From the pages of : 'Joy of the Gospel' by Pope Francis

As we come to the realities of the happenings around us, one can only bear in mind the life God has given us and the graces and blessings that make their way to us. So, too, we don't lose sight of the people around us. People that are hurting and suffering. We give thanks, in a breath of gratefulness and gratitude. Our prayers are heard by the Lord and we are edified.

In this section Pope Francis gives us to know the efficacy of God's grace and mercy. How we come to be part it of whether we are on the receiving end, on the giving end or even on the sidelines looking on.

'A people for everyone...
112. The salvation which God offers us is the work of his mercy. No human efforts, however, good they may be, can enable us to merit so great a gift. God, by his sheer grace draws us to himself and makes us one with him. He sends His Spirit into our hearts to make us his children, transforming us and enabling us to respond to his love by our lives. The Church is sent by Jesus Christ as the sacrament of the salvation offered by God. Through her evangelizing activity, she cooperates as an instrument of that divine grace which works unceasingly and inscrutably. Benedict XVI put it nicely at the beginning of the Synod's reflections: "It is important always to know that the first word, the true initiative, the true activity comes from God and only by inserting ourselves into the divine initiative, only begging for this divine initiative, shall we too be able to become-with him and in him-evangelizers." This principle of the primacy of grace must be a beacon which constantly illuminates our reflections on evangelization.'

Reading the above was enlightening to know the encouragement that the Lord gives us. We listen. Our only response is to receive in our hearts and pass it on. It's a work of faith that we step forward...
Blessings for the evening. :)

Beauty of Faith

As we enjoy our Saturday, let us reflect on the beauty of faith.

When Jesus talked about faith, He knew that it was among us. All we had to do is use our senses to help our unbelief to believe. Jesus teaches us how to believe and the Holy Spirit is at work within us bringing it to fruition.

There is a reason to believe that faith has a way of working and weaving its beauty into our lives.

Nature has a way of reminding us that there is a faith at work among us. It has a way of basking in that realm. Soaking up this goodness that feeds its purpose.

In order to believe, we have to have something that helps our unbelief. Something tangible that touches our 5 senses: see, hear, touch, taste, and smell. Something happens to us when our senses become part of this work of faith.
Our responses, are positive because that unknown place will become a known place and we can see it or touch it. If there is a negative response, then, there was no connection and there is still unbelief, which tends to be a product of unwillingness.

Book of St. James: 'So also faith of itself, if it does not have works, is dead.'

Nature's inner workings are really based on what it was created to do. Our knowledge also plays a part in the workings of faith.

Roses are one of my favorite flowers. When you plant the bulb of a rose in rich soil, it has only but to grow up into a beautiful rose. This is because it was created to grow to be a rose. The beauty of the rose is that it comes in different shapes, colors, types, and sizes. It does all this, without losing its identity of being a rose. This identity gives it authenticity. Our senses our captivated by its beauty and we respond in saying 'what a beautiful rose'. It is known to be the queen of all flowers and is one of the most beautiful and popular flowers around. Hence, the rose has fulfilled it's purpose it was created for. Its Creator is then glorified!

When faith is at work among us, something positive always comes out of it. That is the beauty of faith. In essence faith is good. Let us connect our good within us to the faith that is at work among us.

Book of Hebrews 'Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and the evidence of things not seen'.
Blessings!

Monday Musings!

Going through my day, I was musing along and a few things just keep popping up in my mind.
The thing that kept popping up was how time kind of closes in on you. All the little things or important things that you either put off or had to return to, shows up to be handled in some form or fashion.
So, I pretty much can tell now how my month is going to be like. I'm either going to catch up on things I put off, revisit things that didn't work the first time I tried them (funny), and make sure to accomplish some new things that came up to do. I was feeling a little disappointed earlier, but now there is really nothing to be disappointed about because things always have a way of working itself out.
When my day goes like this, that little scripture that I love comes up:
Romans 8:28-8:29 Everything works for the greater good for those that love God and are called to his purpose. (paraphrased)
You know what, God takes all the glory in all we do! A little wisdom...
Blessings for the week!

Journals are great for writing. I kept journals for a good number of years. Writing in them my daily or weekly happenings. Then return to read them. You learn a lot about yourself & others this way. All aspects of your own life etc. You learn not to live on stage so much. Its a great way of unloading yourself without interruptions as one would say. Enjoy!

Saint Martha

Gospel of Luke...accounts her faith...
Dear and loving friend of our Savior Jesus Christ.
A woman much loved by her Savior.
Her welcoming and loving way touch our Savior's Sacred Heart.
Her hospitality was gracious.

Finding Martha and her sister Mary, Jesus knew these women were kind.

Special Visit
One time when Jesus came to visit Martha & Mary in Bethany...
Martha stayed preparing the meal, while Mary stayed listening to Jesus and keeping Him company.
Mary listening to Jesus attentively, is drawn to His teaching, word's of wisdom, and Jesus's presence.
Martha's request to the Lord, for Mary to help her prepare the meal, was gently admonished.
See, Jesus knew that Martha's worrying was distracting her from enjoying the visit.
Our Lord knew that He would not be with them for too long.
Mary was keeping Jesus company and enjoying the visit with Him.
Jesus loved both Mary and Martha.
They loved Jesus too.
Martha was preparing the meal for the Lord out of a loving heart.
However, Jesus knew the greater meal was Himself.
Jesus found two homes in Martha and Mary. A physical home and a home in their hearts.
When Jesus touches our hearts, our positive response, tends to welcome Him in.
What a loving and gentle savior we have.
Saint Martha, pray for us, so that we do not let anything distract us from making a loving home for our Lord.

It’s been three months!

It’s been three months since this title was published. I am learning the journey. Building a platform is not easy, but you just encouraging yourself and know who you wrote the story for. This what matters the most. So, three months later, this is what I learned. The journey continues.

Our Lives

Imagine going about your daily routine. In a given day you know your time.

Each portion of your day is set aside for an activity.

On a daily basis we have activities set aside for an appropriate cause.

Each day the same.

Sometimes we may change our activity, because of our dictates of our

connections and our activities.

Days turn to weeks.

Weeks turn to months.

Months turn to years.

Years turn to decades.

When we look back, there is a wonder at

where did the time go.
