~*~ Cable Companies ~*~
When it comes to cable, I don’t want all of the channels. I simply want the ones that will keep my children quiet and entertained. (i.e. Nick Jr, Disney Jr., etc.) Cable companies know this. This is why the cable companies only have one or two in each package. They are forcing us to buy the biggest package to keep our kids quiet. Ridiculous! Damn you, cable company! I’m on to you!!!!

Call it as it is…
So often we tap dance and try to sugar coat mental illness & what it is like to live with it or handle it. (i.e. ourselves, loved ones, etc.) I have a son with autism & mood disorder. He’s 12 years old and let me tell you, it fucking sucks. It is so exhausting. Dealing with doctors & their different ideas, dealing with his hormones, dealing with his outbursts, not being able to work longer than a few weeks because he can’t handle the change (autism), not being able to hire a babysitter who will be able to handle him, not being able to go out to certain places because he’ll flip the fuck out, and so on & so forth.
So, for those who want to sugar coat it, congratulations, you’re part of the problem. You’re the reason why society thinks parents dealing with an outraged special needs child are ‘bad parents’. You’re the reason why society thinks the parents taking antidepressants is weak. You’re the reason why society thinks the parents, screaming and crying are overreacting. You’re the problem. Sorry, but I’m calling it how it is.
People are so quick to judge. These people are also the problem. We shouldn’t have to hide mental illness. We should be able to talk about it. The more we talk about it, the more brains we put together, the more ideas we can come up with to help those with mental illness. Hell, I have mental illnesses. (i.e. anxiety, depression, and so on & so forth) I have to take medication for it & since my son’s recent mood disorder, I’ve had to go up in dosage for all of my medication. It isn’t fun trying to manage my own sanity and his, but I deal with it. I’m not asking for a pat on the back. All I’m asking for is society to stop thinking special needs is cute & cuddly. (I’m sure there are some that are, but there are also ones that aren’t. Stop turning a blind eye. Stop judging kiddos who do have the not so cuddly mental illnesses. Stop judging the parents who are raising those kiddos. I promise, we’re doing the best we can with what knowledge the world has to offer. If I could get a degree for all of the scientific articles I have read, I’d have a damn PhD. So, please, try to understand us…

M.R. Wallace is a very vivid writer. No matter, which genre he is writing, he never ceases to create the images in your head. He pulls you into his writing. You feel like you are their watching the events transpire. It’s chilling the way he is able to do that with words. Reading “Blind Desires”, I felt like a peeping Tom, because I felt like I was in the room with Renee and Dominic! LOL Total pervert, but that is just how damn good M.R.Wallace is at writing. If you’re looking for a naughty, vivid, jaw-dropping read “Blind Desires” is the one for you! (fans self)

Kids eating too many sweets? Have no fear…
Most kids LOVE sweets. Anything with sugar in it. Kids are dentists best friends. With Halloween around the corner, I thought I would be a superhero and help deter my children and yours from eating sweets. So, I trolled the internet. I have found the way to get kids to think twice about sweets…well, unless yours are morbid, then this might spike their taste for candy. Either way, check this out….

Okay. Let’s be honest, for a minute or two. Does anyone actually read blogs by authors? If they do, what is it that attracts the reader to the blog? Is it loads of information on a topic? Giveaways? Or videos/pictures? I have this blog, but I want it to be more than just a bunch of words on a screen. I want it to be engaging. Not cut and paste dry. Not overly dramatic. I want it to show the real me. Grant it, I’m usually bat-shit-crazy most of the time, ( :-p ) but nonetheless, I want you all to see the true me. ❤
I’m always looking for ways to improve my ways of reaching readers, followers, etc. So, if you have an idea or two, I would love to hear them.

Life…
Holy hell!?! I have missed you guys. Seems like it has been years since I have been able to sit down and blog. I am currently battling a stress migraine due to round 3,000,000 with my son (the kiddo with autism & mood disorder – puberty). Sigh. Sucks, but it is what it is. Just have to get passed the next couple days of no meds. I decided to take him off of meds, because we have had issue after issue with doctors being switched and switching the medication. Well, this caused a chain reaction in his body and the cons outweighed the pros, so NOPE no more. I’m not doing that to my kiddo anymore. I was hoping the doctors would get their shit together, but clearly, they aren’t. (Most recent doc, if you’re reading this, thanks for the phone call back…sarcasm) I’m just going to have to monitor his diet, make sure he stays hydrated and put exercise in his daily routine (we have a pool, so he swims almost every day). Just have to wait out the storm… Let me tell you, my house is an emotional rollercoaster, that I went to just jump off as we’re plummeting to the ground, but he needs me, so I have to stay strong. [image error] Life of a special needs parent.

Cobwebbs
I had to dust of the cobwebbs. My poor laptop has gotten no action thanks to me working full-time, being a mom and being a zombie. I average 16 miles a day of walking at work. I come home to a household that is upinarms most of the time. My special needs son is regressing back to aggressive and inappropriate behavior. Life has just sucked! Truly.
I want to blog daily, just need to figure out a way to do it. My phone and blogging don’t quite seem compatible to me. But, we shall see. I may give it a try. (SIGH)
Wish I could pack a bag and disappear for a few days. Just sit under..** I couldn’t even type a full paragraph before my special needs son flipped the f*ck out [image error] I really wish that doctors would get on the same page with medications. One doctor is okay with a med, another one isn’t…so on so forth, so any time there is a switch in doctors it disrupts our ENTIRE family. Thank you mental health world.
