#Excerpt from #Outcast by #JenniferReynolds Coming 2016

I finished my read-through of resistant today. I have a few small notes to work through tomorrow, then I'm sending it off to my editor. I'm so excited. :) :) This will be my last excerpt from that novel for a while. I hope you enjoy it.

*****New Release*****Resistant, a Sci-Fi/Horror Romance*****$2.99*****

Before the outbreak, Sahara was a high school teacher living alone in a small Alabama town. She saw her life as nothing more than endless days of teaching children Shakespeare and nights reading paranormal romances. She was happy with her life, as quiet and mundane as it was. After the outbreak, Sahara becomes a warrior traveling across the country in search of sanctuary. She spends her days and nights killing zombies, searching for food, trying to maintain her sanity, and if Daniel has his say, finding love. How will Sahara help those who are left find safety and stability in a world full of nightmares? Will she stop resisting the man she loves and open her heart, knowing that he may not live through the next second let alone the next year? Join Sahara and her people in a fight against creatures set out to devour them and the unknown threat controlling them to find out. #jenniferreynolds #resistant #romance #scifi #horror #zombie #ebookhttp://www.amazon.com/Resistant-Jennifer-Reynolds-ebook/dp/B014TAMTA0https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/576968                        https://www.allromanceebooks.com/product-resistant-1891118-171.htmlhttp://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/resistant-mrs-jennifer-lynn-reynolds/1122653906?ean=2940152358179https://store.kobobooks.com/en-us/ebook/resistant-5https://itunes.apple.com/us/book/resistant/id1041018211?mt=11https://www.goodreads.com/story/show/402724-resistant?chapter=0https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/26101354-resistant

#WIP It Up Wednesday #Excerpt from #SayingGoodbye

Welcome back to WIP IT UP WEDNESDAY. If you are new to this hop or are just now deciding that joining this hop would be a great idea, visit the WIP IT IP WEDNESDAY blog home page at:  http://wipitupwednesday.blogspot.co.uk/  to read the sign-up instructions. Also on that page, you will find links to other wonderful authors and their WIP.Today I’ll be sharing excerpts from my upcoming novella, Saying Goodbye. Right now, this novella is still hung up in editing. I may wait until January to release it, as I’ve heard that new releases in November and December don’t do well. My editor has been a bit busy, so she hasn’t had a chance to work on the novella as much as she would like. I don’t have a synopsis for the novel yet (because I’m lazy), but in a nutshell this novel is a paranormal love story/love triangle about a ghost who is trying to find a way to stay on earth to be with the love of his life. In doing so, he introduces her to a man that she might start having feelings for. I’m going to stay with Saying Goodbye for a few more weeks, but then I’ll be switching gears again moving on to Outcast, a paranormal romance that I’m hoping will go on sale early next year. The following snippet comes right after the last snippet I posted. They are at the party and bantering with one of Michael’s friends.  ---An hour later, the party was in full bloom. Michael had had about three beers more than Erica would have liked, but he wasn’t plastered, just really happy. Erica on the other hand was annoyed. After his fourth beer, one of his friends came over and suggested they do something stupid—with the music pounding so loud in her ear, she didn’t hear what the guy had said, but he was drunk so it had to be stupid—and the two boys were off, leaving her alone with a bunch of people she didn’t know. Because she put so much effort into her job, Erica hadn’t made that many friends at school, and the ones she had made either weren’t there yet or weren’t coming. She wandered around the party for a while, looking for Michael and a familiar face. Drunk people kept trying to put drinks in her hand, to pull her onto the dance floor, or just bump into her. Erica was by no means a prude. She had done all of that, had been one of those people not long before, but over the previous few months, she’d grown up. She’d done too many stupid things while plastered and listened to too many of her friends talk about the dumb stuff they’d done to want to continue down that road. She was tired of being embarrassed. Michael said that doing stupid things was the point of getting drunk. Maybe it was, but she had begun to feel as if it was all a little pointless. After a certain point, being drunk stopped being fun and started hurting. By the end of those nights, Erica had a headache, she was vomiting, and she was bruised from stumbling into things and people. Not only that but she was tired of guys trying to get her to do things while she was drunk. Michael wouldn’t have been friends with half of his frat brothers if he knew how many of them had hit on her at one of their parties. Erica didn’t see herself as one of those girls that all of the guys wanted. She saw herself as being pretty average looking with average height, average weight, plain features, light-amber, medium length hair. She didn’t see herself as being anything special. People’s inhibitions were just low while drunk, she knew, and they were indifferent as to who they were with as long as they were with someone. At any given party, at least two of Michael’s friends asked her to sneak away with them. Yeah, sometimes they were joking, but more often than not, she was sure that if she had said say yes, they would have followed through. She was fortunate none of them had tried to force themselves on her. Erica knew that she should have probably told Michael, but none of them hit on her while sober, and she didn’t think they ever would. If one of them had done that, she would have known they really wanted her, and then she would have told him. There was no need in messing up their friendship over nothing. Because of all of that, and because of her new job, one that she was beginning to truly enjoy and wanted to excel in, she decided to stop drinking like that. Michael thought she was being too serious and told her to enjoy being young while she could. In a year, he told her, he would be running a restaurant and wouldn’t have much time to do that kind of partying, so he wanted to enjoy the life while he could, and he wanted her to do the same. She understood what he was saying, but drinking had lost its appeal for her. ---That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed it.

