A Time to Ponder
Just recently I celebrated my 29th birthday. My husband took me out and we had a nice evening. I’m starting to get to the age where I don’t really care much for doing the whole birthday party thing. I rather have a nice quiet evening. The only thing I usually ask for is to not have to cook. Ha-ha.
On the way home my husband and I talked a bit about how we’re not exactly where we thought we would be at this point in our lives. We’re happy, mostly, just not where we thought we would be. We also...
Poem of the Month
Masks
Come now
Let us don our masks
That we use to hide
Ourselves from the world.
Chose wisely
For the wrong one
Will leave you exposed,
Open for judgment.
Check for cracks
And faded paint
Tie it secure
So it won’t slip or fall.
Come now
Let us don our masks
That helps us hide
From the world.

Nearly Time
Greetings Everyone!
Man, it has taken me a little while to get back into the swing of writing. I took a small break after The Lost Guardian but now, I’m regretting it. It’s alright though. I’m starting to find my groove again and I’m almost finished with the first five chapters of Souls in the Dark which is the continuation of Erin’s story. The sad thing is that I’ve only got six chapters planned. I got bogged down. Hopefully, by already writing what I have, it will help the creative juices to...

Poem of the Month
In honor of Valentines Day, I have decided to share a poem dedicated to love. However, I decided to take an unconventional approach. Instead of talking about how in love a person can be, I thought it would be better to have a poem showing the other side, when love starts to fade. Love is wonderful, I love my husband dearly, but sometimes things happen that get in the way of love. Maybe work is getting to be too much? Maybe there was a fight and both parties are too proud to say they are sorry...

Sons of Liberty
I’m so excited! Tonight Sons of Liberty premiers on the History Channel at 9 pm. It will only run for three nights but it looks interesting. History Channel did something similar about the Hatfields and McCoys and it was awesome! I also love the show Vikings! So if you’re a history buff who loves new takes on old stories tune in tonight!

New Segment
Greetings!
I was shifting through some of my work later this evening, and I came across my poem folder. Now I’m not going to lie, some of them are quite cringe worthy, but some I still like. I don’t write many poems but I would like to share some of them with you. The one that I’m starting off with is something that I wrote in 2005 back when I was an angry teen, but didn’t really know who I was angry at. However, as I read it, it stands pretty true (to me) for today’s problems. So I hope you e...
So Hard to Say No.
While I was proofing The Lost Guardian, I took it to work so that I could work on it during my down time. I also wanted to show my kids. They were amazed. They’ve never meet anyone who has wrote a book. One girl kept saying, “Oh my God! You’re famous!”
Needless to say, I laughed and set her straight. No…I’m not famous. I’m just published. Would I like to be famous? It could be fun, but for now, I’m just happy to be done.
Then I got bombarded with questions about my book. They looked so sad when...
