Untitled

I’ve been going back and forth on making a post on this blog about the events of yesterday, and what happened in Paris. It was a tragedy on all levels, and while it brought up old, stinging wounds in how much it reminds me and others of what happened on 9/11 in New York City, I’m finding the words difficult to pin down.

I saw something on Facebook, king of social media kings, about not praying for Paris, and praying for the world instead as there is violence ripping across non-European region...

Inktober + OC October – Final Batch

First Batch.

Second Batch.

I’m sad to say I did not finish this challenge. I ended up burning out by the end and was so sick of drawing people that I just lost my motivation to finish it. I also got very busy at the end of the month as I had to start focusing on a lot of other things all at once, but that’s not relevant here. Anyway, I had fun with the aliens and mythical creatures and some of the humans, butI still had mostly people to go in the end, and after getting the major characters ou...

The Masquerade Crew’s November Cover Wars

This is pretty cool. The Masquerade Crew, known for their book review website, has an additional feature called the Cover Wars. This is a little mini contest where book covers compete against one another for votes. Anyone can visit the site and vote for the cover(s) that catches their fancy.

This month, the cover of my scifi novelChasing Shadows is battling it out for a spot in Round 2. I’d really appreciate any and all votes!

Exciting news about “Chasing Shadows”

Yesterday, Chanticleer Reviews released their “short list” for the 2015 Cygnus Awards. I’m thrilled to be able to say that my first novel,Chasing Shadows, made the cut!

From here, the book will go on to compete for a First Place ribbon within its subcategories, but to have made the short list is really amazing. Whether it places or not in the future, I’m so excited right now! Thank you, Chanticleer Reviews, and congratulations to the other authors who made the list!!

Well, THAT happened…

You’d think that with the amount of money you have to drop in order toowna laptop, and especially a Mac, you should be able to safely save things to your desktop and not worry about them vanishing into thin air in such a sudden and spectacular fashion that it would’vemade Harry Houdini green with envy.

I learned the hard way that this is not the case.

You laptop can and–when the mood strikes it or, I don’t know, the moon is three-quarters full and the wind changes direction a fortnight before...

Inktober + OC October – Second Batch

Round two of the October art challenges, Inktober + OC October. Round one here!I think I’m getting better at people. Slowly. Maybe… More importantly, aliens are always fun!!

It’s like a goat and a dinosaur made a hellspawn together. I’m so pleased. Inktober + OC October Day 11: Ametrian Species

Thankfully isolated to a single planet, Ametrians are one of (if not the) deadliest creatures in the galaxy. Essentiallyangry eating machines, they have a one-track mind and tend to bite anything new...
