Wings of Hope

Soaring through the sky, above the plush clouds,
flight of this adventure overtakes me.
My eyes are fixed on the Sun before me.
Never looking down or to my right or to my left.
The wind carries me, there is no fear to distract me.

Nourished by the light of grace, filled with eternal joy, I began to slowly descend.

Hope brings me to land on these soft green pastures.
Flowers of joy, sustains me.

Strength & courage carry me forward. A new day, a new gift, and a new adventure to take on.

Wings of hope.

Holy Saturday, Laying in Silence

*Triduum reflection*

Our Lord's body rests in silence.
A rest so needed.
A rest...on Sabbath Day...
Fulfilling the law...

Soul and spirit are with God.
In mission to fulfill ancient tradition
Saints of old need rescuing.
Descending to the dead, Our Lord
fulfills...

Returning to still rest.
In preparation, for a new mission.
He brings with Him a little helper messenger of
good hope.

Rest in silence...
Soul, spirit, and body reunite.
All is restored.
All is made new.
Treachery and horror of the past gone
& written in history...

Our Lord rests in silence.
A new life awaits.
A new covenant in mission.
A new heavenly work to complete.

Resurrection comes!

Holy Thursday, In Remembrance of Me

"Triduum, a reflection"

A Holy day.
A day in remembrance.
A day when salvation was sealed in a
new covenant.

Passover Feast.
A Judaic tradition of God's protection over the Hebrew people.
Doorposts are marked by the blood of the lamb, first born male...
Instructions from God, a call to obedience.

Passover Feast, with Jesus and disciples.
A new covenant awaits.
God's new family takes form.
Table of Plenty prepared for us.
Bread and wine in place.
Disciples are all present and whole, but one whose presence is not whole.
Judas, betrayal takes hold of him.
Judas, '...whatever you have to do, do it quickly...'
Judas, unfortunate loss of faith.
Unfortunate loss...

Lord Supper, Last Supper.
Meal is presented, Eucharist
Jesus consecrates the bread
Giving thanks, He broke bread and says,
'...this is my body given up for you, do this in remembrance of me...'
Jesus takes the cup consecrates the wine
Giving thanks and drank and says,
'...this is a new convenant in my blood, do this in remembrance of me.'
A healing to the body & soul, Holy Spirit..

Eucharist
A thanksgiving, made perfect by Our Lord.
An adoration of love.
Instituted for our redemption.
Instituted in Holy Communion.
Instituted for love.
Nourishment eternal with an unending grace.
Drives one to repentance.
A sacrament of mercy & love.

Washing of the feet...
Our Lord prepares to wash the feet of His disciplines.
Our Lord's message in action.
'Do as I do.'
We are called to look after each other in need.
A connection with the Greatest Commandment.

Priesthood of Christ
A shepherd's call to feed the sheep.
A call of consecration in the works of Christ.
A life's dedication, spiritual fatherhood.
A life's dedication on a journey of faith.
Holy Spirit guidance, an anointing.
Eucharistic adoration a nourishment to the priest of Christ.

Desert Blooms

A Lenten Reflection

Dry parched earth under my feet.
Solar rays make contact on my skin.
My mind seems relaxed, yet it
does wander backwards.
Thoughts of yesteryear creep up
triggering pain and hurts that
I long to forget.
My present is strained by the pull
of negative moments of past
experiences.

Son's encounter awakens my desolation.
His holy face...interrupts my wandering mind.
Bringing a healing quiet that stills
my thoughts...
In the distance, I hear 'be still and know that I AM God'...
A peace enters my mind & new thoughts
take the place of what was before...
Peace of mind reigns inspiring a wellspring of hope...

Precepts of the Lord sustains me and gives me protection...

I behold the Son's face shining with rays of light...
All discouragement gone, and new joy is my consolation....
Son leads me onward to a beautiful oasis teeming with green foliage and flowers of every kind growing from a carpet of grassy meadow.
Deep blue lagoon with waterfall splashing...beckons me for a swim...
'Not yet', I whisper.
In a little while, with childlike abandon, I unstrap my sandals and plunge into the waters of the deep blue lagoon.
I see the myriad types of fresh water fish, different colors & hues swimming alongside of me.
Some are luminescent alighting the space around them.. others glistening in the water, as if sun's rays are sprinkling shimmers on them.
What awe inspiring sight, at what my Creator has given me.

