Did you see what I did in the title there? You like that right?Well,I thought it was funny.Have you been following all the exciting news coming back from the Perseverance Rover?Like theAudio Recordingof the rover landing onMars.(I geeked out on it but I feel most people won't.)There is a3d Panoramic Viewof the landing site.Plus, you can zoom in on the rover itself so you can take a good look at different sections of the craft close up.Then,of courseNASAalways has theImage Gallerywith photosand short movie clips of the rover going through its check list.Lots of photos of the surface ofMarstoo! This set of images shows parts of the robotic arm on NASA’s Perseverance rover flexing and turning during its first checkout after landing on Mars. These images were taken by Perseverance’s Navigation Cameras on March 3, 2021. If that's not enough to float your boat, soon thePerseverance Roverwill be releasing, for the first time on another planet,a helicopter to fly in theMar's Atmosphere. If you would like to watch a live public talk on helicopters in space, you can go toNASA's YouTube Channelfor that exciting briefing. This is,I Have Been A Geek For This Stuff Since The Original Star Trek TV Show Came Out On September 8th, 1966Jim Hauenstein And, “Why a journey into space? It Could Happen To Anyone

Like I said,it could happen to you too!My youngest daughter has started looking up recipes on the internetand cooking them for our evening dinner. The first dish she came up with wasQuiche. Her recipe called for bacon, onions, and parmesan cheese.I ate most of it because it was so goodand I am afraid I might be loosing weight during this pandemic. Her next haute cuisine which tickled my taste buds wasFrench Onion Soup. The only secret ingredient in this recipe is dry white wine.I wanted the whole bottle poured into the soup but of course I was voted down.
So then I thought I would throw my cooking skills into the mix.Since I haven't had it in such a long time I thought I would makeMeatloaf.A tradition at my household while growing up.My daughter found a simple recipe for me,because she ate my cooking growing up,and I went at it.I followed the recipe but made just one alteration. It called for one and one half pounds of hamburger. What am I going to do with a half pound? So I put two pounds in.I already had a 5 by 9 inch bread pan so I mixed all the ingredients togetherand put it in my pan.Set my oven at 350 degreesand waited one hour. You know why the recipe only called for a pound and a half?Because when hamburger is cooking it makes grease! Now,right now,I have to goand clean the oven. This is,No I Did Not Make The Vegetables, Gravy, Or Mashed Potatoes By ScratchJim Hauenstein And, “An idealist is one who, on noticing that a rose smells better than a cabbage, concludes that it makes a better soup.”

A Few Of Today's Slang

I got my secondCovid Vaccinationshot this week. This time around though I became awfully sick.I guess it's not uncommon to get the symptoms of havingCovidsince they put a small amount of virus in the vaccine. But I am back to entertain you with some teenage slang go around today. Shhhhhhh.I stole this fromNPR's Ask Me Another Christmas Party of 2020.If you don't tell them I won't have to pay any royalties. The first lingo from the youth of today is the phrase;Full Send.Meaning, you are going whole hogor if you are going to send a textand your not sure if you should send it,you go for it.You go

Okay,my explanations are going to be dated.Next word isSlaps.Meaning;this songSlaps.Or,say you in a carand someone says play some music. You will say;"Play Some Music That Slaps."Next one is;Left On Read. The wordReadis past tense here.Sounding like the word red.Meaning;on yourAndroidoriPhoneyou can set up a notification with family and friends to see if they haveReadyour text message!Wow,how paranoid do you have to be to worry if someone hasReadyour messageand how long it takes for them to respond?Lighten Up Parents!

I Don't Hate Tom Brady Anymore

I was trying to think of something new to write about today because, personally,I believe it would be healthier for me.So I am going to put done an idea I have had since theSuperbowl.I am going to say this only once loudand clear so everyone can hear.I don't hateTom Bradyanymore!Super Bowl 2021 Recap: Tom Brady does it again, as Buccaneers dominate Chiefs 31-9 - Dawgs By Nature
Yes,you heard me.He has proved to me that he is,until someone beats his record, the best quarterback ever to play in theNFL.I know, each era has had great quarterbacks, but you can't make comparisons because the game keeps evolving. Now all youGreen Bay Packersfans who are trying to take away myCheese-Head Monikeraway from me,hold on a minute.Aaron Rodgersis also a great quarterbackand he could of have had two moreSuperbowl Ringsif his head coach,Matt LaFleur, hadn't personally lost the last twoNFC Championship Games. But what I want to bring is the fact that winning franchises think they win championships because of the ownerand head coach, not because of the players.Let me begin withMichael Schumacher. He wonSeven World ChampionshipsinFormula 1.Five consecutive titles for Ferrari during the 2000's.But after he won his last title,Ferraridecided he was getting too oldand asked him to retire. They won one more championship in 2007 withKimi Räikkönenbut haven't won anything since. The Chicago Bulls are another great example of the owners believing the team is better than the superstar players. After winningSix NBA Championships, they decided to let go of their superstar,Micheal Jordan. They haven't won a championship since.Do you see a trend here? Now comesThe New England Patriots. The teamTom Bradyused to play for. It's funny when you get rid of yourSuperstar Quarterbackand then you don't even make the playoffs!Nice moveNew England. Now I am looking forward to at least ten more years of thePatriotsnever winning antherChampionship.