All Hallows Reads Book Party Author/Book Spotlight: The Calling by Louise White

http://www.amazon.com/The-Calling-Gateway.../dp/B00IZPSKUO

http://www.amazon.com/The-Calling-Gateway.../dp/B00IZPSKUO

Reviews:

“The calling is a fantastic, fast paced read with a little bit of everything including suspense, romance, fantasy and paranormal.” – Leigh (Amazon au)

“When you think of magic, mages and demons let me guess Harry Potter or Buffy The Vampire Slayer springs to mind, am I right? Well this isn't a television show or movie you can safely view from home or you can hit pause when the scenes gets scary. No this is my life, imagine a doorway leading to another realm or planet appearing. Just like in Stargate SG-1 minus all the fancy lights and armed Marines. Every time the gate opens something explosive happens forcing me to answer its call. Just like with any door demons, monsters and other Otherworlders comes out and not all of them are very friendly. Who am I you ask? To my friends I'm Carolyn McInally. To my enemies, I'm known as the Destroyer!” – Christine (Amazon.com)

“YA urban fantasies have been the thing for the last few years. However, The Calling is an original spin on an old otherworldly tale. It's a great read with an ending that will make you demand more.” – A. E. Albert (Amazon.com)

“There was lots of excitement, danger and the cliff-hanger at the end was inspired.” – OnSpecials (Amazon.com)

Author bio:Louise lives on the scenic west coast of Scotland with her very tolerant family. She didn't set out to write Urban fantasy, but when she sat with her laptop to begin The Calling, It became apparent that she still believed in the Bogey Men, the Monster in the cupboard and of course, the Faeries at the bottom of the garden. Suddenly she was writing about Heroes who could be found both on our doorsteps and in the realms that lie beyond.website: www.louisewhitebooks.com https://www.facebook.com/louisewhitethecalling https://twitter.com/LGWhiteAuthor

All Hallows Reads Book Party Author/Book Spotlight: Jen Ponce

Reviews:
“Devany Miller has earned the distinction of becoming my most favorite, fictional female character. She’s the epitome of real life, modern woman.” Lex Allen

“The Bazaar pulls you in and grabs hold of your eyes until you have read the last sentence. Several layers of worlds Ms. Ponce has created with all the characters, magic and macabre that should come out of them and a kick ass woman, Devany Miller as the lead. Ms Ponce has the gift of the genre.” Sherri Williams

“All I can say is, Wow! This is the best fantasy/sci-fi book I have read in a long time and I’m really looking forward to the next book in the series.” Tommi

Author bio:
Jen Ponce lives in the Panhandle of NE with her three boys, three cats, and her goldfish Reggie. Jen’s love for reading came from her mom, who valued books above all things (except maybe the Dallas Cowboys and Michael Jordan.) She writes for the same reason some people run marathons, climb mountains, sculpt, paint, or put on suits of Mentos and jump into vats of Coke: because there is a fire burning inside her that doesn’t let her NOT write.
