A few book updates
It’s been quiet from me for a while. Sorry about that. So here’s a little update from the last weeks.
First, the wonderful UK-based blogger Tattooed Mummy was so kind to feature me at her blog with a interview a few weeks ago, see here, where I talk about myself, my writing, my favourite authors, what I am reading at the moment and much more. I had such a good time answering these questions.
Second, African Monsters has had some attention recently. Storyological has a lovely take on Nick Wood...

New review of my debut book
“Any of these stories could be read on their own, but they make up a haunting tale when taken as a whole. This is a beautiful collection that demands a re-read.”
My debut book The Stars Seem So Far Away received a lovely review from Kate Coe today. It can be read here.
Thank you for the kind words!

African Monsters – new review and article
African Monsters has received a few lovely mentions lately.
First Ed Fortune at Starburst Magazine gave it a very kind review, see here. He writes: “This anthology does its damnedest to explore the myths and legends from one massive continent. Not only does it do this quite well, but it also showcases the talents of writers you may not have had the chance to read much of. Editor’s Margrét Helgadóttir & Jo Thomas have done a remarkable job of not only assembling a list of thematically strong s...

Bookshy reviews African Monsters
“It’s an almost who’s who of African SFF in 198 glorious pages. I also love that it has male and female writers and artists, but also stories with LGBT characters and some strong ass female protagonists.”
African Monsters received a very lovely review from bookshy today: “Five reasons why I loved ‘African Monsters.'” See here.
Thank you!
