Be on the lookout for my usual Wednesday post later on today. On another note, I’ve done some remodeling of my Patreon page. 2019 Writing Resolutions
With the new year comes promises that we make to ourselves to help us grow throughout the year. More often than not, we fall off the bandwagon and try again next year. I know I’m bad about that but I aim to be better. In addition to some other goals that are personal, I have a few writing goals as well.
Goal #1: To write every day
I got a nifty little planner book from a Scribler box last month and I’m gonna use that to track my daily work counts. I’m planning...

Book Review: Girl Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis
I hope that you all had a lovely holiday, are well rested and ready for the New Year! My reading resolution is to read a greater variety of books. I read a fair amount of fantasy with a little science fiction and historical fiction sprinkled around, but not much nonfiction. Well that’s where today’s book comes into play. But before we begin, if you would like to support me and help me create better posts and books, please click the link below and head on over to...

5 Things That Irritate Me While Reading
I hope everyone is doing well. Right now I’m enjoying the first snow of the season. Any who, I’ve had some people ask me about what I look for when it comes to my book reviews. I don’t really have a set method per say, just some things or tropes that get under my skin consistently. So without further ado here are my top five things that irritate me while reading.
Number 1: A world with little to no explanations.World building can make or break your novel. There’...

Carrying NaNoWriMo writing habits past November
Even though I didn’t win NaNo (congrats to everyone who did) I still liked the basic premise. The idea of a word goal has always a four letter word to me. I don’t usually like to put constraints on my writing, but if you want to pursue writing as a career, then you have to treat it like one. Having a daily, or even weekly, word count goal not only keeps you on track but also makes you accountable for the effort you put in. So here’s how you can keep your NaNo writ...

NaNoWrimo: The Final Verdict
With November coming to a close, so does NaNoWrimo. I decided to give it a whirl to see what it’s all about and see if it’s even worth it. So here’s what I found….
Hitting the daily word requirements wasn’t as bad as I thought. It usually took my only a couple of hours to hit 1667.
Word sprints are your best friend and I will keep using them FOREVER! Set a timer and pound out as many words as you possible can. No time to over think, just get it out.
