This Self-Portrait Will Change Your Life, Week Twenty-Six - "Half-way."

Can you feel the excitement? We thought so. We have reached the half-way point in our year-long effort to post one self-portrait of ourselves per week for one year and the staff here at TBWCYL, Inc. headquarters are quite geeked. We also want to be sure that you know that you can follow the project in its entirety at the Flickr and while we would be thrilled to post a self-portrait of you as well here on This Blog Will Change Your Life, after six months we are wondering if anyone is going to tak

CellStories.

Dan Sinker the founder of the now deceased, but always stellar Punk Planet has a new joint called CellStories that was highlighted in The Chicago Reader this week. He thinks that you want to read short stories on your iPhone, iPod Touch or similar mobile device. Or will anyway. And we think this could be quite cool. What do you think?

Recommended Reading. The Mesler. And more.

We keep stumbling into the quite awesome Recommended Reading blog where they interview any number of excellent writers about all things books and reading. We have been wanting to give them a shout-out sooner than this, but definitely found ourselves compelled to do so today after we saw that they had interviewed long-time TBWCYL, Inc. favorite and This Zine Will Change Your Life contributor Corey Mesler. We hope you will take a look and if you happen to be from the blog itelf please note that we

New mud luscious and Blue Print Review.

Blue Print Review and mud luscious, two quite fine literary e-zines that have been great supporters of the Repetition Patterns - see here and here respectively - have new issues out and we think that you might want to take a look. Now, will doing so change your life? We think its a distinct possibility.

Life. Love. Comics. And the Tim Hall.

TBWCYL, Inc. favorite This Zine Will Change Your Life contributor Tim Hall has a very cool new serial-type joint going on at ACT-I-VATE called Uplift The Positivicals which he describes as "a free form serial about life, love, and comics." We just think of it as very Tim Hall which means we definitely think you should take a look. Yeah, like now, thanks.

Sunlight At Midnight, Darkness At Noon - The Cunningham/McCreesh letters Volume 1.

Are we biased? Of course we are. Does that mean however that these letters aren't full of rage, beauty and ragged glory? It does not. And do we think reading them just might change your life? We do. So please take a look and then let us know what you think. Cool? Great.

Guth. Pink. McClanahan. Tanzer? This Reading Will Change Your Life, so please join us July 24th for some Book Cellar reading love won't you?

Yeah, so, we have unabashedly been hyping the Scott McClanahan and his new joint Stories, so imagine how geeked we are to have the chance to read in support of him at The Book Cellar on July 24th at 7:00pm? Now, what if we also had the chance to read with the very awesome Amy Guth, writer, blogger, runner and one time guest of This Podcast Will Change Your Life and, and, the Sam Pink, author of I AM GOING TO CLONE MYSELF AND THE KILL CLONE AND EAT IT and the first writer ever published in This Z

This Self-Portrait Will Change Your Life, Week Twenty-Five - "UP."

We saw the UP today with the boys and the UP is glorious, hence the title choice for this week's edition of This Self-Portrait Will Change Your Life, our effort to post one-self-portrait per week for one year. We would add that we are but one week away from the half-way mark of this project and we are just a little excited about it. We also want to add that you should feel free to follow the project on the Flickr and if you too would like to see a self-portrait of yourself posted right here at T