In a new moment, my sight fulfilled and my being made whole, I pulled upward above the waters into a new element.
Fresh air fills my lungs as I breathe it in.
A 'ruah' if you will.
Only my Lord knows this sanctity.
I swam back to shore, only to find set a campfire crackling with the sound of fire wood burning.
I settle near the campfire and to my amazement, my daily meal is ready, prepared for me (a picnic).
After enjoying the fruits of my amazement, a sweet fragrance tickles my senses...
leading me to a new place....
There before me stands, a Garden of roses inviting me to take a seat and drink in its beauty.
Rest embraces me until tomorrow, as I slumber in my Creator's castle.
A new day awaits as we come to an end of a present transformation...
The desert blooms!

Divine Love In Its Eternal Glory

A Valentine’s Tale
Pure love knows no boundaries, it is unconditional.
Pure love is grace incarnate, we respond in thankfulness.
Pure love embraces the soul and the soul is loved.
Pure love captivates the heart, making its abode.
Pure love does not offend, it is consoling.
Pure love is…

A One who is sacred and pure has love eternal.
A One who is sanctity knows the soul’s unrest.
A One who is all-knowing, can quench the thirst within.
A One who is light, brings new life.

The divine is something of faith that cannot be revealed in the natural.
The divine is given to hope when despair is near.
The divine is present when belief is ignited.
The divine came to being, when the Word Made Flesh, was born.
The divine rest among us those who believe in the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
The divine’s glory is man’s awakening to his true self.

Into the Great I-AM, we come to know things beyond ourselves.
Existence is a reality that is mysterious in thought.
It takes time to drink in, what is before us.
It takes time to drink in, the miracles of life.
We stop to listen to the noise around us,
but the true noise is within.
We notice life passing us by, catch it up, before a memory takes its place.

Our quiet moments bring us back to Divine Love.
Awakening us again to what really matters.
Love’s song rings in our hearts.
Love’s song bring a remembrance of a beautiful happening.
Love’s song is divine love in its eternal glory!

The Sanctity of Grace

In the light of Truth

Grace is pure and undefined.
It is sanctity.
It is pure love, unconditional.
It comes from a place unimagined.
It is not secular in nature.
The gift of grace is not something earned.
The gift of grace comes from charity.
It is not what we are part of, but what we are connected to.

To embrace grace is to say 'Thank You' with a grateful heart.
To open the door of grace, faith is the beginning.
To encounter the author of grace, is to encounter the Giver of all things.
Grace is the fruit of the Word that dwelt among us.
Happy grace to you!

HAPPY NEW YEAR, 2015!

Aaaaahhhhh!

The New Year has come upon us and we receive it very well with open arms.

No matter where we are, it's okay! Because the scent of the new year is like breathing in beautiful fresh sweet flowers carpeting a grassy meadow. The sun shining its light through a clear blue sky. Scattered clouds make way for this new beginning. We marvel at this new year full of possibilities. Blessings in abundance. Good health. Prosperity in our works. Increased faith, as we continue in our relationship with Jesus, Our Lord.

So, HAPPY NEW YEAR, 2015! To you and yours. God bless!

Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God

In our faith, Jan 1st is a day we celebrate the Blessed Mother in her yes to carry the baby Jesus (our beloved Savior) in her womb.
It glorifies the Lord that we venerate the woman HE called to be the mother of His only begotten Son.

As our Pastor Fr. A. gave us to know: Mary didn't have a long list of fears, she knew God (because God had revealed Himself to her, in the relationship she had with Him). She knew her role as mother to this special babe Echoed 'I am the handmaid of the Lord, let it done to me according to thy Word'. From then on, Mary would be present and aware of her nurturing Our Lord. She would be present to all His needs. His first word, His first steps, His first few attempts at making those first steps, His joyous moments...she pondered all these in her heart...

Feast of the Nativity of Our Lord

MERRY CHRISTMAS And HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Celebrating the Birth of Christ Our Lord....

Baby Jesus
Gentle babe resting in a manger.
Gentle babe, our Savior King.
Sweet angelic scene so pure and right.
Light emanating that touches our senses.
Light luminating chasing out darkness.
Angelic Gloria! Sings in the background.
Slumbers so sweetly, as the shepherds greet him.
They cannot resist this sign of Glory!
Closer they come to see this beautiful sight.
Closer they come to pay homage, what a delight.

Gift of thankfulness to God, we say.
Gift of redemption we appreciate with love.
Gift of love one can not resist, but to embrace.
Gift close to our hearts, that we are awestruck.

Grateful hearts sing Alleluia!
Grateful hearts celebrate with Joy!
Grateful hearts are elated with Light!

New Year, 2015
New year of growing in our faith w/Christ.
New year full of hope.
New year full of love unconditional.
New year full of good health.
New year full of prosperity.
New year full of grace and blessings.
HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2015! :)
Thank you Father in Heaven for this sweet gift we can not resist and the new year to come!