I Am Now Waiting For The Fifth Stage

I didn't think that my last article was going to effect me the way it has. It has enlighten me that I am going through the Seven Stages Of Grief. The last time I got to see my wife in the hospital, before she died, I refused to let her go. I was in Denial. Of course, right afterwards I was in the Guilt Stage. I kept thinking, What I could I have done to prevent her from getting sick in the first place? Then I became Angry. I know Temecula Valley Hospital had failed her. I became angry with their lack of empathy and their treatment of her. Just one example; My son was on the phone with his Mom when she first got into the hospital and he could hear a Nurse yelling at her because she didn't have time to waste while she was talking on the phone! I will always recommend getting a second opinion when their Doctors & Nurses give you a recommendation for treatment. Then, after I wrote my article about them, I became Depressed. The loneliness really kicked in when I started writing the post because I had to think about what was really going on in my life. Now I am waiting for the next stage, which some websites are calling The Upward Turn. And I quote one such site, As you start to adjust to life without your dear one, your life becomes a little calmer and more organized. Your physical symptoms lessen, and your “depression” begins to lift slightly. This is the part of the grieving process that you’ll start to see the light a bit at the end of the tunnel. It’s a middle ground of all the grief symptoms that you’ll go through but it’s one that you can build upon. If anyone reading this article knows, my life will become calmer and more organize with the passing of Julieta. But I don't want it to. I loved her fiery nature, her unpredictability, her drama, learning how her culture is different then mine, hearing all those vulgarities yelled at me in Tagalog, and so on. All the things in my life that kept boredom from creeping in. I will miss our life together. Rest In Peace Honey and I will see when I get to the other side.Blog - The Death Of The Headphone Jack: Seven Stages Of Grief This is,I Am Waiting For The Fifth Stage To Hit MeBut The Two Stages I haven't Mentioned AreReconstruction & AcceptanceJim Hauenstein And, “They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for.”

Temecula Valley Hospital Gets An F Grade

I have been thinking about writing on how badly my wife was treated at Temecula Valley Hospital for a long time now. If she wasn't mistreated the first time I brought her into the Emergency Room on January 13th maybe she would be alive today. I told the attending male nurse everything wrong with her. When she was released, I was given her exit papers and nothing I said to the nurse was relayed to the ER Doctor. She was waiting to see a Doctor for at least 3 hours in the waiting room. Then she was released 15 minutes later with the diagnosis of being dehydrated. Then on January 18th I had to call for an ambulance because by then she had stopped eating, had a temperature, and couldn't walk on her own any longer. She was tested for Covid-19 immediately and it came back positive the next day. By then it was too late. She went from weighing 100 lbs. to 75 lbs. in less than a week. They just couldn't her back from the edge of death. The first few days in the hospital she was able to talk to people on the phone and eat some of the food they furnished. But she soon deteriorated into getting a tube down her throat so they could help her breath and feeding her intravenously. Of course nobody could talk to her then. Finally, after 3 cardiac arrests, and no hope of recovery, they pulled the plug as they say, and she passed away on February 4th.*****I love you honey. Rest In Peace****You have probably heard that the United States has the best Healthcare System in the world. That is a straight out lie perpetrated by the Healthcare Industry itself. And don't believe what you see on TV and the Movies where every Doctor and Nurse cares for you and fights until the last minute to save your life. That's not the real world. Just ask some of your extended family members and friends. You will be surprised how many stories people will have on how someone was mistreated, missed diagnosed, and soon died because of it. The problem is, hospitals are no longer administered locally. Temecula Valley Hospital is owned and operated by Universal Health Services, Inc. "A Pennsylvania based company that is one of the largest healthcare management companies in the nation." You don't get that lofty distinction by spending money to save lives. You get it by figuring out that if you can get a steady flow of individuals to coming into your hospitals ER and send those people home with a handful of prescriptions, you don't have to use your main hospital facilities on Them. You can charge a hefty co-pay from each person and a large sum to their insurance companies. In this way, the rest of the hospital facilities, which generate low profits, can sit unused. Plus, everyone working in the ER is taught apathy, not empathy. "You will burn yourself out if you care too much!" I actually heard two nurses talking the last time I was in the ER who were saying, "Its not my job." Second nurse. "So we are going to let people die?" First nurse again. "Its not my job." Second nurse. "So people will die." The first nurse suddenly turns around and walks away. I heard this in the Covid ward of the hospital because I had the Covid-19 virus the same time as my wife did.***Now you might be asking yourself, "Why don't I sue?" Well, someone who is more affluent than I told me of their experience with the whole process and lawyers that a Management Company keeps on hand to squash any attempt at winning a verdict favorable to you. The best you can do is complain and that what I am going to do.**This first site I believe is universal between all states and I am positive each state has a Medical Board and Department Of Public Health you can look up to send in your own complaints. Don't be intimidated. If you don't say something, nothing will ever change!

