A Big Change
Today’s post is bittersweet. Today I’m starting the process of transitioning away from a traditional blog to solely working on Youtube.
It was been a wonderful journey with each and everyone of you these past 8 years. I appreciate all the memories and laughs.
The reason why I’m switching is because I really enjoy making videos and I just don’t have the time to run both, especially when it’s the same content.
So thank you for being with me on this journey. If you wa...

5 Ways to Avoid Editing Burnouts
I hope everyone is having a lovely Wednesday. I hope that it’s not too cold, too wet, or whatever where you are.
Today I’m gonna talk about a problem that I run into all the time edit burnouts. If you don’t suffer from this, then you are one lucky person. But for those of us who do, it sucks.
Editing burnouts are (for me at least) hell on earth. I stare at the page but I don’t see anything. I end up rereading the same words over and over and what I do rewrite i...

Top 5 Favorite Couples
In honor of Valentine’s Day, I decided to do something a little different this Monday. Instead of reviewing a book, I’m going to talk about my favorite couples in books and other media. Let’s get going.
5. Percy and Annabeth (Olympians and Heroes of Olympus)
I love these two because they don’t start off liking each other. They’re barely even friends. But as the series progress we see them start to recognize each other’s strengths and support each other when lack...

Lessons learned from my first book release party
The infamous, all important book release party. From the moment I sat down to write my first book, I’ve always wanted to do one. I used to practice interview questions like I was a famous author all the time like we all do… No? Just me?
Any who. For my latest book, Time of Prophecy, the epic conclusion to The Lost Guardian Trilogy, I decided to give it a whirl and try to make it happen. And here are some things I learned, the good and the bad.
1. Indie book...

Channeling My Inner Evil
Writing series can be exhausting. It’s more of an endurance race than a sprint like a single book. I like to have rough synopsis of my entire series because it can help me keep key points on track. When I start, I don’t always know how it will end. Mostly because my brain is like an ADHD child in a candy store. I get ideas, characters and what have you all the time.
Getting to the point, over the weekend, I was wrapping up what I thought was going to be the last...
