ep. 113: (으)나 마나 and 봤자 “No Matter”
Keykat wanted to play darts with me, and just for fun we decided to make a bet. I'm secretly a master at darts, so there's no way she can win.
This lesson covers the grammar forms (으)나 마나 and 봤자, which have many similarities but can't be used in the same ways.

겸, 겸사겸사 | Live Class Abridged [Advanced Level]
This past Sunday I held an Advanced Level Korean grammar lesson about 겸.
We learned how to use 겸 with nouns, 겸(해서) with verbs, and 겸사겸사 in sentences.
All 3 of these grammar forms are for advanced usage, and require already being comfortable with intermediate grammar forms.

이따가 and 있다가 – What’s the Difference? | Korean FAQ
Long time no see, "Korean FAQ" series! I filmed this last year actually, right after making the video where I gave a Korean test to Koreans in Seoul.
Well after that video I got this comment:
I though you couldn't say "좀 이따"
'좀 이따가 갈게'는 '좀 조금 지난 뒤에 볼게'라는 의미가 되어 '조금'이라는 의미가 중복됩니다. 그러나 '이따가 보자'라는 표현은 가능합니다. 결론적으로 '좀'과 함께 쓰실 때에는 '좀 있다가 갈게'라고 쓰시면 됩니다"
[That] is what I found online o.O So is it 좀 이따 or 좀 있다?
So that led me to re-research this topic and share my findings.