Carl Sagan

In celebrating the landingand wonderful photos ofMarsbyPerseverance,I like to re-post quotes from one of my idols.
 *****
“We are star stuff harvesting sunlight.”
“I worry that, especially as the Millennium edges nearer, pseudoscience and superstition will seem year by year more tempting. The siren song of un-reason more sonorous and attractive. Where have we heard it before? Whenever our ethnic or national prejudices are aroused, in times of scarcity, during challenges to national self-esteem or nerve, when we agonize about our diminished cosmic place and purpose, or when fanaticism is bubbling up around us - then, habits of thought familiar from ages past reach for the controls.”
"Science is based on experiment, on a willingness to challenge old dogma, on an openness to see the universe as it really is."
“In the way that skepticism is sometimes applied to issues of public concern, there is a tendency to belittle, to condescend, to ignore the fact that, deluded or not, supporters of superstition and pseudoscience are human beings with real feelings, who, like the skeptics, are trying to figure out how the world works and what our role in it might be. Their motives are in many cases consonant with science. If their culture has not given them all the tools they need to pursue this great quest, let us temper our criticism with kindness.”
“National boundaries are not evident when we view the Earth from space.”
“I don't think science is hard to teach because humans aren't ready for it, or because it arose only through a fluke, or because, by and large, we don't have the brainpower to grapple with it. Instead, the enormous zest for science that I see in first-graders and the lesson from the remnant hunter-gatherers both speak eloquently: A proclivity for science is embedded deeply within us, in all times, places, and cultures. It has been the means for our survival. It is our birthright. When, through indifference, inattention, incompetence, or fear of skepticism, we discourage children from science, we are disenfranchising them, taking from them the tools needed to manage their future.”
“Every aspect of Nature reveals a deep mystery and touches our sense of wonder and awe.”
“Arguments from authority carry little weight – authorities have made mistakes in the past. They will do so again in the future. Perhaps a better way to say it is that in science there are no authorities; at most, there are experts.”
"Gullibility kills."
"Every now and then, I'm lucky enough to teach a kindergarten or first-grade class. Many of these children are natural-born scientists - although heavy on the wonder side, and light on skepticism. They're curious, intellectually vigorous. Provocative and insightful questions bubble out of them. They exhibit enormous enthusiasm. I'm asked follow-up questions. They've never heard of the notion of a 'dumb question'."
“Science is not only compatible with spirituality; it is a profound source of spirituality.”

"Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence."
“Who is more humble? The scientist who looks at the universe with an open mind and accepts whatever the universe has to teach us, or somebody who says everything in this book must be considered the literal truth and never mind the fallibility of all the human beings involved?”“I don't want to believe. I want to know.”
“The beauty of a living thing is not the atoms that go into it, but the way those atoms are put together.”

“I believe our future depends on how well we know this Cosmos in which we float, like a mote of dust, in the morning sky.”
“If we long for our planet to be important, there is something we can do about it. We make our world significant by the courage of our questions and by the depth of our answers.”
“المزاعم الاستثنائية، تحتاج إلى أدلة استثنائية”

Fun At Parties

All acrossAmerica,I mean in theUnited States, people are having fun with these local government websites.
While potential companions are checking up on you before your first date,  your next employer is looking to see if you are a good fit for their company. What am I talking about?Am I talking about yourFacebookpage, where you put up those degrading pictures of yourself at aNew Year Evesparty? No,but that is bad too.
What I am talking about is your localCounty Sheriff'swebsites!Sheriff Departments, all across this land have information about you, your friends, and your family.Which isPublic Information.Meaning, anyone can look it up,free of charge!I will give you some examples in my local area. For instant,inSan Diegowe have;Arrest Warrants.Yes,you can look up that deadbeatDad,who doesn't pay his child support to see if he has aWarrantout for hisArrest. And if he does,go to their"Submit a Tip" web-page,to give any information you have,Anonymously. They prefer hearing about one drug addict turning in another, but they will happily take any information you have.Another fun web-page I like to use at parties, when someone doesn't show up is to see"Who's in Jail."This one is from theRiverside County Sheriff's DepartmentinCalifornia. You can see theirArrest Date,Bail,Court Date,Charges, andRelease DateImage result for who's in jail riverside county Now,isn't this fun?If you really want to party,Court Recordsare available asPublic Information
too!
